The owner said she would make me 2 pairs, one for distance one to read. When I went to pick them up there were 3 pairs waiting for me. She had made me a third for the computer! I can't say too many good things about the service I received here. I took in my badly broken glasses where the frames had a failed weld. I was treated politely and told to come back in 1 day. 24 hours later, the repair had been completed, and my $800 pair of glasses were fixed! I was on vacation in Bend when my glasses fell out of my pocket while suiting up for skiing (I had my prescription sunglasses on), and someone promptly stepped on them with a skiboot. Luckily no glass broke, but the frames were so bent I couldn't put them on. I'm a mess without my glasses, so I looked up glasses repair in Bend. The closest place to me said free adjustments so I went there, but the were still under "Covid restrictions" and "appointment-only" service. Next on my list was A to Z. I showed up walked in and was immediately and warmly greeted and taken care of. They fixed my glasses so that they fit better (and were much cleaner!) than ever before. It will take me longer to review this shop than it took them to fix my Oakley sunglasses. I've had a broken pair of Oakley sunglasses for 8 years. I kept them because 'someday' I would send them to Oakley for repair. I happened upon them this week and remembered the great little repair shop on Greenwood that I've taken my husband's glasses over years. I was a walk-in and within seconds, she had me out the door. I thought there would be hardware involved, but she was an experienced pro at knowing how to 'twist and snap' my earpiece back in place - no charge! I'm kicking myself for just buying a $250 pair of Maui's! Just started my vacation in Sunriver when my glasses broke! I found A to Z & called before hours & started to leave a message when someone picked up! They comforted me and explained that either they could repair them or perhaps fit the lenses into a new frame. When I arrived, they greeted me with enthusiasm to help. While repair wasn't possible, they said if I was patient enough they would search the whole store to see if there was a compatible frame that my lenses could be placed into.They worked tirelessly but amazingly quick!! Phenomenal business! Chiana is professional and well versed in the eyeglass repair world. Took a few pair in for an adjustment and also had a pair that the arm broke off completely that I was hoping could be repaired. They took very little time to make the adjustments while I waited. I was asked to leave the broken pair for repair and they would have them ready for pick up later in the day within a two hour time frame. I was also given a quote for the cost of the repair before I left so that there were no surprises. In a little over an hour I received a call informing me that the glasses were fixed and the temples (arms) were replaced. When I returned the glasses were ready as promised and looked brand new! The cost was moderate and I was very pleased. The honesty and integrity with this business is stellar! As noted previously I was very unhappy with the attitude I received in stead of customer service. I was told my insurance was taken care of and the owner mailed reimbursement request to ins. company. Well that did not happen, I finally called Providence and they had received nothing....Im not sure why there is such incompetence but definitely do not take a NEW prescription there. She only seems able to fix glasses and dose not have the sense to say no to things she is not able to do. Just talked to ins, they are taking care of it. What a disappointment. read more

I am visiting Bend from California and an arm fell off of my daily-wear eyeglasses. And it wasn't a matter of losing a screw, the entire hinge broke off. Fortunately, I had my prescription sunglasses so I was able to drive. I called ahead and the owner answered and told me to come on in. I brought my glasses in around noon. The owner (I am ashamed I didn't get her name, she was so awesome!) took a look and said I needed new temples. I had no idea what temples were and she told me it was the arms. Even though she had several jobs in front of me and was having problems with her machine, she was able to find replacement temples and repair my glasses before 4pm. When I got there to pick my glasses up, the shop was full. But it was okay because the staff is so easy going it made the customers (and me!) relaxed and happy to wait. They fitted me in my repaired glasses and even adjusted my sunglasses for me before I left. And the pricing was VERY reasonable. Needless to say, I was EXTREMELY satisfied with the service I received. The lovely owner did not even know what Yelp was, but I wanted to leave a great review for her anyway. I went in because I had accidentally broke my friends glasses. The lady who I assume was the owner was fairly rude to me the entire time. First she was rude about where I broke the glasses, then rude about what type of glasses they were and then as I'm walking out she tells me that no one can fix those glasses.
