this is the worst and utter failure of what a catering service should be. We purchased food to feed 138 people. There was not enough to even feed 20 people. we were provided a list of what items they will be providing. Only to be provided sams club bucket of chicken salad, pulled pork, and stale buns that the caterer daphne did not even use sanitary process to serve the lack luster food. when confronted about the food. she played coy and said she left food at her house and will have to go back and get it. 2 hours later to only return with fried chicken fingers from walmart. the servers she provided did not know how to set up the equipment leaving our company to do the set up. The servers were also there to act as gamers for our casino games. Neither server knew how to play any casino games. But instead decided they were going to partake in the festivities of the party. This women needs to stop scamming businesses and people out of their money and needs to be reported to the better business bureau. To which will be my next action. when informed that we will be taking legal action against her. she has disappeared. when i try to contact the corporate offices. Their number is no longer in service. Please do not get scammed by this disgraceful excuse of a catering company. read more

I would steer clear of this company. I had booked my wedding with this company because we were on a tight budget but soon after I booked them I saw a review on WeddingWire where they served spoiled chicken at a wedding. People got sick and couldn't even eat. It ruined the whole wedding. The next day I called the President of Function Events and told her the situation. She didn't even try to keep my business by saying it was their mistake or that they've made improvements since then. She just said "Okay I get it" and to email her to cancel it. My wedding was 3 months out so they had more than enough time to find another event for that day. I tried to get my deposit back and they declined it and added in a bunch of "additional fees". I tried calling the company multiple times but it sent me straight to voicemail so I'm assuming they blocked my number after I cancelled. Everything then was done via email, I pleaded for some of the money back and they would not budge so I ended up filing a dispute with my credit card company. I would really save yourself the hassle and steer clear of this company, it is not worth the money you think you will save. Take my word for it. Pay a little more and go with a more reputable caterer. read more

Horrible Horrible Horrible Horrible. Please be aware of these HORRIBLE caterers. They catered an associate Luncheon for 395 ppl and were not capable of doing it. They are NOT to be trusted. Over promising and under delivering. Shopped at SAM's Club and Dollar Tree for our items. Oh went and bought store cakes and then didn't even cut it. MY company hired these less than competent women. Their website is FAKE because they had HORRIBLE linens that didn't match. My managers and I ended up setting up EVERYTHING along with 2 of her poor workers who the OWNER Daphne and her Sister whose name I don't remember LEFT THEM STRANDED alone at our facility. They were mixing up Kool Aid and Lemonade in the sink that our associate use. Oh they had the nerve to use our own microwaves to try and warm of food and when confronted did not understand why that was a problem. Oh and don't ask them what gloves are because Daphne the owner/President was tearing turkey off the bones with her bare hand. That was unsanitary. Their uniforms were not clean, they were LATE and forced us to shut down production. WE ended up having to go to an outside restaurant to get because they were so ill prepared. They did not give us what they promised for what we were to pay. This deserves ZERO Stars. PLEASE DO NOT FALL for her I can deliver speech because it is all lies. She was to service a group of 225 people and she made EVERY excuse in the book for why there was an issue and had the nerve to try to blame me for their failure to excuse. Don't let me leave her sister out who kept trying to justify their service good and it is expecting in the catering business. HECK NO, I have NEVER seen such unprofessional execution in my life. They brought a dirty confection oven into our building with the intention of using it to cook, REALLY. They exercised POOR Judgement the entire time. There is so much more to tell, like the serves drinking and eating on the food we didn't have. I still could write another 3 or 10 pages about the lack of service, the lack of professionalism, the lack of customer focus, the excuses. It was a cluster _____________ all the way. DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU LIKE GIVING AWAY MONEY. You will NOT get what you paid for. You will be disappointed. read more

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! We began using Function Events in 2012 for our annual Associates Picnic, the communication and detail has always been excellent. The delivery and quality of events made my job much easier. Recently we have incorporated our Holiday Party and it was amazing, the Casino Party, passing Appetizers and the Mardi Gras Theme was a huge hit!
