I am extremely happy. Can't beat the pick up/drop off service. Eric was driving into Seattle from his Eastside base to see other clients and picked up my knives at my work; I had them back within 24 hours, dropped off at my work. Eric is professional, humorous, and easy to do business with. He was happy to give me an invoice so I didn't have to hunt around for a cash machine. I had one Henckels knife sharpened with the "elite" sharpening service ($2/inch). Like the other review, it is now sharper than it's ever been. I had three smaller run-of-the-mill knives sharpened with the basic sharpening servcie ($1.25/inch); Eric didn't mince the inches and charged the same for all knives even though one knife was longer. Wow! I was a bit hesitant trying out this service, but after reading the reviews, I decided to try out Eric's service. I'm SO glad I did!! Our knives are better than new and slice like butta'. In fact, one of our kitchen knives had a ding at the tip, and he smoothed it out. I transported my knives via towels and paper bags to my nearby Whole Foods' Customer Service Dept. They had me fill out a form and then they put the knives in a long box. He charges by blade size, and they have a form that makes it easy to measure. I've already been slicing & dicing more than usual--probably because cooking is now 100% more enjoyable (and quicker). If you've been on the fence about getting your kitchen knives professionally sharpened, drop everything and take those dull blades to a happy place! I was only without my knives (3) for two days. Learned the company picks up the knives in a provided white thick box at my local Sammamish Met Market on Tuesdays and returns back the knives on Thursdays. Had gotten five knives sharpened and a kitchen scissor all in great cutting condition now after not sharpening it for the past 15 years. Pricing slip is in the box and the owner is very responsive to questions over the phone and even called me back when he missed my call. He takes payment through PayPal, not Met Market, so be ready for an email for payment when he's done sharpening your knives. I have a set of Henckle knives and was really impressed with the knife sharpening from AAA sharper edge. First, My knives came back sharper than I have ever seen before. I cannot believe how much easier it is to use them now. Second, The care and attention to detail they took in sharpening the knives was great. it was refreshing to see someone care about my items better than I did. Third, I was only without the knives for 1 day. I dropped it off at Whole Foods in Redmond and picked it up the next day. We dropped our knives off at the Whole Foods customer service desk. A few days later we got a call saying that they were ready to be picked up. Paid our invoice on PayPal. Just took a couple knives into Erik to get sharpened. The knives I brought in are of S35VN by Chris Reeve, a steel that I find very hard to resharpen. He whipped them out in about ten minutes and they came out hair shaving sharp. This guy does outstanding work!! I recommend this place for all your sharpening needs. AAA Sharper Edge had a drop off location at the Whole Foods in Redmond. Eric, the owner, was very quick to respond to my e-mail inquiries regarding pricing and how long it'll take. I dropped 7 knives off Tuesday morning, and I received a call from Eric saying it was ready for pick up Thursday mid-day. Since I didn't need it right away, I picked it up Friday morning, and they are like brand new! You can conveniently pay online via PayPal or credit card. This is really great service. 2 Global and 3 Henckles sharpened to perfection. One of the Henckles, a serrated bread kife that was dangerously dull, now cuts better than it did when it was new. Only a true craftsman who loves his work would do such a good job. I was able to drop my 3 Wusthof knives (chef, santoku and boning) at Gemini Fish in Issaquah (which in itself is a bonus because they are awesome) and they were ready for pick up the next day.
