About 30 Km from Aarhus center this is a small airport, but has some good connections, as the airport is small it is quick to get to the gate, and things seem to work well. Arrival is super fast from landing to getting a taxi if you dont have bags on the plane fan take as little as 10 mins. Small and our bags beat us to the baggage area. It's a port city so has a nautical theme. Very easy to find your way.

Yes, very small with usually only one or two flights arriving or departing every couple of hours. I took the bus (925X) from/to the airport. It was really easy as the bus schedule is set based on the arriving and departing flights. I was concerned that the bus that was recommend for my return flight arrived at the airport 35 minutes prior to my flight departing, however, it turned out there were only two flights leaving and since they are smaller planes, the security line is not overwhelming and you get the sense that they will make sure everyone gets through and can board the plane. There is a restaurant with a view of the runway and some shopping, but not a whole lot more. read more

Seriously, this is the best airport on the planet. There is a reasonable selection of flights for airports this size on a few different carriers. But it is the people--they are just nice, nice, and nice. Everyone from the checkin team, the boarding team and the lady in the gift shop will go out of their way for their guests. It is a very authentic hospitality you don't find a lot anymore. read more
