I used to have so much fun planning trips with AAA trip ticks come and now you can't get anybody on the phone. You have to go in in person. Everything is over the computer you might as well. Just do it at home by yourself. I used to make my kids read the back of every single page to see what was interesting in the little cities in the United States. It used to be so much fun. Needed an International Drivers Permit at the last minute for our trip to Spain the very next day. I went in to bundle home and auto insurance. The agent got both for me at a great rate. He never notified me that I would need to get a new inspection but took my money. Two months later, I got a notice that I needed an inspection of my policies would be cancelled. I attempted to contact my agent, and he never responded to any of my attempts. I called another office and got a different agent. She told me that I did need the inspection and recommended someone for me to get it from. I got the inspection and sent it to the new agent. She confirmed receipt and said she would submit it to AAA. Two months later, I got a refund check in the mail notifying me that both of my policies, even the auto insurance that didn't need an inspection, were cancelled. I immediately contacted the new agent as well as the former agent and got no one. I spoke to the supervisor of the Vero Beach branch who confirmed that both policies had been cancelled without notifying me that underwriting did not accept the inspection I submitted to the second agent. The supervisor also notified me that the second agent did not work for AAA anymore. AAA refused to do anything for me to get my policies back in good standing and did not acknowledge their failure to notify me after I submitted the inspection that it would not be accepted. I received no correspondence via email, phone, or mail after my email from the second agent saying she was submitting the inspection and that everything looked good. This was the worst experience I have ever had with insurance companies, and I would never recommend AAA to anyone. read more

Been a customer for over 40 years hardly ever use them but when I need them I got a big fu all I needed was a jump start called in for help at 6:32kept getting run around promising someone would be calling me to come give me a jump but no one ever did had to go into a restaurant/bar that I had never been into and ask for a jump after about 20 minutes found someone to help me out. Oh by the way the whole ordeal started at 6:32 pm finally got a call from AAA that someone was coming to give me a jump about 10 hours later at 4:08 am. This company has gone way down hill!!! AAA - or the American Automobile Association - located on State Road 60 in Vero Beach deserves an honorable mention from a recent visit. Plenty of perks with the AAA Plus or AAA Premier membership. For many years, I went without AAA as I've owned brand new cars and never had an issue. Moving from Fort Lauderdale to Vero Beach, we started with the Classic membership, moved to the Plus, and recently went to the Premier because of the perks. And since I'm still back and forth from Broward to the Treasure Coast, you never know when you might break down, have a flat or just need that extra bump in service that is available from membership. My favorite perk of the AAA Plus and AAA Premier membership are the free passport photos. In recent need of passport renewals, I brought my family of 5 to the Vero Beach office. After all - "free" beats the price at my local Walgreens or CVS. Friendly staff and quick service. After verifying my membership level, we were taken care of and on the road within ten minutes. It's not just about towing and free gas should you break down along the side of the road. Explore the perks as a lot of club memberships provide services and benefits that you're not even aware of. Transferring to AAA Vero Beach from out of state and had horrible in office experience. The person in the office told us to come back another day because there was a new office app problem. We returned another day, tried to get it sorted, she was rude. When I asked if she was still having app problem she acted like she never said that. Then she said, after some rude exchanges that she had sorted it. Back at home I tried to long on and she had given me wrong membership number and other incorrect info. I had to call AAA 800 number and the phone person was wonderful and sorted it all out quickly and politely and apologized for the person in the office. I've had AAA for years, great for road side emergencies. I would avoid going into or working with this Vero Beach office. They don't know how, or can't be bothered, to sort out any issues. read more

About a year ago I called because my car was dead. They came out, told me it was the alternator and towed the car to my mechanic. Turns out the battery was dead. This year my car went dead again, they came out, told me it was definitely and without question the alternator. They towed my car to my mechanic who again said it's the bad battery. I since found out AAA only gives out reconditioned batteries, never new ones. So now I have to get a ride to the mechanic because they refused to change the battery unless I was there. I get there, they took forever so I had to wait for them, they changed the battery and that was it. If they had changed the battery to begin with, the two extra tows for AAA wouldn't have happened. When I called the office to tell them, they said there's nothing they can do, the equipment told the tech it was the alternator so they could not do anything else to help. I'll be looking for another company for sure. Once was bad enough, how they did it again. read more

12/15/ 20: My experience last week sounds just like Yvonne's 2019 review. I got a new battery from AAA in August. It died last week. My bad--I'd let the car sit for 3 weeks. The AAA tech, however, said first that I had a starter problem and then a bad alternator. I had the car towed to my mechanic. He found no problem with the alternator or battery except that the battery needed a charge. Needless to say, I now am suspicious of having AAA Vero do anything more than a jump. This is sad, as I've been a long-time AAA member who values the services they provide. read more

Great company overall. It's the women in the office. Absolutely no Customer Service. When I go into the office to pay my bill, they act like they are doing you a favor by taking the payment...that's after they keep you waiting while they gossip with each other. They really can keep their attitudes to themselves. read more

I've been a AAA member for many years and have had no issues or complaints until I used AAA Vero Beach. In fact I've had great service in the past with other offices and on the road. I retired from a travel and tourism industry and know what's involved with making reservations and dealing with other travel companies. Originally I booked my cruise with a gentleman (that was very good) but unfortunately he left the office and my reservation was turned over to someone else in office. From that point on the service went downward. They are not very prompt at answering your calls or emails. You have to follow up with them in order to get what you need and want. They are not customer oriented office and I will not use them again for travel arrangements. read more
