Once again, another night out on the north side. Yes, its true, it got to that time where we realised that we have not had anything to eat with the beverages we'd been focused on drinking.
Completely past the idea of having anther delivery pizza, my friend threw down his best option for us. The take away menu read A Thai 5, he told us to order anything off it. He said that he could guarantee that everything on that folded up piece of paper was all boss and that if we didn't like what we ordered he's reimburse us the amount of the meal. A pretty big call I though.
So with that in mind, the majority of us ordered the Yellow Curry and two ordered the Pad Thai. In addition we purchased several large coconut rices and a hoards worth of vegetarian spring rolls. Ten minutes later we were rounding into Blackwood Street (on foot) and heading towards a small and empty restaurant. It was say, almost 9pm on a Monday night so we we're happy to see that there was no line up. We got out plastic bags and quick marched back to the pad and unleashed the feeding.
There was a good few minutes where people didn't talk to one another. When we did, it was only to compliment the wise investment we had just made. The Yellow Curry was full of flavour and spices, the proportion was so much that I had enough to save for lunch the next day. The spring rolls were light and crisp with no hint of being too oily or over cooked.
At the end of the feed only one of us around the table had a problem with eating from A Thai 5. When pressed his answer was simple. He had nothing left to take home. read more
