The carpet was fine to begin with and just needed a refresh (we just purchased the home). It is now horribly stained and we are shopping for new carpet. He sent somebody out one time to try to fix it and it was beyond repair. Since then he has repeatedly ignored us and has refused to take responsibility or address the situation. Again, stay away from this company unless you want your carpet ruined. Worst money we ever spent.

This gentleman quoted me a price of $1000 stating that both cables need to be replaced and the springs and the door needed to be completely removed. I told him to leave. I googled best garage repair and spoke with Overhead Door Company. I was given a quote (tentatively) over the phone so I knew what to expect financially. When Steve with Overhead Door arrived, I explained to him what happened earlier this morning with the other company, he told me that only the one broken cable needed to be replaced. There was no need to replace the other cable or the Springs, but he would lube the Springs, tighten the cables to ensure that the door would go up and down smoothly. There was no need to remove the entire door. Excellent service! Highly recommend Overhead door Company.I feel that they were fair, honest, reputable, and a good value for the money. I was concerned because the lining on one set was hanging lower then the drapes but Somers did such a good job in cleaning that the lining was back in place. We had not cleaned the drapes since we had them installed six years ago and didn't notice that as time went by; the drapes hung much lower then when installed! They're perfect now and the pleats are in line perfectly. We also had some blinds cleaned through their cleaning process and they look brand new. Brian and Carl were friendly, efficient, and were quick when working.

I got a mailer with a deal for the annual summer checkup. I called and asked if they would come out…read moreto a small rental condo I have in Sarasota. The technician arrived, and I mentioned that the bedroom is always a few degrees warmer than the rest of the condo. He went outside, came back in a few minutes and told me that there must be a blockage in the ducting, and I needed a whole new unit, which would be 10-12K. I was astonished, because I own a number of properties, and it has never cost anywhere near that for an 800 sq ft. condo! I said I didn't want to spend that kind of money right now, and I'd jst purchase a home warranty on the property, which I had planned to do anyway. That way when the AC stopped working they would repair or replace it. He stepped outside, then came in and said his boss wanted to talk to me. The "boss" got on the phone and told me very severely that my unit needed replacing. I told him "No thank you. I don't wish to spend this amount at this time." He then said, "My technician told me that you are planning to buy a home warranty. That is insurance fraud, which I don't suggest doing in the state of Florida. EXCUSE ME?????? I told him that since the unit is functioning - if I purchase a home warranty there is no fraud taking place. This unit could run another year, 2 years, 10 years! It is not acting any differently than when I purchased the unit and had a home inspector check it out! His response was, " NO! It is broken and you need to get a new unit NOW!" When a company puts on the full court press like this, it is definitely a scam. They feel that if they scare a woman into believing them, we will buy what they are selling. I'm sure they looked up the ownership, saw it was in my name and figured they'd take advantage of a widow or single woman. I would avoid this company AT ALL COSTS!
