I've been a AAA Member for several years now. I've unfortunately had to use their roadside services a few times, but they have always managed to turn what could've been terrible into some much less terrible (that's a good thing! lol). I've been coming to the AAA South Jersey - Voorhees office for the past few years to purchase Gift Cards during the Holiday Season. They run a great promotion on Visa Gift Cards during this time (no fee at activation AND no fee for the recipient to use it). Danielle at this office has been the one to help me and she is such a pleasure to work with. She was terrific again today, as she was able to get everything done smooth and efficient. The team at this office in general is great--I'm always immediately greeted and have nerd felt like they were as busy as they truly are. Thanks for always being there for us! read more

I bought a AAA Roadside membership for my daughter-in-law for the past few years as a Christmas gift because she bought a new car. Last night her husband drove the car to shop for Thanksgiving in the pouring rain (a real downpour). The car was smoking at the store. He called for a tow and was told that because his wife wasn't in the car AAA wouldn't cover the tow. My daughter-in-law had been released 2 weeks ago from a week in the hospital for pneumonia and asthma and could not be in the bad weather. But AAA wouldn't cover the tow because she wasn't in the car. I told "Tom" the Supervisor about the circumstances and he wouldn't budget. I told him I had previously been a AAA member myself and thought the membership covered the car and was told it only covered the person on the card so the card was towed after paying $208. I WILL NOT RENEW THIS PATHETIC "MEMBERSHIP". The rules are ridiculous, the personnel are rude and unsympathetic and frankly, after years of paying for memberships that were never used because there was no need for I remember a tow or roadside service, AAA SOUTH JERSEY is not a service company I would recommend. I'm very grateful for Josh, the tow truck driver who came to my aid on Thursday, January 22nd. I was really scared after my tire blew out on the 42 Freeway near Exit 1C. I spoke with Linda on the phone and she was also very helpful, comforting and competent. Josh arrived within 35 minutes and my ordeal was over. He made sure I was safe. Thank goodness for AAA. STAY AWAY FROM AAA VOORHEES-700 LAUREL OAK ROAD I have been a AAA customer for many years. If you need service without speaking to anyone in the Voorhees office (700 Laurel Oak Road), AAA does a fairly decent job. However, if customer service means anything to you, I suggest using anyone BUT AAA Voorhees. I called tonight with a simple question which should take any qualified company with semi-competent employees who remotely cares about customer service about 2-3 minutes to answer. Specifically I simply want to get some basic information about an international license. Instead of easily obtaining this information I was repeatedly put on a never ending hold pattern after being told I was being transferred to the appropriate person who could answer my question. I made at least 5 calls tonight which combined lasted about 80 minutes unfortunately with no answer. Everyone who picked up the phone said they would connect me with the right person who could answer my question, as no one else could apparently provide this basic information. I would then be placed on an indefinite hold. Clearly what was billed by AAA South Jersey as a "reliable partner for exceptional customer service" was far from true. My experience revealed the opposite. On at least several occasions I tried calling AAA again, hoping for a different result, trying to give them every beefit of the doubt. For 2 calls I spoke with a woman who said her name was Chris and explained to her my predicament and I asked to speak with the manager ASAP. After assuring me that she would get a manager, approximately 20 minutes later no one picked up. Chris never came back to explain that it would take too long, the manager was busy, etc. It was if AAA employees were telling me that they could care less. In my view companies that treat their customers with little to no respect not only don't deserve my business, they don't deserve any business. Customer Service and the companies representations should count- not be discounted. I also left a voicemail and no one called me back. The worst part is that every few minutes a recording comes on stating that my call is "important to AAA". If that were the case they would not place me or any customer on hold for over 20 minutes.... repeatedly. Quite simply I am writing this to WARN others of AAA lack of customer service. Be very careful.....recently, AAA towed my Chevy Impala improperly (winched it onto flatbed in PARK with hook attached wrongly to rear control arm) and broke the rear suspension, causing close to 2k worth of damage. The car sat at my mechanic's lot for about10 days because he was on vacation and other customers car were ahead of mine. When he finally noticed he contacted me and I contacted AAA, and they denied my claim! Sean the customer relations mgr. simply said he was sorry, but the policy is that claims must be filed within10 days. I've had AAA for at least 25 years and I simply can't believe they will do nothing to help me; no rental car, nothing. I need my car to get to work and now I'm faced with a massive repair bill. It's hard to believe that they could damage someone's personal property like that and not see any ethical or moral obligation to to take accountability....they didn't even offer me a free ice-scraper. I posted this because I don't want to see this kind of hardship happen to another working person. Make sure if they tow you that they don't damage your car, because you may be left out in the cold. I have had AAA for almost 9 years but never had to use it. I went out today and my battery was dead. I called AAA and they were at my house within a half hour. I I opted for a new battery since my battery was well over 10 years old. The technician Warren was very respectful explain things to me and did a wonderful job getting my car running. I thought I had a time and let them know that I needed help opening my window because I accidentally flushed my key down the toilet and my phone and everything was in the car. The tow truck driver told me he did not have the right equipment and try not to do it and then he brought out the equipment anyway. Anyway my fog light was completely broken by the tow truck driver somehow and my front end bumper. I filed a complaint and Triple A is asking me so many questions still and giving me a hard time to get any help. I let them know my bumper is falling off as I'm driving and could I please get a rental car in the meantime and they have no concern whatsoever. I've been a AAA Plus member for many years now and have had nothing but great things to say about them ...whether I needed roadside assistance in PA or in NJ. One of my cars needed either a jump start or a new battery, so I called and a AAA South Jersey battery truck was dispatched to my home within an hour. The driver, Hiram, quickly diagnosed the battery which was in bad shape, and replaced it on the spot with a new one. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. The battery in my 2016 SUV was the OEM battery, so it was 6 years old and while the diagnostic on it read fine, I had him replace that one as well since it's not worth taking a chance on a battery past its prime...especially during the winter! I'm glad he had that one available in his truck! I hadn't planned on replacing 2 batteries at once, but Hiram helped make it make sense for me to do so! Our car was stuck in the mud in the pine barrens, gave the operator clear instructions, and INFORMED THEM that the phone we had was almost dead. got more help from good samaritans because the tow truck AAA promised NEVER CAME. they messaged us 5 hours later to see if we still needed help after radio silence all day. abysmal service, no help at all and certainly not worth the subscription. read more

Beware: you will be flat out lied to by customer service reps. I really don't think it's their fault as they have no control over what time tow trucks will arrive, however it is VERY frustrating to be told 60 minutes, they are 5 miles away, almost there, for o we 2 hours. Don't waste time asking for a supervisor. I had the unpleasant experience of dealing with Margie and frankly how she's a supervisor baffles me. No idea what she's is doing. On Friday October 28th at around 3 pm I contacted AAA in an attempt to get my disabled car towed from Pennsauken back to Cherry Hill. About 30 minutes later I called again to get an estimated time of arrival (since they wouldn't give me one when I called at 3 pm - at 3 pm they said "we don't know yet"). During this 3:30 pm call I was told no dispatch had been set up yet because they needed more information from me and that someone had "left me a message requesting that I call back" (which is not true). During this 3:30 pm call I then answered some questions (the same ones that were answered during the 3 pm call a half hour earlier) and at the conclusion of this call (around 3:30 pm) I was told the tow truck would arrive "within the hour" (eg around 4:30 pm). When the driver arrived at 5:05 pm (around 90 minutes later) it was 5 minutes after the business at the address where the car was located had closed (as they had closed at 5 pm-as most businesses do on a Friday). The tow driver was rude and asked to see my driver's license, registration and insurance card. When I went to hand it to him he said I can't tow your car because the business is closed and I have no way of knowing if you are stealing this car (this is despite the fact that I presented my driver's license, registration and insurance card to him which are all in my name - including the photo driver's license) and the only reason the business was closed is because it took almost two hours for the driver to show up from the time I placed the original 3 pm call. I said so if it was on the street then you can tow it, he said yes. I then said, then I will move it. He then said "too late" and was very nasty about and drove away. I then moved the car into a parking spot on the street and knocked on a stranger's door who's house the car was now parked in front of and asked for his help in once again reaching out to AAA. Five calls and another 4 hours passed (until around 9 pm). AAA told us repeatedly during that 4 hours that the driver is "on the way", "the driver will be there within 15 minutes", etc. Then after lying to us for four hours they ("Team Lead Barry") admitted that they had no intention of sending another driver to tow the car. They said they will not tow it until they get verification from the business that I wasn't stealing it. This is despite the fact that the business will be closed until Monday and when I asked for the phone number of the business they needed verification from they said they "didn't know". I then said if you won't tell me how to call them how can I ask them to give you the verification you are looking for, this question fell on deaf ears and instead I was presented with more circular reasoning from "Team Lead Barry" who said a supervisor "wasn't available" but would "call me back". It is now four days later and I still haven't received that call back. Common sense would dictate that if I was trying to steal a car from the business I wouldn't have been calling AAA at 3 pm asking that they come and tow it (two hours before the business closed at 5 pm) since no one thinks it will take two hours for AAA to show up on a day with nice weather. Anyhow I then had to pay Uber $40 to get back home to Cherry Hill (after waiting for AAA to tow the car for around six hours in total - 3 pm to 9 pm) and now will have to pay Uber another $40 to get back to the car since I will then need to be there when it eventually gets towed. I have been an AAA member for decades. It is now Tuesday November 1, 2022 and the business they need "verification" from has been open since yesterday morning yet they still haven't agreed to tow the car and instead they continue to give me a run around. read more

CAVEAT EMPTIER .! On March 17th 2011 my wife and I booked a trip to NYC W/Show tickets, with AAA So. Jersey, Voorhees. One month later while searching AAA's site for other trips, I discovered that AAA had reduced the the cost of the same trip w/tickets by 50%. And 2 months later by 66%. Our tickets were $149.00 for a total of $298.00. The final reduced price was $49.00 ea. In Apr I sent AAA Customer Service an email, inquiring about this issue. Having heard nothing of a reply I called in May, the Voorthees office and was informed that all emails are forwarded to the appropriate dept., and yours sir would have gone to our bus trip coordinator Debbie, upon which my call was forwarded to her. I received a busy, then v/m and left a message. Requesting an adjustment....this was a month prior to this trip. No Call was forthcoming. On June 4th we boarded a bus in Sewell our pick-up point. Upon arrival at the Voorhees Office of AAA, Seeing some passengers already had tickets for this trip, I spoke with the trip chaperone, about our tickets and an adjustment, and was referred to Debbie. She informed me that Triple A's policy was "No Refunds's", at which time I told her I was not asking for a refund but rather an adjustment, covering the reduced cost that others were charged for the same trip. Debbie informed me "that's our policy, and you can speak with our President and he'll tell you the same thing." I informed her that other passengers had told me they too had paid either full or the second reduced cost per ticket's for this same trip. Origional ticket price $149.00 1st discounted price $119.00 2nd discounted price $49.00 I was unable to locate on their site any policy that addresses adjustments, or for that matter discounted tickets. I feel they AAA, was less then truthful By not stating a "Disclaimer", on there site, that if the trip isn't filled we will discount tickets attempting to fill those seats. Really disappointed with some of the agents here, so it might be a YMMV situation. We were working with Jennifer Faucett, who was great during the sign-up phase. However, after (you know, the point where she makes the commission) we have been ignored, both via phone and email. I was trying to check on a few aspects of our policy, and it's now been a week and no response. It must be a great place to work- I often run into autoresponders saying that she is on vacation (not this time though- no response whatsoever). I had run into issues with our policy on closing day, and the other agent I dealt with (Andrew maybe?) was excellent in emailing out revised documentation, so I'm wondering if I may have the dud in the office. We absolutely loved Tina!!! We first came in in April or May to go over details of booking our Bahamas trip for our friends' destination wedding. Tina was able to help us map out other places we could go before/after the Bahamas. She was friendly and personable. We finally back today to book the trip and she made it easy and quick. I like that they use email because I just sent her an email earlier in the day to let her know we were coming and responded back fairly quickly. We also asked her for suggestions to Chicago even though we booked that online and she was more then happy to help us. I definitely will be booking future vacations with Tina! If you have insurance, pay for roadside assistance via your insurance. AAA is not for the customer, only your money. Don't live in an 'urban' area or be in Camden. The driver will pretend to call, close out your call, and tell AAA you did not answer. Oh, and AAA, will ask you well what do you want us to do??? AAA, hold people accountable when you customers paying for a service. AAA treats you like you don't matter is cause they assume you have no other options. So, I coming to work one day last week, got a flat tire, called AAA they came out in about an hour. Two AAA guys I suppose one was training. The training guy puts the hydraulic jack underneath my car and the car falls off the jack with the jack still underneath. They proceed to put a donut on my car and I slowly proceed to work about 3-5 min away from where I got the flat. Upon leaving work I go to have the tire fixed nearby, the tire is changed by professionals very quickly. As I am proceeding down rt 130 the car is just not riding right I pull over by the PSEG. A very nice man pulls over to see if he can help, I tell him that I had a flat earlier in the day, he climbs underneath my car and says "you have a crack in your lower control arm, what happened?" I explained that I had got a flat tire when my car brushed up against the curb earlier that day. He expressed that could not be how the lower control arm was cracked, it would take more force than that and advised not to drive it any further. Then I said well AAA came out and my car fell off the jack with the jack underneath the car. That sounded more plausible for the crack. I had to leave my car overnight because AAA was extremely busy and after waiting 3 1/2 hrs after work I was too tired. I moved the car about 1/2 block from PSEG for safety. The next morning I went to my car and called AAA to tow the car to the nearest AAA repair shop....Tony's Auto Repair...bad mistake on my part. First of all I was treated like I was a LIAR, as if I was making up a story for AAA to pay for my car repair. Even after I explained what happened, they refused to believe me and blatantly said that there could not have been ANY damage to my car for falling off the jack. Not even contributing to the crack....really? They took upon themselves to call AAA and report that the damages was not done by the car falling off the jack and even lied and said the control arm was split in half (and it was not because I would not have been able to drive it down the street from PSEG). AAA in turn refused to take ANY responsibility for my car falling off the jack (even after the drivers admitted to it). Even if there were other factors I am sure that there could have at least been a contributing factor to what happened to my car. I did not crash my car, I did not run over anything, yes my car slid up against the curb and slashed the outer part of my tire and dented the rim a bit, but nothing went underneath my car except for that Hydraulic Jack. My flat tire turned into a $600 expense that wasn't even caused by me and BTW my car is a 2019. Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing, I was unfairly treated and taken advantage of. read more

I speak with vendors and service reps all day in my business, but have never had the pleasure of working with an insurance rep like Marianne Krug. She was friendly, polite and organized in addressing my concerns. I simply could not get over how skilled she was in doing her job and making me feel like I was her #1 customer, even though this was my first time speaking with her. I will not buy another battery from AAA. I am very disappointed they did not honor their warranty on batteries. I have a 2008 HHR. The battery was less than 3 years old. I had them to come out to check the battery because it was dead. The test came up inconclusive. They had to jump start the battery to test it. The technician took it out for me and I took it to Auto Zone and Advanced Auto and had it tested. They said the battery was bad. I called AAA one week later to have them retest it. They came out had to jump start the battery again (twice) because the first test did not work (March 1st) the technician starts banging on the tester because it wasn't working it froze. He said the tester did not work. I asked if he had a backup tester he said no. So I ended up paying $138.00 for a new battery so I would not get charged a service call. Customer service called and asked me my satisfaction for the day I told them and she said the technician did note that I had concerns about the tester and the results. She sent an email to her manager who was supposed to have her manager call me. So today March 17, 2018 I finally hear from someone, and she said there were no notes on that in the computer. Lies and bad customer service. You will not get my money for a battery again! Maybe I should call channel 10 news and have them investigate it. read more

After i paid all the expenses for the car for AAA to tell me have wait til facility to open to have consent to remove car from lot. I must saying that I have always had a great experience at the Voorhees location. This is in regards to what I believe a scam being used towards members by AAA corp.. My membership expired on 11-3-2015. I was not going to renew it. In January of 2016 I received a offer in the mail from them to come back at an $8.00 discount. I called the company and took advantage of the deal on 1-21-2016. When I received my new membership cards in the mail they had a 11-30-2016 expiration on them. Which means I had already lost almost two months of service. When I contacted the company about this they had a Maryann for the Voorhees office call me back. When I explained this to her she advised me that they kept my account in a active phase so that incase I should need their service I could still get it but I would need to pay at that time. Crazy!. I then asked her that if I had broke down on 12-1-2015, a day after I expired with no way to pay my renewal on the spot would your company have sent a tow truck. She responded, NO!. So I ask how does this help the customer? I advised her that I feel if this goes on with other customers across the country the company is scamming people out of membership time. She responded stating that this should have been explained. She then proceeded to rush me off the phone stating she will send out new cards with the new expiration date.
