Unfortunately, on January 19th, 2024, I was involved in an auto accident- my first. Thankfully, I am well; my car, however, was a total loss. I imagined the most distressing part of the incident was still to come- working with my insurance. I want to highlight my agent, Danielle Pezzano, who ensured the experience was anything but that.  Danielle guided me through this process and was always available by phone or email for questions and concerns. Danielle thoroughly explained everything along the way and was timely in her responses and actions. I felt that she was a supportive advocate for me, and that is just what is needed after a traumatic experience. I cannot imagine what this could have been like had I been with a different company, but more importantly, another agent.  This experience has affirmed for my partner and I that we feel valued as Allstate customers and have no reservations about maintaining our policies and recommending Allstate (and Danielle) to our family and friends. As someone who has worked in sales, customer service, and management, I recognize that we often only hear about less-than-ideal experiences. I made it a point to take time out of my day to ensure that Danielle is recognized for the outstanding service and representation of this agency.

Despite carrying a $500 deductible, my actual out-of-pocket impact from this claim has now exceeded $2,000, including extended rental vehicle expenses tied directly to the prolonged handling timeline. What stood out most was the lack of meaningful support, communication, or advocacy from the local office throughout the process. Outside of automated system-generated claim updates, there was little proactive engagement or effort to help escalate or navigate an increasingly frustrating situation. Separately, my premiums have continued to increase consistently over time with little to no communication, context, or guidance from the local office regarding the changes. Combined with the experience surrounding this claim, it has left me questioning the overall value of the customer relationship and the level of representation being provided. I understand local agents may not directly manage claims operations, but when customers are dealing with prolonged delays, financial impact, and escalating frustration, they reasonably expect their agent to step in, advocate internally, and help drive resolution. That level of partnership was simply missing here. For a company that emphasizes customer relationships and loyalty, the experience felt surprisingly impersonal during a time when support should have mattered most. Based on my experience, customers should calibrate expectations accordingly if they are looking for proactive representation during a difficult claims process.

There is an Office, only 1 in Westchester, and got Amara, young Agent to tell me how much my policy would be comparing it to my previous Insurance. The most obvious difference was between Renters Insurance. She spoke very fast, had objections to all my questions as I cant compare Apples and Oranges. Before I knew it, I was paying the Full Year of both Renters and Auto. Saving $200 which I thought may have bern worth the switch. Not so fast..I couldnt get their Mobile App to work, did not get confirmation of how much I paid, finding that there are different departments based on what you needed, I decided to call Amara for help. Left 2 messages with no call back. I then called Customer Service to answer some questions that came up, waited on the phone 40 min, got a gent, who put me on hold---forever. I then called my previous Insurance, they had not Cancelled me yet because Amara never sent the notice to me to forward on. That was actually lucky so I told them I wanted to come back. Ok Tried Amara again, too busy, but no call back all day. I called Customer Service and got a wonderful woman who Cancelled my Auto & sent to Allstate. Renters is separate as they have different investors buy a part of everyones policy. CS Gent was a Pro! Very welcoming, not pushy. Chase is more aggressive than Wells in multiple ways including, but not limited to, business lines of credit and dealing with my more difficult transactions. The people running Chase and this branch definitely GET IT! And like Wells, they are always willing to sit down and talk with their customers regardless if it leads to new business. Parking is behind the bank and to the best of my knowledge, is public pay parking (but I can't swear to this). All in All, if you have made Chase your primary bank, you made a great choice. Kudos.

He failed to do so and told me he had done it for a year and a half. Every time I asked him, he said he took care of it. It is impossible to get through to anyone, and there is no accountability. And if you call their customer service, the person who fixes your login information is the same person who handles complaints. They owe me $590 according to their guarantee and I have to sue them and file a complaint in consumer protection court. I will also file in small claims court. and egregious to complete a simple task and lying to me. Failure on my part to not have been more assertive and aggressive when the matter first came to surface.
