The problems outlined go well beyond a "small deviation." One side of the roof had to be removed and redone up to the peak because the shingles were not installed correctly, and rotten sheathing was initially left in place until I pointed it out. Debris during construction is expected, but the issue was that it remained in my driveway for months afterward. Regarding the balance owed, there was no confusion on my end--only on yours, which I also had to point out before it was corrected.

The project was to demo 800 square feet of 30 year old tile and install new tile flooring that runs from the large entry way under the front door into the living room of my house. With huge plate glass windows throughout the space. There was also a rainwater drainage issue that needed a solution. All my concerns about the tile layout and sloping for drainage and protecting the big windows were all addressed both upfront and throughout process. This job included removing the old tiles, machine grinding to remove old cement and rebuilding of the cement base outside, putting in a new drainage pipe through a cement frame under a glass wall and then installing the new tile. The end result is a beautiful new tile floor. I highly recommend DJ and his team to handle your home remodel projects.

I had a driveway done, which does look nice, but ended up cracking in quite a few places. Not two or three places, but all over. Cracking across the majority of the driveway. I asked about any sort of warranty, having one or two cracks I could've looked past it. When it continued and started cracking all over it got frustrating. Especially when JD came out and looked at the cracks and told me he would ask his concrete guys about a fix. (At this point I was already anticipating he would NOT get back to me, and what do you know. Ghosted.) No communication after that, no attempts to update me on any sort fix. For anyone that reads the reviews. You'll notice the out of country, had an emergency excuse. He used that excuse with me as well after blowing us off for multiple days at a time. Seems fishy. Cheap contractor. Cheap work. Bad customer service. I'd recommend to do your due diligence and get more quotes especially if these guys are your only one. It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Working with this company was a nightmare. I will stick to the worst parts, to save myself some…read moretime and energy on this review-which I feel I must leave, in hopes that I save someone else from having to deal with them. The second the contract was signed, they hung us out to dry. The schedule went 7x the quoted time, and we had no support from anyone at 2FL. We were told they'd be finished in one week, but this job took over 7 weeks. There was no outside reason for the job being delayed-no material availability problems, etc. The crew just showed up around noon everyday, and left around 3pm (or sometimes didn't show up at all). We had to push back multiple other jobs to account for 2FL's delays. Some jobs we couldn't push back, and the other crews had to come in and work around 2FL's constant worksite mess. Tools were everywhere, insulation and sawdust were left to sit on the floor for weeks at a time, and open cans of stain and half-used caulk tubes were strewn about until the very last day. After informing 2FL of our issues, the owner (Terry) fired the two people working on our job. I found this out because one of the crew texted me to say "your email to my boss just got us fired." Terry told us he would have a new crew on our job that could finish the job in 2 days, and assured us that he'd take care of us. Then the Friday before work was to start again, the original crew texted me to say "All of the other crews are slammed, so unless you wanna wait, you're stuck with me. Cya Monday." We tried to call the owner about this, and he never called us back. Instead, the crew called us again and said "Terry told me to call you." We were not pleased with how this was handled, but we thought it would all be over soon, so we swallowed it and moved on. Weeks later, we were still having problems. This time, with schedule and work quality. We called the project manager and insisted that he come see the work, and he came over. He agreed that things were not great, and told the crew to fix the crooked window and sloppy trim work. We were fine with this solution, but the work kept dragging out, and the crew kept telling us "It will absolutely be done today." After more than a week of excuses, the work was still not done, and we were up against a hard deadline with our flooring install starting. I called the project manager again, and he had an admin assistant call me back instead. They told me they'd get me taken care of, but I never heard back from anyone again. No one came to do a final walkthrough of the work, or even call to check on things. The first call we got after all of this was just another call requesting final payment. When the job was finally complete, the crew left the place a mess, and with incomplete work everywhere (see photos). We had to scrape up the junk all over the floors ourselves, and then hire another crew to come fix the interior drywall and exterior siding work that was left incomplete by 2FL. In short, I'm so glad this experience with 2FL is over, and I wouldn't advise anyone to work with them, for any reason.
