I walked into the store and stood behind two men who were in conversation with the clerk. I heard one man say "Come on. Just certify the ticket and we'll split the money." Before the clerk could reply, the second man turned and saw me - they quickly exited the store. I asked the clerk about the pump not registering credit cards. She said all the pumps' card readers were down . . . again. I said I needed to fill my tank and offered to leave my car keys or a cash deposit. She said "No. You've got to leave your credit card." After just witnessing the attempt to cash in a bogus lottery ticket at this store, I wasn't about to leave my credit card for 5 or 10 minutes while I filled up my gas tank. I declined to leave my card and said I'd go to the other BFS out on Bowers Lane. The clerk said "Bye!" and waved me out the door with a single-finger salute. I have not purchased gas from any BFS station since that incident.

I first came here a few years ago and really liked the canned cocktails and peach pie moonshine. Everywhere has apple pie moonshine (this place does, too), but not everywhere has peach pie! It makes a great cocktail with some lemonade and lemon juice to take down the sweetness. My most recent visit was this past weekend. I went into the store with the intention on just grabbing a bottle of moonshine and I ended up trying a pickleback sample (whiskey and pickle moonshine), buying more than I planned and getting to chat with the owner for a while. My mom got a bottle of their blueberry infused vodka and got to try a spiked blueberry lemonade, and I'm looking forward to making some of those at home! We'll definitely stop at Ridge Runner again during our next trip to the Farmington/Ohiopyle area, and maybe next time we'll be lucky enough to have some food outside and some more drinks! They have a food truck that arrived? They have cocktails in place and all of the different samples available. I had the old fashioned with the honey infused bourbon based whiskey. It was incredible with a dried up orange. We sample the bourbon based whiskey, honey, and a few more including a clear white rum that tasted like something I've had from Colorado back in October. Furikake seasoning was priced higher than other stores as well and all seaweed wrappers seemed higher by a few dollars as well. I couldn't find any onigiri wrappers or taekyung chilli powder seasoning. All in all if I was looking for a specialty ingredient in small quantity or a refrigerated item, I may return to purchase but otherwise maybe better to shop elsewhere for ingredients.

Most things were priced very reasonably and aisles were extremely well stocked and organized. They had everything we had on our list and also when we went there was a wine tasting which they have on Saturdays from 1pm - 5pm. They had a neat little system at the register to make lines go quickly. Each register had two people and while one rang all the items the other packaged/ bagged it all up. Folks were friendly and made small talk as we checked out. Good service. Well stocked. Good prices.
