So I chose to do Adult Waver Program here. It's 450$ and it includes 36 hours of classroom or online course with the final exam and 7 hours of driving itself( behind the wheel practice). If you choose online course - it allows you to take your time and do things in your own pace. As for me, I prefer classroom. So I had to come Monday through Friday from 9am to 12 pm. The atmosphere there is really nice and chill, you can eat snacks and drink water, coffee or whatever you want. Elisa from the front desk is amazing and funny lady, she was supervising us when we were studying. Also I had a Saturday driving improvement class with Abid, who's also very nice and kind guy, and amazing teacher! In his class I had a lot of fun and met a lot of new people. After that I had my final test, which was not that hard, everything was discussed in class. Then I had my behind the wheel classes with Ahmad, very patient instructor, who teaches you how to drive safely and prevent possible accidents. If you guys are new drivers - take the class with him, you won't regret it. After I complete 7 hours of driving, we went to DMV with the school certificate of completion and they issued me my license right there! Also separate Thank you! to Nasim, the owner, he was supporting me and helping me through all the study process! I ended up lying just so the day I scheduled 5 days ahead of time for Adil to show up late and miscommunicate the whole time about whether he was "busy" or not he ended up coming late and then after the dmv eisenhower instructor said that filp flops were okay I ended having to call the front desk and the front desk was no help "just go to another driving school" but I scheduled in advance. I'm going there after this review to ask who the front desk was because they blocked my number and wouldn't schedule a different time for me, thank you. I just completed the new adult waiver program with Ms. Louiza Fazel, and I couldn't be happier! I previously tried the parent-taught method, but I was very nervous driving with my parents. I didn't feel scared driving with Louiza at all. She is very sweet, is good at giving directions, and actually gets to know her students, but in addition to that, she is very experienced and patient. However, since Louiza is one of the most patient instructors that means that she gets a lot of students and is very busy. Louiza offers to pick you up and drop you off at your house, which is great because you don't have to depend on someone with a license to drop you off for your lessons. I think one of the only downsides that I can think of is that once or twice I got a little distracted while talking with her, but I also noticed that she doesn't talk as much with her more inexperienced drivers; so I am certain that she is aware that she shouldn't distract them. I am very happy that I got Louiza as my instructor, and I would definitely recommend her, and this driving school, to other people. :) read more

Horrible school horrible instructor. The whole time with me he talked to his family I pretty much taught myself. Also it's not like he talks like a normal person he YELLS at his phone while talking. I guess he's calling his country or something but it's very unprofessional because it's your second of day or driving and he's not paying attention and gets mad when you mess up. He is a horrible instructor he doesn't work with your schedule he works with his. One time I called him because he was late (which he always is unless he's collecting money which then he is 5 minutes early) he told me he was at the office when you could clearly hear his kids In the background. He is an compulsive lair and if someone on the main road messes up and stuff he curses them out. Aren't they suppose to teach you not to have road rage. Also he has no care for animals he literally wanted me to Run over this bird and a squirrel. I've heated great things about the other lady please get her. The Indian owner who also tries to be a instructor is hot headed and thinks he is better then you in every form. read more

I am a 17-year-old student & I just finished my behind the wheel with Mr. Abid from AAplus & I have never written a review before but after the extremely positive experience I had with Mr. Abid I felt extremely compelled too. Let me first say that Mr. Abid was extremely attentive & knowledgeable when I got behind the wheel. He was always watching what I was doing on the road and even when I had made a mistake he did a tremendous job making me feel comfortable and not anxious which was huge for me since I had always had anxiety driving. Mr abid was a great conversationalist & answered any questions in regards to driving I had & told many funny jokes to help pass the time while I was driving. We were done with my behind the wheel in only 7 days!!! This was essential for me because I was leaving the state soon & needed my license. I had the best driving instructor ever her name is Miss . Louiza . She is an amazing instructor for someone like me who does suffered with really bad anxiety disorder and panic attacks she made me felt very comfortable and she also helped me become a better driver and I ended up passing my driving test with her . I also made some friends with some of the students who did behind the wheels with me . I really enjoy this one week session with her and it's so sad for me to leave because my session is finished with her . I really wish I could stay a little bit more longer with Miss. Louiza , I still stay in touch with her . I highly recommend everyone who is comfortable with female private lesson she's the best . I'd recommend this school to anyone and everyone, especially to first-time drivers. I'm a transplant to VA from New York City. I'm in my late thirties and never had a driving lesson before this school. When I started taking lessons, I'd barely been behind the wheel, and had my permit only for a year. My instructor was patient, awesomely competent, and full of advice and tips on how to be a safe and effective driver. He gave me the space to get used to being behind the wheel, and then successfully added on teaching me about the extra elements that, combined, make a person a good driver. I'm happy to say that after my lessons at this school, and with the guidance my instructor gave me, I'm the proud owner of my very first license. Thank you for everything. I feel bad for some of the other reviewers, I wish they would have had the experience we did. My daughter and I were quite pleased with AA Plus to help her get her VA DL. I was stressed trying to figure out how we were going to make everything work to get her DL and AA Plus removed that stress. She had a fantastic instructor that picked her up on time for each session (7-hours total), refined what her Dad and I had already taught her, and then assigned her provisional license. At this point they told us one of two things will happen - either she'll receive the final license in the mail within a couple months OR she receive the typical summons to go before a judge before getting the final license. Either way, she didn't have to go back to the DMV in person for anything! AA Plus did it all; which I truly appreciate! read more

Mr. Abid was a fantastic driving instructor! Driving is a very big responsibility, and so I was initially quite nervous about learning to drive. However, Mr Abid was quickly able to put me into a calm but alert state of mind, where I was focused and attentive, but relaxed and at ease. His empathetic and positive reinforcement based approach allowed me to feel comfortable and learn effectively. He was also very good at gauging my skill level and what I needed to improve on, as well as quickly and clearly pointing out and correcting my mistakes. I did my driving classes with, Mrs. Rubina. She is an excellent driving instructor! She is very patient, calm, and professional throughout every lesson. She explains everything clearly and makes sure you understand both the rules and practical skills needed for safe driving. Her supportive and encouraging attitude really helped build my confidence behind the wheel. She pays close attention to small details and corrects mistakes in a positive way, which made learning much easier and less stressful. With COVID, there were limited options for my son to get his license. We contact AA Plus and they were extremely accommodating in terms of scheduling his lessons. They were efficient and we felt that he received excellent instruction. Adib was his instructor and he was patient and thorough and ensure that our son was prepared to being driving on his own. We were particularly thankful that the instruction was just not on laws and regulations but was also on the importance of basically being a responsible driver, a good citizen and being respectful to law enforcement. I took the 7-hour driving package at the AA plus driving school. Being a beginner (and one with anxiety issues), I was very apprehensive on my first day of class but the instructor came across as very patient and encouraging and that immediately eased my anxieties. He built up my confidence by letting me drive on familiar turf before taking me on newer routes. Even though I made plenty of mistakes while learning, he was always patiently explaining how to get things right. In seven classes, I graduated from being a novice to a driver. Loved the class.Mr.A the instructor is cool and chilled.The only thing they ask is you pay attention and participate.He'll keep you laughing.But also keep it real.Pay attention you will definitely learn something and make new friends.I was there for only 2 classes but it was worth my time and money.He gives you plenty of breaks and class isn't boring. The best choice was taking the Adult waver program through AA plus school. I really learnt a lot and I was proud when I completed the exams. It helps to take your time- don't rush and repeat the module before attempting the Level test.I would recommend Ahmad for the behind-the-wheel. He is patient and a good teacher, when you make a mistake, he lets you know and tells you the right procedure. Just be sure to communicate your hours ahead of time and it helps to remind him. He really is great when it comes to working around your schedule. I was able to drive in the rain, at night, and further and he guided me very well. I had to take an 8 hour improvement class due to getting a ticket for disobeying a traffic sign and everyday leading up to it, i was dreading it. All I could think about was how slow the time will go by. I got lost on the way there and I called for directional help and the staff is nothing but kind and helped me find my way to the center. The instructor is so witty and fun that it made 8 hours feel like the fraction of the time. I definitely feel more informed and gained more road knowledge. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs to take an improv class. I left with a smile on my face from the jokes made and the light heart because I got this out the way. read more

I am very impressed with this driving school, I really did come in here thinking this was going to be the longest 8 hours of my life. But the moment I walked in I was welcomed with smiles and the class was not boring at all. The instructor, Mr. Abid was very interesting very engaging and made the best out of the 8 hours as possible. He's very caring and kind and wants you to pass. There's only so much fun you can put into a driving improvement class and he really did. Very clean and there's so much available parking. I took the 8-hr course to get my certificate to be able to retake my permit test and I took the 7-hr driving course to receive the certificate to get my license. The teacher was amazing (Abid Mohammed) He made the class interactive and did not make it feel like an agonizing experience. The information was presented through conversation and experiences which made if easy to grasp. It was not just pen, paper, and a textbook. I was nervous for the driving course, but he verbally and visually taught very well. He was extremely patient. I had few experiences with other driving schools and noticed that with this one the instructor was always on time and never had cancelled any class. I am a beginner driver and needed to get a license within a month. I took a 10 hour driving class with this institute and despite having no extra practice, I was able to improve my confidence thanks to the patient Mr Abid, my instructor. His instruction on defensive driving was excellent and though I had a poor start, he helped build my faith in my driving ability and now I can drive in almost any situation. I must also mention that they accommodated for any request I made with regards to class timings or help with course materials.
