on April 17th I needed a tow. The guy was there in 15 minutes. The tow truck drivers name was Jason. He was such a nice guy! Only one line for membership payments and employees get first dibs on service. I'm waiting in line with four people and someone working decides she needs to jump in and get cash and talk about stuff that isn't work. 20 mins for people to talk while in line and 3 minutes of work with the computer and cashier. Two working for one person on old paperwork in files. Update. Employee goes to lunch after helping someone one in line after me. Let them skip then left with out talking to the three in line. I've been a AAA member for over 10 years now & have used their services many times. Now that I have a family, I am beginning to utilize their discount prices to hotels & parks a whole lot more. We went to Gilroy Gardens & their discount is amazing. At the park, you'll pay in the $50 range for one ticket. If you go through the GG website, you'll get a discount & pay $35/ticket. If you go through the AAA, you'll pay $29/ticket. There's no discount on the parking pass, but it's convenient to be able to purchase it while you're there anyway. They do not accept cash; I'm not sure if they accept credit cards, but I was able to use debit. What does suck tremdously is their phone system. I had tried calling them for a few days prior to get pricing on the tickets, and kept getting an automated system, & NEVER could get through to a live person. It was beyond frustrating. This AAA Branch (B20) should be stripped of their DMV services! I went there last week to do a "Deletion of Family Member," something that should have only cost $15; but I was charged $1142 by Rep #5G! When I questioned why I was being charged so much, Rep #5G shrugged their shoulders and said "that's what DMV charges." I researched it all weekend and realized that my transaction is a tax exempt transaction and I should not have been charged a $1119 use tax! I called AAA Branch (B20) today and spoke with management and all they kept repeating was for me to "stop yelling" and that "this call is being recorded" and that "DMV would be contacted to see if they recognize this as a mistake." AAA Branch (B20) management and staff (#5G) should no longer be employed in the capacity of conducting DMV Business; as they are poorly trained and poorly skilled in this matter! read more

The reason I am putting a one star rating is because when talking to my parents they said they try and pay the whole year in advance just to avoid talking to the rude older woman that works there. I am guilty too my husband and I try to avoid to go to thr office because we are flat out afraid and intimidated by her strong authoritative personality. Over all the road side service is what attracted me to them we mainly go to fresno because we also have homeowners and car insurance with them we just dont like to be treated like stupid children when we walk in the hanford office with a question or to make a payment. I've never had issues with the staff just this one older lady. I am not sure if AAA has a tenured system like in the Education world but I would suggest some on going training in hospitality is in order for this particular woman. We are on our last month and seriously considering to jump ship to state farm they were 58 dollars more a year but were always extremply nice and they still send us a christmas card. read more

Disappointed to say the least. Went in this morning to conduct some DMV business, because as we all know, AAA is great and courteous and oh by the way, a paid service. What I got was an attitude..not even a "good morning"... Instead it was an outreached hand and a statement "you have a membership card and an ID?" It was like being at the DMV. It was worse though, because I pay to be a "Premium" member of AAA. I had all my paperwork to include my "premium" membership card. I had two DMV registrations to pay. 1 was in my name, 1 was in my wife's name who is also a AAA "Premium"member on the same membership, who lives at the same address as me, and who's name is clearly on the check I gave to your AAA employee. "You can pay for the registration, but I can't give you the tag with your wife's name on it, sorry DMV rules..Don't know what to tell you". So after again questioning why it was specifically that I could not receive my registration speaker, I asked to speak to the manager, who was just as rude and curt. Oh and by the way, I spoke with DMV personally after my most positive interaction with this office and they said that "with proper identification, we allow disbursement to relatives, we do it all the time"..What?! So here's the bottom line. It was disappointing that according to your AAA employee DMV does not allow a husband with AMPLE identification to pay for and pick up a registration tag. I realized that what angered me most was the totally dismissive and rude attitude your employees had with me through my entire transaction. I wasn't going to write this review, but after reading another review with the SAME attitude issue, I decided to. I know at my work, if I interacted with the public in this way, I would be in trouble. Believe me. Its 630 in the fucking morning stuck at the gym and your tow truck driver refused to help me since I'm in visalia. There are NO AAA open here in visalia at this time. I'd give you people zero stars if I could. I'm very upset. You guys have some lazy fucking tow truck drivers. You're a company that's suppose to be open 24/7. They sent my wife away and wouldn't let her make the DMV payment. Had to come back the next day and pay a $28 penalty. Is this why I pay $150 a year for my membership? I was just in Hanford settling my dad's estate, and went to AAA since my dad had all his insurance through them. I honestly didn't know they were a DMV as well, and I've seen the lines at the DMV on Hanford-Armona Rd. No lines here. And I received the best help ever from Nancy Rangel. I have been insured with CSAA for years. Sometimes things are quick, sometimes more complicated, but that is the case with EVERY business like AAA. The bottom line is that in each and every case when my family has needed AAA to cover us in an auto or homeowner matter we have had more than fair and considerate treatment.
