When it was my time to get massaged, I walked into a large room with a massage table in the middle. The dim lights are perfect, the music and nature sounds are relaxing, and I think there are some essential oils/humidifier action going. The massage itself was relaxing and not hard. This would be the perfect massage for someone under stress or who wants to try a massage for the first time. I had severe knots in my shoulders and neck and was desperate for a therapist but didn't know where to go too. Luckily my coworker recommended me to go to Massage in Session and it was conveniently located to Avondale. Now I am very picky about my therapist but was so relieved when my first session was completed. Crystal took out some of my knots (I already made my next appointment) and know it will take several sessions to get them completely out. What I didn't realize was how truly messed up I was. My thighs were tight, my one hip locked up and she was able to pop it back in place. Even with yoga and stretching that one hip has been a problem. She literally healed me. I'm excited and look forward to my next appointment and to complete healing. I am very fortunate to have really amazing insurance that covers the cost and I just have to pay the copay. I truly believe in massage therapy and that it's one of the things that people should incorporate in their well being. Unfortunately many people feel that getting a massage is a luxury and not an essential part of staying fit. If you're able to get insurance to cover some of the cots, I can guarantee monthly massages will get rid of the majority of health issues you encounter. I normally do it in cash, but I sure forgot as I was leaving. Anyway, they sent me a questionnaire about my health and why I was receiving the service. When I arrived 5 minutes early, Holly let me in and showed me to the room. She double-checked what I needed. I explained that I was going through an unexpected change. She knew immediately I needed stress relief. She left me to get undressed to my level of comfort and went to stress relief town. It was so good every time she did a new spot.
