Paid 4c lb when others are paying 6 to 8 c a pound. they said it was current market rate that charges daily but odd there price was same cost a couple of years ago and any day you call still 4c/lb. must be Thier own market and not the one the industry watches. use this place as a last resort or for convenience. also closed from 11:30-12:30 for lunch. read more

I'll never go here again I called and asked what time they close they said 4:15 to get there before 4:15 which I did and I unloaded my metal I went over to unload my brass and this little old man with gray hair comes up to me and starts yelling at me about I'm costing him money his employees got to stay late that I love my trailer I should get there earlier and I explained to him that they told me to get there before 4:15 anyways this guy is should be fired the way you talk to me I'll let him know about it too and then he stick continued when I went up to get paid at the cash register I'll never come to this place again everybody there is great except him and because of him I'm done with that place read more

It's a metal recycling center. If you've been to one, you know the drill. If you haven't, let me help you out... When you pull up, it can be a little intimidating. There are mountains of metal and big machines moving them around. Here's a drive-on scale to your right, in the front of the office and right at the entrance. You only pull onto it if you have large items, i.e. a lot of metal that weighs a lot. Otherwise they have a smaller scale that handles smaller loads. The whole place is very industrial and dirty - just like other recycling centers. No big deal, really - just make sure not to wear nice clothes, etc. If you're just looking to recycle your aluminum cans, life is easy. You don't need a cash card (I'll explain more in a sec). You pull in, park kind of "in the middle" off to the left of the drive-on scale (so people can drive around you), and bring your cans over to the smaller scale, which is also next to the office. If they're not busy, someone will approach your car and offer to help. If they ARE busy, look for people manning the smaller scale. If you have heavy stuff but aren't sure about using the drive-on scale, just talk to whoever's manning the smaller scale. If you have other types of metal or larger aluminum pieces, you need cash card. Metal recyclers are highly regulated because of thefts (like copper from AC units), so you sign up for a cash card, give them a thumb print, and they take your picture. A couple of weeks later, you get your cash card in the mail (at no cost to you) and THEN you can recycle your other stuff (copper, brass, etc). So if you have a bunch of stuff you've been saving to recycle but you don't have a cash card, go to the recycling center first, sign up for your cash card, and THEN haul your stuff back once you get your card in the mail. This is not a way to make a bunch of cash, unless you deal with some serious amounts of scrap metal (and you're probably using the drive-on scale and have a trailer full of scrap). But it is a nice way to avoid trashing something that's perfectly recyclable (but you're nervous about putting it in your recycle bin) and you hopefully get a enough cash to buy a cup of coffee. :) I do it for the earth-friendly aspect, not because it's lucrative. And once you have your cash card, it's quick and easy. Side note: if you ever replace old aluminum windows with vinyl windows, hauling your old aluminum ones to a center like this IS worth it. BEWARE these people will rob you at AAA Recycling in Lewisville. Even if you seperate all your metal in bins they will dump it all in 1 and only give you price per a pound for whatever the cheapest type of metal you had. What should have been a $700. load ended up being $466. we tried separating the clean aluminum and other metals out again from what they dumped together in their metal bins but after getting a few pieces out we were told that we had to stop they were taking it to weigh it all now and they weighed it all together. The guys who work there don't speak english or at least act like they don't understand it. If you have to go here watch everything they do and have google translater open on your phone you will need it. read more

I called to see what the rate for aluminum cans were and asked them about how they handle the virus issue. They said the guys outside wear mask. I asked about the people in the office since you have to go in there and explained my mom was elderly and he rudely say don't bring them in here. It seemed to bother them i asked about it.
