We had an outstanding experience with A2Z Builders and our project manager, Noam Bar-On. They transformed the unfinished portion of our basement -- which previously had bare concrete floors, an awkward HVAC unit hanging in the middle of the ceiling (that I constantly bumped my head on), and a poorly defined utility area -- into a thoughtfully designed, highly functional space. What was once an uncomfortable, underutilized area is now a beautiful basement with a dedicated office, a workout space, and a much better-sized, well-organized utility room. In addition, they replaced all of our carpet with hardwood floors throughout the main level, and the results are amazing. The craftsmanship and finish quality exceeded our expectations -- the house feels completely elevated and refreshed. Noam was exceptional throughout the entire process. He worked closely with me on the overall design, offered smart and practical solutions, and truly understood what we were trying to accomplish. He came by daily to make sure every detail was executed correctly and was always attentive, responsive, and proactive. His hands-on approach gave us a lot of confidence that the project would turn out right -- and it absolutely did. I can't say enough good things about Noam and the A2Z team. I contacted A2Z for a pretty big garage repair and I am so glad I went with this company. They got me a detailed quote pretty quickly and were well within the range that other companies I talked to estimated the cost would be. They were patient with me while I worked with the insurance company and even let me know that they have a department in-house that will handle that part for you. When everything was set on my end they went to work right away and did an amazing job. There was a delay getting a window delivered but they kept me in the loop and answered all my check-ins and they got the window installed as soon as it arrived. Everyone I talked to was so kind, I've never experienced such quality service in the construction field. I look forward to working with them again in the future. read more

Barak helped us complete our unfinished basement into a bedroom and new bathroom. We unfortunately dealt with a fraudulent contractor before working with A2Z but they helped us complete the project quickly and within our budget. Their communication was great, every worker that came to our house was respectful and did great work. This project was long and stressful. We signed the contract in March 2025. We had a discussion about the expectations about our back yard porch which introduced a change. Then we decided to get a digital rendering of the porch which came out great, but came with a price of over $1k in addition to the initial Estimate which was over 40k. Some time went by and we heard very minimal about the project between March and August. I decided to do a review on yelp to motivate the company to do something with our project. I received a phone call from the PM about how this affects their business. I agreed that I would remove that review and add a review at the end. Our understanding was that there would be quality control and communication weekly along the way however; this was not the case. There were days where the painter and foundation person came when they said they would and other times they didn't. A couple of times I would go out and look and tell the construction worker that the quality was not acceptable. This occurred on more than one occasion. I called the PM to tell him that this was the problem. It got fixed and we ended up with a beautiful porch in Mid November with a total of $45k spent. If you have the time and money to spend to guide this project the exact way that you want then yes, otherwise; I would recommend a different company. read more

Miserable experience, poor communication, 35% over the original quote As soon as we signed the contract, everything went south. In summary: 1. The GC was not forthcoming and told us what we wanted to hear, not what needed to happen. As a result we were left feeling very stressed about trying to stay ahead of the work so that something that we did not ask for was done. 2. Communication throughout the project was a battle. Our GC and other subcontractors would show up unannounced. When we asked if he could give us a 10-minute heads up before he or anyone else showed up and this was an unreasonable request. 3. Our GC from A2Z clearly did not have a good relationship with many of the subcontractors. His communication was so poor that one day we came home, and our house was unlivable (no carpets, dust all over everything, and our possessions were moved without our consent). To top it all off, one of our pets was injured due to his negligence, and we had to take her to the emergency vet. 4. When we wanted to make changes, our GC was never able to provide details on the scope of the change. He would copy and paste from another project; nothing was tailored to us. It was clear he was either lazy, did not care, or did not know how to do his job. If we asked to speak with someone else at A2Z it was nearly impossible. 5. Prior to the contract being signed, we were promised 2 GCs would be working on the project. As soon as the contract was signed, we never saw or heard from the second GC again. 6. Payment requests were made based on when a portion of the project was predicted to be completed. When A2Z did not meet the deadline, we were expected to still make the payment based on the original date and were sent daily late notices. 7. We paid 35% more than what was originally quoted. 8. Our GC was like a used car salesman. It was also very clear that he did not have much knowledge about managing a large project such as finishing a basement. When we had questions, he would dodge them and if we said we still didn't understand he got angry and often raised his voice at us. If it was possible I would give A2Z 0 stars. read more

Finding a solid contractor is always a challenge and doubly so when you are new in a city. Satchel and A2Z simply did an excellent job. Our project required both city and landmark permitting which Satchel and A2Z managed at every step. We simply couldn't have succeeded in this project without Satchel's day to day management and oversight of the project while we resided out of state. My only regret is we didn't put even more projects on their plate. We will definitely work with Satchel again in the future. read more

The company contacted me and let me know that there had been some miscommunication on their end, which resulted in mistakenly not getting back to me. It was an understandable accident, and not their customary practice. They worked with me to refine the bid to more closely match my expectations. I did not end up working with them but I felt very good about the way they responded to my concerns. Barak Assis, in particular, really went out of his way to make sure that my needs were addressed, including making several phone calls about the project, and referring me to an electrician. Even though he had nothing to do with the earlier miscommunication, he went above and beyond to make sure that it was properly addressed. Idan and Brian were the PM's on my remodel. It was extensive, essentially putting the house back together from the studs. Idan and Brian were incredibly responsive and managed to get the whole project done in about 3 months, including applying for the permit in Boulder County. The work they did was of the highest quality and they came back promptly after the project was finished to fix little things that were overlooked or out of place. I asked for an estimate on a small trex deck at about ground level. There is some concrete work needed, but the estimate came out to over $207 a square foot. If you don't want the work, just say the job is too small. To put this into $ terms, it's a 275 sq ft deck for over $57k. I actually wondered if they put the decimal place incorrectly until I did the math. The other quotes I received were for half or less than half as much. read more

Awesome experience with A2Z and Jim especially. They removed a old, dark and metal patio cover that collapsed during a storm. Removed the old cracked cement, poured a new beautiful patio and added a wood cover/pergola with clear panels. The bonus was the hot pink port-o-potty and dumpster during the process that gave the construction a fun twist. House is brighter, the patio is safer and there's more room to enjoy. Highly recommend A2Z Builders Our home in Louisville was affected by the fires. We needed new flooring, paint and a remodel of kitchen and Master Bathroom. A2Z came highly recommended through various review sites. After meeting Yuval and listening to his ideas and enthusiasm, we signed. The biggest problem we faced was getting building permits issued since local government is swamped with all the rebuilding. Once the permits were finally issued, Yuval's team got to work immediately. Our new kitchen looks amazing, as does our new master bathroom. They even put in a wall for us as well as all the new laminate flooring, painting, tile and required plumbing and electrical, interior doors and a new front door. The people that came out were all very friendly and hard-working. Yuval and his project manager Barr were available on the Whatsapp group chat and responded quickly to any questions. They checked in with us about each part of the process to let us know who was coming and what they were doing that day or week. They consistently checked in with us to see how we liked the changes, if we had any questions or concerns. We recently completed a bathroom remodel to our primary bathroom. A2Z was the main contractor and did a great job. From the outset, they were friendly, professional, they planned well, and kept us informed. They even set up a communication group on WhatsApp so we could all text one another whenever. Wisely, they waited for all the supplies to arrive before they began work. There were some supply chain problems but it wasn't A2Z's fault. Yuval and Eli (management) came over frequently to inspect what had been done and plan out the next phase. They provided subcontractors who were pleasant and did great work. The final product looks great. They really made an effort to make sure we were happy with the work and tried to make sure we were all on the same page before beginning the next step. Remodeling is a pain but A2Z did everything in their power to make it as pleasant as possible. read more

I talked to a number of contractors, but Brian, our GC from A2Z, immediately secured my confidence as someone who knew what they were doing with insightful questions and helpful ideas about how to optimize the space. Staff is helpful and communication is quick and absolutely top-notch. They create a WhatsApp group for the project so you, the GC, and any relevant staff are always seamlessly connected. Every project has unforeseen speed bumps, but I was impressed by Brian's ability to keep the project moving forward, without sacrificing quality. When we started our renovation, we received a few quotes and decided on a GC to move forward with. Fast forward about a year later and we had to fire the GC; we lost confidence in their ability to do the work due to lack of communication and a scattered process and approach. Not at all what we thought we were signing up with. We went back to square one and found A2Z. They provided everything we were hoping in a major renovation. They know what they're doing, they communicate clearly and frequently, they provide a transparent process and kept us informed along the way. Their in house crew meant that they were confident in the work that was going to be done, and if the PM or I wasn't fully satisfied with anything along the way, it was very easy to get the crew back to make any corrections. Unfortunately due to a sad situation, I was a victim to contractor fraud. After not knowing who to trust, I took a chance on A2Z Builders and I am so I did. Yuval was assigned as my project manager and did an excellent job. He was in commutation everyday, they started the first phase of my project within weeks, (the new office) I was able to pay as the work got done which alleviated any concern with money fraud. There wasn't any pressure on adding anything more to my project. I was able to pick and choose what I could afford to do on that phase and going forth in each phase thereafter of the project. We knew each week what was to take place and when. * They showed up. We worked with Tom Siso on a total kitchen renovation and removal of a load-bearing wall between our living and family rooms. Tom is one of the best project managers we have ever worked with (and we have worked with many). He communicated regularly and always responded immediately to our questions and concerns. Our project was tough for a number of reasons including unforeseen utilities in some walls, terrible weather, and working through Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Despite bumps in the road, the project stayed on schedule and we got a beautiful remodel. We had a couple of subs that were not the best so we were so glad to have Tom there to find replacements and to handle issues. We are happy with our "new" home. read more

Great response and came out right away. However I had sent over what I needed, along with photos and a mockup blueprint in our messages prior to contact. Upon arrival of their manager, I was informed that they don't take on projects less than $15k. Had they just looked at the information I had sent prior to receiving a quote, they would have known this before coming out here and saving both of our time. The manager was extremely nice and explained everything they would be doing. However, the price point of almost $7,500 for the construction of two walls (8x10/8x12) is just way out of budget for me. read more

My appointment was to be at 10 am. They moved it to 4pm. No big deal. Solomon came out, told me I need to contact another contractor for an insurance claim then asked me if I wanted him to proceed. You see my water line to the refrigerator burst and flooded down to the basement. He then proceeded to measure my basement. According to the county it's 1054 sq ft. Solomon used his tape measure and told me it was only 600 square feet after he measured it twice. I politely asked him to leave saying I did not have confidence in his ability to provide an estimate. read more

I recommend A2Z for anyone who needs a contractor. This company is so great on so many levels. They just completed my kitchen, bathroom, and basement reno and they were great in every step of the process.  We have wanted to renovate for a while now, but was always busy with work and the kids and trying to have a sort of social life. My partner and I always pushed it off because of our schedules and because we were just being lazy. Luckily we thought it over during quarantine and decided to do it.  The hiring process was not as stressful as we thought it was going to be. We made a bunch of calls and did I think somewhere around 6 consultations. A2Z was one of the 6. We both really liked what they had to offer and were very professional. The company, after the consultation, gave us a quote and gave us an outline of the timeline. After choosing them, we started right away. The company was super considerate with complying with our work schedules and during the renovation did not mind our crazy kids.  Before the renovation, our basement was unfinished, and our kitchen and bathrooms were outdated and beginning not to work. Now the basement is finished, and we added a bed and bath down there for the in-laws. Our kitchen and bathrooms are really functional and nice. It's all the style that we like, which I am so glad they were able to do. The company was really great and we recommended to a couple friends. read more

Very snobby and only interested if you are willing to spend $$$. I spoke to Desiree on the phone and she scheduled someone to come out to my house to look at what needed work. She sent me a Google invite and in the memo put "Will spend at least $20K" -- how unprofessional. 30 minutes before the contractor was about to show up, he texted to see how much I was willing to spend and then literally cancelled 20 minutes later when my number was below his. I would highly recommend A2Z Builders to finish your basement. Overall, they were really communicative with us and easy to work with. They plan the work carefully with you, giving you valuable suggestions during the planning process. They also have a great payment plan - payments are spaced out over the course of work.
