If I could give zero stars I would, not only was I groomed by her she stole tens of thousands of dollars from my family. I found out later I was one of at least 3 people she had done the same thing too, she had shared all of my personal info including the reasons I was there which was to get away from an alcoholic abuser with another client she had been stealing from as well, even pictures of my house! Ironically and sadly this person had gone to high school with my brother. Which Jeanna did not know about. She then pretended to be my friend while "charging" me for social calls. I even got charged for putting extensions in her hair. I had left a review a few years ago and it somehow disappeared or she started a new page. She is on probation with the state and is currently under review to have her license revoked. The only way she would pay part of what she stole was if I agreed to throw her colleague who tipped me off and had to leave the practice once she figured out how unethical they are, under the bus. I was devastated when I finally sat down and figured out what she had not only stolen financially but stolen my trust and friendship. It has caused me great grief and even some depression at the time. I considered her a close friend and she used me like I was nothing. The whole time acting like she was my best friend and I was her best friend. It's evil and wrong. She has no business counseling anyone and should be in therapy herself and in jail. I am glad to be free of her. Do not go here her office manager is as corrupt as she is they falsified notes and documents because they had no records. Also if you are a therapist do not work here, she will push you to take advantage of the clients and overcharge for her. She is a master manipulator. I spoke with a person who specializes in working with offenders and I told him my story and he said she is a predator. She acts like she is sweet and caring but it's a facade. She just wants your money. It's so sad and unnecessary. I hope the board finds her guilty and stops her from hurting other people. Jeana, Truly cares about her client's.2 1/2 years ago I went through a devastating Trumatic experience. And it changed my world forever. It's been very difficult to cope and feel like I can move on after my loss. I struggle to grieve and have tremendous amounts of guilt. There's just some things people won't understand and this is one of them...I had a very painful loss, I lost my dog (Buddy) to a Veterinarian I had trusted for 20 + years. My heart was ripped into half & I will never be the same person after this horrified series, I experienced with this vets practice.Jeana has helped me through Enormous emotional, psychological and mental damages. No pet-Owner should ever lose a pet the way I did. Jeana loves animals especially cats.She understands very well how pets impact us. Their apart of the family, their of value you & matter deeply to us. And we cannot live without our pets. I paid a very expensive price by losing my dog to unethical vet.And that price was because I trusted a veterinarian I thought loved animals. But as it turns out-I had to learn the hard way. There is a major problem and issue with vets these days, more and more our, Practicing, unethically. And when you believe and trust your vet is good. You never know if your pet will be a victim of malpractice. Or if your pet is actually Receiving the best possible medical treatment & care provided. Jeana really understands pet loss/grief. She loves her cats and knows the importance of pets being a value in our lives, or if the pet is for Medical/the emotional treatment. The only way I've been working through coping with my pain and anxiety... Is because working with Jeana over these last 2 1/2 years is helping. It takes a lot of time, energy and effort. I really had to be vulnerable and open up emotionally about my pain and working through all these visual images, nightmares, triggers, not being able to care for myself.I would not be in the place I am today without her. Jeana is an excellent counselor! She has been invaluable to my healing journey. I have leaned on her during the loss of my mom, my kids leaving home for college, the loss of 3 fur babies, some career decisions and stressful times. She is highly intuitive, knowledgable, self-aware, open and honest. She is accessible via her cell phone so that I can make an appointment, ask a question or reach out when I need a little advice. Jeana creates a feeling of warmth and safety. I look forward to our meetings even thought they can be painful at times. Grief is awful and she walked me through it. I have cried and cried, but we have also laughed together. She is the only therapist I will ever use and now that online counseling is so common, I don't have to worry if one of us moves! That is how I lost my first therapist...I moved and it was honestly a painful loss. It caused me to hesitate to start over, but when I knew I was going to lose my mom, I called. I have been going to Jeana at A Safe Place to Heal for several years. First with my husband for marriage counseling, then eventually as an individual. She was VERY insightful and fair with my husband and I, and helped us a great deal. Since then we have been to see her as a couple when something comes up that we're having trouble dealing with, and she's always helped us work it out. She's very fair and never takes sides - she's as professional as they get. With her help, we are approaching our 30th Anniversary! As an individual, I have been seeing her weekly, off and on for 9 years. When I reach a point in my life where I need help moving forward, I call her. She's always helped me get back on track and through whatever crisis has come up. I am so fortunate to have found Jeana when I moved to McKinney. It was hard to adjust to life away from home (Washington). She helped me so much! She is a wonderful. I am so glad my friend recommended her and I want to do the same thing for someone else. She is a confidant, a mom, a cat lover, and a true crime buff! My daughter was moving into an apartment for college and wanted to adopt a pet. She has always had a dog or a cat living at home with the family. She has anxiety and I knew she would do better if she had a dog. Her long time therapist, Jeana, offered to write a letter for her recommending her dog serve as an emotional support animal. I didn't know I could have her entire pet deposit and monthly pet surcharge waived until Jeana told me! She saved me a $500 deposit and $50 pet surcharge (ridiculous) per month for the duration of my daughter's lease!!! Thank you so much! And of course, her anxiety is so much better because of Jeana's help and because I have peace of mind knowing her dog is there to to keep my baby company! I can't recommend this practice enough! Jeana is the best therapist! It is nice to have a therapist who has seen me go through so many changes over the last 15 years. Sometimes we see each other weekly and sometimes we don't see each other for months at a time. However, it is comforting to know that I always have my therapist there when I need to talk and all I have to do is shoot her a text and she responds the same day. That is so RARE these days!! I feel like trying to see a doctor is anxiety inducing all by itself with the portals and online scheduling. I am old school. I think texting is as advanced as I am going to get so sending a text and saying, "any openings?" and hearing, something like, "Sure! Friday at noon?" makes it SO easy and personal. Jeana at "A safe Place to Heal" is the most talented therapist I have ever visited. She is endlessly kind, truly empathetic, and knows how to keep you in the solution not the problem.
