We had an outstanding experience with A2Z Builders and our project manager, Noam Bar-On. They transformed the unfinished portion of our basement -- which previously had bare concrete floors, an awkward HVAC unit hanging in the middle of the ceiling (that I constantly bumped my head on), and a poorly defined utility area -- into a thoughtfully designed, highly functional space. What was once an uncomfortable, underutilized area is now a beautiful basement with a dedicated office, a workout space, and a much better-sized, well-organized utility room. In addition, they replaced all of our carpet with hardwood floors throughout the main level, and the results are amazing. The craftsmanship and finish quality exceeded our expectations -- the house feels completely elevated and refreshed. Noam was exceptional throughout the entire process. He worked closely with me on the overall design, offered smart and practical solutions, and truly understood what we were trying to accomplish. He came by daily to make sure every detail was executed correctly and was always attentive, responsive, and proactive. His hands-on approach gave us a lot of confidence that the project would turn out right -- and it absolutely did. I can't say enough good things about Noam and the A2Z team. Barak helped us complete our unfinished basement into a bedroom and new bathroom. We unfortunately dealt with a fraudulent contractor before working with A2Z but they helped us complete the project quickly and within our budget. Their communication was great, every worker that came to our house was respectful and did great work. This project was long and stressful. We signed the contract in March 2025. We had a discussion about the expectations about our back yard porch which introduced a change. Then we decided to get a digital rendering of the porch which came out great, but came with a price of over $1k in addition to the initial Estimate which was over 40k. Some time went by and we heard very minimal about the project between March and August. I decided to do a review on yelp to motivate the company to do something with our project. I received a phone call from the PM about how this affects their business. I agreed that I would remove that review and add a review at the end. Our understanding was that there would be quality control and communication weekly along the way however; this was not the case. There were days where the painter and foundation person came when they said they would and other times they didn't. A couple of times I would go out and look and tell the construction worker that the quality was not acceptable. This occurred on more than one occasion. I called the PM to tell him that this was the problem. It got fixed and we ended up with a beautiful porch in Mid November with a total of $45k spent. If you have the time and money to spend to guide this project the exact way that you want then yes, otherwise; I would recommend a different company. read more

Miserable experience, poor communication, 35% over the original quote As soon as we signed the contract, everything went south. In summary: 1. The GC was not forthcoming and told us what we wanted to hear, not what needed to happen. As a result we were left feeling very stressed about trying to stay ahead of the work so that something that we did not ask for was done. 2. Communication throughout the project was a battle. Our GC and other subcontractors would show up unannounced. When we asked if he could give us a 10-minute heads up before he or anyone else showed up and this was an unreasonable request. 3. Our GC from A2Z clearly did not have a good relationship with many of the subcontractors. His communication was so poor that one day we came home, and our house was unlivable (no carpets, dust all over everything, and our possessions were moved without our consent). To top it all off, one of our pets was injured due to his negligence, and we had to take her to the emergency vet. 4. When we wanted to make changes, our GC was never able to provide details on the scope of the change. He would copy and paste from another project; nothing was tailored to us. It was clear he was either lazy, did not care, or did not know how to do his job. If we asked to speak with someone else at A2Z it was nearly impossible. 5. Prior to the contract being signed, we were promised 2 GCs would be working on the project. As soon as the contract was signed, we never saw or heard from the second GC again. 6. Payment requests were made based on when a portion of the project was predicted to be completed. When A2Z did not meet the deadline, we were expected to still make the payment based on the original date and were sent daily late notices. 7. We paid 35% more than what was originally quoted. 8. Our GC was like a used car salesman. It was also very clear that he did not have much knowledge about managing a large project such as finishing a basement. When we had questions, he would dodge them and if we said we still didn't understand he got angry and often raised his voice at us. If it was possible I would give A2Z 0 stars. read more

Finding a solid contractor is always a challenge and doubly so when you are new in a city. Satchel and A2Z simply did an excellent job. Our project required both city and landmark permitting which Satchel and A2Z managed at every step. We simply couldn't have succeeded in this project without Satchel's day to day management and oversight of the project while we resided out of state. My only regret is we didn't put even more projects on their plate. We will definitely work with Satchel again in the future. read more

The company contacted me and let me know that there had been some miscommunication on their end, which resulted in mistakenly not getting back to me. It was an understandable accident, and not their customary practice. They worked with me to refine the bid to more closely match my expectations. I did not end up working with them but I felt very good about the way they responded to my concerns. Barak Assis, in particular, really went out of his way to make sure that my needs were addressed, including making several phone calls about the project, and referring me to an electrician. Even though he had nothing to do with the earlier miscommunication, he went above and beyond to make sure that it was properly addressed. Idan and Brian were the PM's on my remodel. It was extensive, essentially putting the house back together from the studs. Idan and Brian were incredibly responsive and managed to get the whole project done in about 3 months, including applying for the permit in Boulder County. The work they did was of the highest quality and they came back promptly after the project was finished to fix little things that were overlooked or out of place. Awesome experience with A2Z and Jim especially. They removed a old, dark and metal patio cover that collapsed during a storm. Removed the old cracked cement, poured a new beautiful patio and added a wood cover/pergola with clear panels. The bonus was the hot pink port-o-potty and dumpster during the process that gave the construction a fun twist. House is brighter, the patio is safer and there's more room to enjoy. I talked to a number of contractors, but Brian, our GC from A2Z, immediately secured my confidence as someone who knew what they were doing with insightful questions and helpful ideas about how to optimize the space. Staff is helpful and communication is quick and absolutely top-notch. They create a WhatsApp group for the project so you, the GC, and any relevant staff are always seamlessly connected. Every project has unforeseen speed bumps, but I was impressed by Brian's ability to keep the project moving forward, without sacrificing quality. When we started our renovation, we received a few quotes and decided on a GC to move forward with. Fast forward about a year later and we had to fire the GC; we lost confidence in their ability to do the work due to lack of communication and a scattered process and approach. Not at all what we thought we were signing up with. We went back to square one and found A2Z. They provided everything we were hoping in a major renovation. They know what they're doing, they communicate clearly and frequently, they provide a transparent process and kept us informed along the way. Their in house crew meant that they were confident in the work that was going to be done, and if the PM or I wasn't fully satisfied with anything along the way, it was very easy to get the crew back to make any corrections. I asked for an estimate on a small trex deck at about ground level. There is some concrete work needed, but the estimate came out to over $207 a square foot. If you don't want the work, just say the job is too small. To put this into $ terms, it's a 275 sq ft deck for over $57k. I actually wondered if they put the decimal place incorrectly until I did the math. The other quotes I received were for half or less than half as much. read more

We recently completed a bathroom remodel to our primary bathroom. A2Z was the main contractor and did a great job. From the outset, they were friendly, professional, they planned well, and kept us informed. They even set up a communication group on WhatsApp so we could all text one another whenever. Wisely, they waited for all the supplies to arrive before they began work. There were some supply chain problems but it wasn't A2Z's fault. Yuval and Eli (management) came over frequently to inspect what had been done and plan out the next phase. They provided subcontractors who were pleasant and did great work. The final product looks great. They really made an effort to make sure we were happy with the work and tried to make sure we were all on the same page before beginning the next step. Unfortunately due to a sad situation, I was a victim to contractor fraud. After not knowing who to trust, I took a chance on A2Z Builders and I am so I did. Yuval was assigned as my project manager and did an excellent job. He was in commutation everyday, they started the first phase of my project within weeks, (the new office) I was able to pay as the work got done which alleviated any concern with money fraud. There wasn't any pressure on adding anything more to my project. I was able to pick and choose what I could afford to do on that phase and going forth in each phase thereafter of the project. Our project consisted of: * Kitchen remodel and appliances * Two (2) bathrooms remodeled with vanities, fixtures, flooring and paint * Hardwood flooring installed in lower level of house, 4 rooms and stairway to landing and upper levels, including baseboard installation * Fireplace modification and cabinet installation in family room * Painting/Drywall repair in lower level of house * Removal and finish of pony walls living room Our experience with A2Z Builders: * What stood out most was the absence of the typical "Us" versus "Them" dynamic often encountered with contractors. It was a collaborative atmosphere where our Project Manager, Tom shared and understood our vision for the project. Our kitchen designer Michelle also understood the vision and facilitated the kitchen remodel. * Communication with Tom was excellent. We knew each week what was to take place and when. * They showed up. Work was always done as planned and on time. * A few unexpected issues arose, but Tom's solution was always the best solution in resolving the issues. Tom was always concerned with details. * After 30-50 % of the project was complete we had developed a trust with Tom and A2Z Builders. At that point we did not have to question what we were told. * At no point did we feel A2Z was cutting corners to expedite the project or cut costs. * We utilized several of their partners and were pleased with the materials and costs. We worked with Tom Siso on a total kitchen renovation and removal of a load-bearing wall between our living and family rooms. Tom is one of the best project managers we have ever worked with (and we have worked with many). He communicated regularly and always responded immediately to our questions and concerns. Our project was tough for a number of reasons including unforeseen utilities in some walls, terrible weather, and working through Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Despite bumps in the road, the project stayed on schedule and we got a beautiful remodel. We had a couple of subs that were not the best so we were so glad to have Tom there to find replacements and to handle issues. We are happy with our "new" home. read more

Upon arrival of their manager, I was informed that they don't take on projects less than $15k. Had they just looked at the information I had sent prior to receiving a quote, they would have known this before coming out here and saving both of our time. My appointment was to be at 10 am. They moved it to 4pm. No big deal. Solomon came out, told me I need to contact another contractor for an insurance claim then asked me if I wanted him to proceed. You see my water line to the refrigerator burst and flooded down to the basement. He then proceeded to measure my basement. According to the county it's 1054 sq ft. Solomon used his tape measure and told me it was only 600 square feet after he measured it twice. I politely asked him to leave saying I did not have confidence in his ability to provide an estimate. read more

She sent me a Google invite and in the memo put "Will spend at least $20K" -- how unprofessional. 30 minutes before the contractor was about to show up, he texted to see how much I was willing to spend and then literally cancelled 20 minutes later when my number was below his. I recommend A2Z for anyone who needs a contractor. This company is so great on so many levels. They just completed my kitchen, bathroom, and basement reno and they were great in every step of the process.  We have wanted to renovate for a while now, but was always busy with work and the kids and trying to have a sort of social life. My partner and I always pushed it off because of our schedules and because we were just being lazy. Luckily we thought it over during quarantine and decided to do it.  The hiring process was not as stressful as we thought it was going to be. We made a bunch of calls and did I think somewhere around 6 consultations. A2Z was one of the 6. We both really liked what they had to offer and were very professional. The company, after the consultation, gave us a quote and gave us an outline of the timeline. After choosing them, we started right away. The company was super considerate with complying with our work schedules and during the renovation did not mind our crazy kids.  Before the renovation, our basement was unfinished, and our kitchen and bathrooms were outdated and beginning not to work. Now the basement is finished, and we added a bed and bath down there for the in-laws. Our kitchen and bathrooms are really functional and nice.
