It's a good thing I don't live in Kearney since I would want to go here all the time. It's one of the stops on this year's Nebraska Passport. Yes, it's a drive from Omaha, but I decided to make a two day trip and visit others in the passport too.

She wore plastic gloves and completed the order accepting cash with her gloves on and then returned cash change while still wearing her gloves. She then scratched her face and pushed up her eyeglasses with her gloves still on then picked up the metal ice cream implements with the same gloves on and asked me what I'd like. I politely asked her to wash her hands and change her gloves. "Could you please wash your hands and change your gloves?" She replied, "I didn't do anything. I don't need to." Again, politely I replied, "But you handled money and scratched your face." Her reply, "Yeah, but I didn't do anything." My reply, "You touched money and your face." Her reply, "I didn't do anything, but fine, I'll go wash my hands." She walked into the back and I decided that I didn't want to risk her understanding of safe food handling, so I turned to leave the store. Grand Island is Nebraska's hot spot for COVID-19 and has been in the nation's top percentage for the pandemic. No one in the store had on a mask. There were no instructions or social distancing signs or measures. Shame on you and your franchisee for not adequately equipping your young inexperienced staff.
