He chatted away and made me feel like I was doing him a favour instead of the other way around...a genuinely nice guy!

I thought the website was simple and easy to use - you can add your shops to your favourites which is handy if you ended up getting the same sort of things every week. Sainsburys were doing £15 off your first shop over £60 and £10 off your next four shops over £50 - which was why we decided to shop with Sainsburys- I love a wee discount. You can amend your order before 11pm the night before your shopping is due to arrive. So If you notice you've run out of something you can just log on and update your order. Sainsburys do not process the payment until they've packed your order. You can also choose hourly slots for your shopping to be delivered - starting from as little as £1 ranging up to about £5. I also noticed that if your shopping costs less than £25 the delivery will cost £6 - ours would never cost less than £25 so we didn't have to worry about that. I would recommend shopping with Sainsburys online. I also find the quality of Sainsburys food slightly better than Tescos or Asda.

There's a large alcohol, home and electrical section making this a real one stop shop. Hosed in the Kennedy thriving Kennedy centre there's not much to dislike about this supermarket. Although you can only buy your groceries at 1pm on a Sunday you are able to browse and fill your trolley much earlier and you'll avoid the queues when the tills eventually open.

There are often some very good special offers on so it is worth popping in now and again to see if you get a bargain! You can buy the National Lottery and get cash back from the tills which is useful and the staff are nice and pack your bags for you. Most people get their fruit and veg when they're doing their shopping at one of the big retail supermarkets, but if you're fortunate enough to live near a fruit shop then you can get fresh fruit and the odd good deal (although Lidl is becoming increasing difficult to compete with in the fruit and veg department). This place also has a small display which has fruit that will have to be eaten within two to three days, which is great for families with kids going to school with packed lunches. Amongst the bargains recently were six kiwis for 50p, five big bananas for 50p, and four apples for 50p. What more could you want in a credit crunch age when we're all being encouraged to eat more fruit and vegetables, and when we're supposed to be aiming for children to take in their "five-a-day"?

Sainsbury's is without a doubt the best supermarket in Armagh. Lovely helpful staff, large…read moreselection of products (including vegetarian options) and a great off licence stocking a superb wine selection. Quality produce and excellent own brand items. I adore Sainsbury's Nut Cutlets and their own brand vegetarian mince is the best you'll get anywhere. Sainsbury's also stock a brilliant range of soy, coconut and nut milks as well as soya yogurts. You can get your parking ticket stamped in-store which allows you to park free if doing a grocery shop. They also sell clothes and a full range of 'free from' items if you want dairy or gluten free food. I highly recommend the awesome in store made pizzas, breads and pastries. At Christmas and New Year Sainsbury's have a special range of fabulous food you can order and collect in store, I would especially recommend the: *Three nut roast with cranberry sauce *Butternut & mushroom en croute *Limoncello buche de Noel If you want indulgent, treat foods try Sainsbury's 'Taste The Difference' range. I have *always* wanted to have a peek in Green's. Until yesterday, I thought it was some form of…read morespeciality food shop but it is, in actual fact, just an old school grocery store. And I like old-school. Very reminiscent of Stewart's (they were the days), Green's has a little line of retro tills just as you walk through the door. Beyond this are aisles upon aisles of every kind of food you'd expect to find in a grocery store. Some of the stock is slightly different to what you'd find in Tesco etc. - they had rather a lot of Scottish biscuits and shortbread for example. Nice. The highlight of my visit was the pic n mix section, and this was really old-school. More old-school than I initially realised. Having selected my sweets and lumped them all in one of the plastic bags provided, I headed towards the till and set the bag down. "Oooh, they need weighed love", said the shop assistant, and marched off towards the pic n mix section, with my sister and I hot on her heels. "Sorry, I didn't realise!", I explained, but she wasn't fazed in the slightest. She placed the bag on a set of scales (yes...remember those?! They even gave you a little sticker to put on your items), and headed back to the till. I apologised once again, saying I hadn't realised that the shop was quite so nostalgic, but she just laughed and said, "Ah, this is Green's after all!". I appreciated that. Rummaging through my purse, I produced three pound coins, ready for her to inform me of the price. "£1.64 love" came the unexpected statement. 'Sweet!' (in more ways than one) thought I...it was a heavy bag, and I was prepared to pay quite a bit more. It really was the icing on the cake, so to speak. Happy days...until *someone* ate all my pic n mix, that is. Grrrr. Just means I'll have to pop back someday...

Green's is somewhere I have always walked past in Lisburn, but not gone into, until recently…read more It is a proper wee old fashioned convenience store, something that you literally never see anymore. A thought flashed through my head for a second, wondering how in the world they would get any business, what with the huge Teso superstore in Lisburn, until I took a good look around, the place was absolutely packed. Then I took a closer look. The prices were very, very competitive. I don't know how they do it, but it's a brilliant thing, to see a shop like this nowadays, and not just some generic supermarket. It doesn't look that big from the front, but it's like a tardis inside, with lots of aisles and even a coffee shop in there! There is a huge pick and mix section (I resisted temptation with all my willpower!) and lots of brands you wouldn't often see in the supermarket, including lots of household names, all stacked neatly, with labels facing the front, with great care. I will never bypass this wee shop again!
