I had the worst experience at AAA Laurel and will never go back there. I went to this location for 4 new tires. Not only did they take 4 hours to finish my car.. when I got my keys the tires were extremely dirty and looked used. I asked multiple times if they were used tires and they claim they don't sell used tires and the tires were so dirty from being stored in the storage area. Not acceptable. If the tires are dirty, why not clean them before or after putting them on a car? Imagine paying $1,000 for new tires and this is how they look.... Also.. the inside of my car was dirty. I dropped off my car clean and came back to dirty carpets. They should use paper mats when getting inside of someone's car!! Horrible service. 0/10. Will never go back. read more

Run. Far, far away. Do not EVER go here. This is for the AAA car service center. I had a battery replaced in a VW Beetle by AAA Roadside Service repair. After the installation, I told the tech the battery light was on and asked if he had installed it properly. He said something like 'the car just needs to recognize the battery' and that it would be fine. The next morning, when driving to work, my car died on the beltway. First, the radio died, then the interior lights, then the engine became unresponsive. Called Roadside service to report and get a tow. I informed the phone representative that I just had a battery install the evening prior. She recommended I use an AAA service center. If AAA caused the problem, they should fix it, right?!? While waiting for the tow truck, I searched 'can my car die from a bad battery install?' Answer: Yes. It confuses the computer, leading to electrical issues and engine breakdown. Exactly what I experienced. The car battery was also charging my phone, and the interior lights came back on once the engine died. So the battery wasn't dead. After arriving at the shop at about 0730am, I asked them to check the battery install, told them what happened, and shared my suspicions. Meanwhile, everyone else insisted I needed a new alternator. The predatory tow truck driver who showed up, the AAA tow truck driver. I didn't think so. I called at about 1230pm, curious about whether anyone had even looked at my car. If it were a bad battery install, I could have salvaged some of my workday. I was told, "Your car is the very next one to be seen, and we'll call you back." At 2pm, I received a text message with a photo of some electrical test done on my car with a $1500 quote for a new alternator. Called the shop for a breakdown between parts and labor. They quoted me 4 hours of labor, and the shop closes at 7pm. Why would they wait more than half of the day to tell me they need exactly the number of hours left in their business day to get my car back on the same day? I think they rely on the fact that people desperately need to get to work. I have a spare car, so this is not an issue for me. I refused the repair, called AAA again, and had my car towed to McFadden Service Center, my usual mechanic. The car arrived there exactly at closing. They even said that if the battery light comes on, it's typically the alternator. Got a call at 10:30 am the next day. Bad battery install. Alternator is fine. $100. You can come pick it up anytime. New batteries need to be registered with the car on foreign cars for the computer to function. I don't know what kind of business they are running at this shop, but they are either criminals or completely incompetent. Looking at Michael B.'s review from January 27, 2024, the 'bad alternator' scam seems to be a pattern. Waiting for a resolution from AAA Roadside Service for the $100 charge and 2 tows on my membership. Came to the location for a simple oil change and to get my windshield wipers swapped. Not only the service took over 2 hours even with appointment scheduled , but the techs managed to loose a part. When I called about an issue to the actual store no one seem to care. Manager nowhere to be found. It took the facility a week to call me back. After all previous conversations, where an associate stated that the part was lost, suddenly the part was found. I drove to the facility in hopes to pick up the part, just to find out that it was a part for another car. An associate assured me that he will pass information to the team and they will be in contact with me, well it has been over a week ago. STAY AWAY!!!!! On November 27th I had my vehicle brought to AAA auto care facility in Suffolk, Virginia. They informed me that I needed a new alternator, battery, and negative battery terminal. I told them using my AAA service contract Please repair the vehicle. The care facility inform me that they did the repair and that I only need to get a new battery which I had a warranty from Nissan already for. Battery was replaced and I started my travel home back to Maryland when my car broke down once again on the highway with my kids in the car this time. My car was towed by AAA to the AAA Maryland auto care facility in Laurel. Mark O'Connor was my service manager and told me that I needed a new alternator and battery terminal. I informed them that it was just changed out by Suffolk and should be under a warranty to which they said they would communicate with them and get it squared away. They changed out the alternator and told me to come pick it up to which I asked "did you test drive the car because what happened before with me driving the car and it shutting down", to which he replied "yes". I came paid for the car drove 2 miles and the battery light came back on. Immediately turned around brought the car back and he said we will try it again and give you a call back to you on Monday. Monday came and they told me the alternator failed. We're gonna put another alternator in there which will make it the third alternator. Once it was done Mark informed me I can come pick the car up it's ready I asked the same question did you test drive the car because it fails after you drive and receive the same reply of yes from Mark O'Connor. on the way home the car had the same issue happen to which I had to turn around and bring it back to him. Mark With the distain face said I don't know what to do, Will try it again but you're probably gonna have to bring this to Nissan. Three days later, he told me to come pick up the car they don't know what's going on with it you'll have to bring it to the dealer. I bought it to the dealer. The dealer said it's the alternator and that we have to put a new alternator in there, I called back to MARK at AAA in Maryland and said it's the alternator can you give me a refund I'm gonna have to pay for the new alternator for Nissan to which he replied. Yes bring me the alternator bring me the alternator back in a box, I will give you a refund. I bought the alternator back in a box and left it for MARK. When I called the double check that he received it the following Monday he replied yes I got it. I am going to speak to my manager and we're going to handle this. Three days later I check back in on the status he said we've been pretty busy excuse me I will get back to you Tomorrow, that was two weeks ago. The communication from the auto care facilities, and the warranty company through AAA has been subpar at best. I still have not received a phone call back from Mark and at this point cannot fathom spending another dollar with AAA car service nationwide. read more

Upon walking in. Your greeted and helped. The place was fully stocked with travel gear and brochures. I had came in to use their passport photo service. The employee that helped me was very friendly and social. Also highly professional and good looking too. Lol. I really can't comment on their auto service dept since I was only their for photos. They also have a on-site notary also which is a major plus so it's a one-stop shop. I love being a member of AAA. Whenever you provide awesome customer service. You have a customer for life. Highly professional employees. All the travel documentation you'll ever need and good ventilation in the place. Definitely my go to AAA local branch. The general crowd was mainly middle class people. They never made me feel like I was a burden by them having to take the extra steps. I also really appreciated that they provided this service. I took my car in for new brake pads and rotors. I was in and out in an hour, and for $100 less than the dealer was asking. The service people were very friendly and made the repair virtually pain free. Laurel, MD: Auto Car Center I brought my 2016 Honda Accord in the beginning of August because my brakes were squeaking and grinding. I was told I needed rotors and front brakes. I got them done for $443. As I was driving home, I heard the loud squeaking from my brakes again. I was told the brand of brakes put on my car was no good. I took my car back. They had it all day again. I leave and yet again the squeaking was still there. I brought the car back. This time they said they was going to totally use another brand of brakes and re-did the rotors. I joined AAA 6 months ago and got an email offering an oil and filter change as well as tire rotation plus a $15.00 discount so I made an appointment to get it done. I arrived at the designated time and settled in for the wait. About 30 minutes later, they told me that I was done but they wouldn't rotate the tires because it has after market wheels on it. They are American aluminum wheels without spacers or any special things except wheel locks. I've had the tires rotated at two other shops without an issue. So my oil change at AAA was my first and last. I asked for a discount since they didn't perform the promised services and was refused. Back to Jiffy Lube I go! read more

I took my care to AAA Auto in Laurel Mary land on Cherry lane for a problem with my cars head light on Oct 4 th 2021 , they called me that same day to say it will cost 205.00 to fix the problem with the light I ok the repair then they callied me the next day to say when they were fixing the electrical problem with the light the box that controls the electric in my car had broken and it would cost and additional 750.00 to fix my car after they broke the elec box they had the car for one month because they could not get the parts to fix it then when I pick up the car the key to lock and unlock the doors ,which was working is no longer working they were also told to do an alinement on the car and that was not done , I went back in to ask about the key not working and the store manager in the repair shop told me it will cost an additional 150.00 an hour to look at the problem.
