If I could give them 100 stars, I would do so! Amplify DJs was without a doubt, one of the best…read morevendors we had for our wedding. Nate DJ at our wedding, and boy did he deliver! Before we even hired Nate, he didn't know that he was a part of me and my husband's story because my husband asked me out while on the dance floor at a wedding that Nate was DJing. When we told him the story, he was beyond excited to be a part of it, and he even told it at our wedding that was such a sweet and special touch that I didn't know he was going to do. Their communication and professionalism is top-notch, and they truly want to deliver The experience that you and your partner specifically want for your wedding. We asked for a party vibe, we didn't want to stop dancing the whole night, and we did not stop dancing! Nate jumped into the crowd with us which we wanted, and staying with us to songs all throughout the night. He even surprised us with a little bride versus groom battle, which gave us some of the best core memories we will ever have. I quite literally cannot say enough good things about our experience with Nate and amplify. The music selection was spot on, and we didn't even give him too much direction beyond just genres. They make sure you fill out a long form so they know specifically an exactly the kind of music you do or don't want at your wedding. He even edited my ceremony song for me so that I would have my favorite parts play while I was walking down the aisle. You want them as your DJ at your wedding, trust me! My favorite memories will be from when we were on the dance floor.

That's right, he didn't have music to play. One of our guests plugged their phone in and played off of her downloaded apple music. We were extremely clear that there would be absolutely NO profane music and he played multiple UNEDITED EXPLICIT songs including the song during the bouquet toss which had everyone's attention. We were mortified. 70% of our guests at the ceremony think that we didn't have any music playing. We paid an extremely talented guitarist that nobody got the pleasure of hearing. Nate tells me that falls on the guitarist, but he also stated that Dakota did the sound check for him and the reason that the music was nonexistent is because the crowd absorbed the sounds....(at an outdoor ceremony??) Dakota was COMPLETELY DISASSOCIATED with the crowd and was a HUGE disappointment. The owner Nate apologized; him and Dakota "feel terrible" and he offered to take us to dinner. HE SAID NO TO A REFUND. I have never been so humiliated by a company in all of my life. Everyone talked during the speeches and nobody could hear anything. One of my guests approached me and said they went to the DJ and told them they couldn't hear out of the speaker because its echoing. The DJ responded with "that's just the way it is and I can't do anything about it". We had two meetings prior to the wedding. They were late to both. Small detail but it all adds up to literally nothing going right. There are a lot of great reviews and I know everyone is human. I understand that disasters happen. What I do not understand is how this situation is handled. They sell themselves on "we are much more than just a DJ, we also coordinate and make sure everything goes smoothly". They couldn't even fulfill their contract which reads "The DJ hereby agrees to skillfully and faithfully render his or her professional services and is AT ALL TIMES TO HAVE COMPLETE CONTROL OF HIS OF HER PROGRAM ". Pretty positive that contract was breached when one of my guests took the DJ's role and played her downloaded music.

My one year anniversary was yesterday and we talked about how disappointing the DJ was so I decided…read moreto post this review. We were not overly pleased with the DJ services at our wedding. The first issue was that he was calling my husband @ 5:15pm asking where we were. Our wedding started at 5:00 pm. He didn't know where he was going. I could not have been clearer in my directions when speaking with the owner on the phone or on the application for services. We were about to walk down the aisle when he was calling. That's completely unacceptable!! If he was unsure where he was going, he should have arrived early to avoid any confusion. Two, it took him a while to get set up and the system was 'glitchy' for what seemed to be awhile. That caused cocktail hour to be a little disruptive. After he got going, we did change our minds and decide to play a little upbeat music before we had written it on the schedule to do, the DJ was resistant to the change saying it wasn't on the schedule. If the DJ can't go with the flow, I don't know who can. I also wrote on my list, that accepting requests was ok, but when someone went up to do so, he said that was going to be a problem for him as it was going to throw him off. Not sure what that's about. I also requested a particular song for the cake cutting and specifically requested the Billy Idol speech at the beginning of the song to be played, it was not. I also requested Ellie Goulding's How Long Will I Love You be played for our first dance. I still don't know what he played. It was not the sweet soft song that Ellie Goulding sings. Everyone kept asking what song it was I assume it was a techno version or dance remix but not first dance material. It was extremely disappointing. Lastly, every 5 minutes he would interlace his DJ name into the songs. Cool for the club scene and maybe okay at a wedding a few times but no one wanted to hear "DJ Dean" in every song. Thankfully for you I am an older bride, who made it very clear that we were a laid-back couple, just looking to have a good time. We initially reached out to the owner after the wedding and he offered $50 dollars back. We didn't take it as the review for others to see was more important. Ironically, being that he didn't even perform for the whole five hours the refund should have been more without any of the issues. If I had been a first-time bride, I shudder to think of the review she would have left about your company/services. We made the best of it, but for $400 dollars/$80 hour, I expected better. I do not recommend this service.
