I am a loyal customer! When I moved here 10 or so years ago.... Of course - the first mission was to find a good hair dresser! Peggy is the best.... And she asks what you want before she starts. I'm old school and many will not listen to what you want but just do as they think your hair should be.... Not the place for a pedicure, if that's what you're looking for. The lady was very nice, and competent, but unfortunately I just don't think a bucket of warm water - not a true pedicure chair - is worth what she charges. It should be half the price... But even then I probably still wouldn't return. It wasn't relaxing in the least, and that is one of the main reasons why I choose to get pedicures. read more

The first time I went into A Wild Hair was because the stylist I usually went to moved out of the area and I have been going to Peggy ever since, which has been several years now. She always cuts my hair the way I ask and always asks questions if the style is different from what I usually ask her to do, and she's also very good about asking questions to clarify if what I'm describing is different from the picture I have in order to make certain that she knows what I want. Peggy is honest when asked her opinion and gives excellent advice on cut and color, but will do what I ask regardless of whether I take her advice or not. All of the above is difficult to find in a hair stylist, at least it has been in my experience, and you can add friendly and fun to talk to into the bargain. Peggy at A Wild Hair is pretty much the best I've found anywhere at any point in time and I'm grateful that she's out here in Grays Harbor County! A Wild Hair sometimes takes walk-ins for cut/style, but that is very rare, so I would highly recommend calling and making an appointment well in advance of any special occasions. Otherwise, you're fairly likely to be able to get an appointment within a few days to a week. read more

This was a few years ago but, I had scheduled a hair dye ^.^ I really appreciate the time one of the ladies had put into dying my hair. My hair it called for a double bleaching because I was dying the front of my hair and wanted it to be a bright pink and my hair is almost black. I felt bad she had to stay after closing because my hair wasn't done in time ._." But I really enjoyed the experience ^.^ I did go in a second time to donate my hair to Lock of Love one of the girls cut and styled my hair magnificently ^.^ had the self confidence to hold my head high that summer ^.^ I do plan on going back some day the next time I decide to do something with my hair ^.^ read more

I have to say that everyone at the salon the day I went was very nice. That being said, that is the only positive experience I had. I have been growing my hair out for years. I recently relocated to the area and wanted to establish services and support the local economy. I brought in the picture I have used for years. I wear my hair in a shoulder length bob without layers. My hair is thin and does not do layers. I met with Peggy who looked at the picture and we agreed on the shoulder length cut. We talked about the cut for about ten minutes. Then the minute the first cut was made, I stated it was short. I figured it would grow out. However, the stylist continued to cut and layer. I went from almost chest length hair with bangs, to a very layered, mid cheek length 1930s style bob. I paid and left. I was so upset I could barely function. My friends described the bob as a cut that looks like a cut growing out. I had to go to another salon to get it fixed. I am actually considering hair extensions because I don't think my hair will grow fast at all. I was very upset. read more
