Oakley glasses are the only brand I have found that stay put on my face. I've worn their sunglasses for years. My eyes are VERY sensitive on bright sunny days and the wrap around style works great for me. When I started to need Rx glasses I went to the "in network" provider listed by EyeMed as an Oakley dealer. When I got there and asked for what I wanted, I was told they didn't make the sport style Oakleys in Rx. Not only that, but the store manager told me they only made a "clip-on" that goes behind the glasses!!! OMG. They don't know anything about the Oakley brand! For the record: Oakley makes many of their sport style sunglasses available in Prescription. They have to insert a separate lens into the shield due to the high angle of the curve. (I've attached a pic of mine) Both pairs I got from Sports Vision work perfectly and the Rx is spot on. Luckily for me, I did some searching on the internet and found out how wrong they were! The hard part is finding someone who can get them for you... Then I found Sports Vision Bend and was saved! Not only do they sell the Oakley line but they have a much wider selection than any other vendor I've been able to find. So far I have had them get for me in Oakley Rx ; clear M-Frames for indoor shooting, Clear Boomstand for night driving, clear Conductor for work / computer screen and RadarLock sunglasses in polarized black iridium!! I know that some people might be put off by the insert style of the wrap lens glasses but personally I don't give a hang about what people think. I want what works. And for me, at AT&T park in San Francisco on a bright Saturday afternoon watching my Giants, I need that wrap around style in prescription so I can see all the action on the field clearly. My experience with Sports Vision Bend customer service has been nothing less than stellar! Sports Vision Bend has some of the best customer service I've encountered with online purchasing. They respond to your questions quickly, get your order in same-day and it only takes about 10 days to get your glasses back from Oakley. Plus you get the hard case from Oakley and a nice microfiber cloth from Sports Vision as a bonus! If YOU are searching the internet for Oakley Prescription glasses or sunglasses, I highly recommend Sports Vision Bend.

Phenomenal Zeiss sunglass lenses in a Maui Jim frame! The most comfortable frames, and the best vision (superior peripheral). Worth the cost

The options and staff knowledge are second to none. Hands-down the best spot I've seen in Oregon and probably the West Coast.

I would save up my money for preowned movies, and video games. And it was always such a treat. Getting to see something new. I was definitely sad on blockbuster filed for bankruptcy and started closing locations. But I'm really glad there's one left on the planet. The location was easy to find, and there was a good but small parking lot. The staff was very pleasant to work with. I am sure they get tons of questions about how blockbuster is doing, how the store is holding up, etc. There was so much blockbuster type of merchandise, apparel, and gifts that it felt like it was its own souvenir store in addition to still offering movie rentals. Seeing the display of a late 80s early 90s living room, complete with couch, movie on VHS, Pokémon cards on the table, VHS covers, etc. really warmed my heart. I felt like it was a nine-year-old watching Dragon Ball Z in front of the Family TV again. There were plenty of displays for movie props, autographs, news covers about the store being the last on the planet. It was like a time capsule to cinema, life in the 80s and 90s, and today. Walking the aisles, definitely felt like I was back in blockbuster. For a moment, I felt like I was a kid again, looking for the perfect movie. Really glad this was here and that I got to go to Blockbuster in my adult life. Thanks for the memories!

The friendly lady I was chatting with was telling me that yes, they get people stopping in from *EVERYWHERE.*. They have it all. Blu-rays, and DVDs for sale, and of course, they have them for rent. The rental prices are very reasonable. New releases suspense, Comedy, drama, you name it, they probably have it. They even have sections dedicated toward certain stars, when I was there, they had a "John Candy section." The blockbuster.com webpage is back online, and I was asking the lady if she knew if Blockbuster was going to be making a comeback. She said she didn't know, but she made a good point. They should. Now, if you want to see a movie, there's no guarantee that the streaming service you subscribe to will have that movie. How many streaming services would you have to subscribe to? It would be so easy just to pop in and rent your movie again. You know what they say, everything old is new again. And of course, they have hoodies, sweatshirts, and T-shirts, including one that has the classic phrase, "be kind, rewind." What a fun store.

My experience with Riverbend Eye Care has been for optical services. Both for purchasing eyeglass…read moreframes and having eyeglasses made last year and prescription lens sunglasses this week. Had I posted a review based solely on last year's experience it would have been "AOK". But this year it's a big four star "yay!". Here's the summary of my experience and number 6 in the following list is why the rating moved up! 1. Convenient location with ample parking in a private lot. 2. Extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff. 3. Bright and welcoming office and optical display space. (Although small and so a tad cramped when you're trying to look at frames.) 4. Good selection of frames for men and women with mid range to upper range brand options including Helium, ProDesign, Vera Wang, Coach, Nicole Miller, Mykita plus many more. None of these are inexpensive brands but the prices here are fair and competitive for what they are. I was delighted by the price of the Nicole Miller sun-glass frames I chose, which were nearly $50 less than I expected! 5. They offered to deduct 10% off the total cost of my glasses, without me asking, given I do not bill insurance for them. 6. .A big improvement in optician staff service this year over last. This last point deserves explanation. The optician last year seemed competent but over stretched and always "on the run" frantically busy. Were it not for one of the uber helpful front desk staff who stepped in (and I think is now an optical staff technician) to help with selection and follow up, I probably would have walked out with the sale to Riverbend lost both that time and for return business. But, the glasses were well made. Which is one of the things that led me back in this year when I was looking for sunglasses. The other being "hip" but affordable style options. I found that this year, there are two new folks as optical staff at Riverbend. Knowledgeable about product inventory, skilled to help select the best frame for a customer's face and budget as well as in lens technology options. And perhaps most important, skilled at getting the right fit of the glasses for great vision. I could happily recommend Riverbend for glasses just for the experience of working with the opticians these days. I am happy to say there are other things - see list above - to add to the "I'm a fan" experience to recommend Riverbend for optical needs. My hubby will need new glasses soon and based on my experience, Riverbend will be his new "go to" place.

Luckily, we managed to do a walk-up appointment and get our tubes for floating. They do offer online reservations, more than 24 hours in advance, but they had plenty of inner tubes so a reservation was not needed that particular day. From start to finish, they made the entire process extremely easy and seamless. From being able to park your car and get a ride with your inner tube to the drop off point and then being picked back up by the shuttle and returned to the parking lot, and everything in between. They provided us with a good safety briefing as well as the opportunity to leave our car keys since I had not thought about bringing a waterproof pouch. For just about $30 per person, it was well worth the experience and took us about two hours, but we did stop after the rapids and spend some time just swimming before continuing on. If you are a local or just visiting the Bend area, I cannot recommend floating the river enough.

You can tell they absolutely love what they do and take real pride in it. They actually look happy to show up to work, which in 2025 feels rarer than a parking spot at Costco on a Saturday. You never feel like a number here; everyone is genuinely kind and all smiles. Insurance has always been super transparent, which I appreciate -- though, to be fair, I always bring it up immediately because I am who I am and I need to know exactly what's getting billed where. Now, despite their incredible appointment reminder system, I still managed to forget my appointment this morning. In my defense, I've been hauling my kid here weekly while she tests out different contacts for her uniquely dramatic astigmatism, so I assumed all the reminders were for her. Plot twist: they were not. They called me ten minutes after I was supposed to be there, and somehow I sweet-talked my way into being seen if I could get there in 10 minutes -- which was nothing short of a miracle given they're often booked out 4-5 months for routine exams. Would 100% recommend. Just... maybe don't ignore the reminders.
