Quick and easy. I found my threading place! It's located between GongCha and Bay Sushi. Just walked in and they sat me down right away. They accept credit cards for both service and tip. I paid $10 for the threading (tip not included). Reading another's review I did hear conversation in the business (customer and nails lady) but I don't see threading as a relaxing session so the chat didn't bother me. But a suggestion would be maybe add music in the store so it's not super quiet where you hear everything. read more

I've been getting my brows threaded at Aarna for over 2 years and every single time I love them. The last few times I've been, Mandy has been my threader. Upon getting seated, Mandy right away ask me what I was looking for regards to the shape of my eyebrows and proceeded to tell me the areas in which need to be left alone for growth and the clear reasoning behind it, which says a lot as compared to other locations that just start threading you right away without knowing what you want. This was my first visit. The place itself was very clean and bright. Mandy sat me down, I told her what I wanted - and she made some recommendations based on my brow shape, which I took because she's the expert! She was quick and efficient, and the threading was not painful at all (I'm used to more pain with threading). She cleaned up my brows from the Covid year and even trimmed them. I liked that she asked if I wanted any gel after, because I don't like it and most places just slap it on you before you can say, "No." So thank you, Mandy, for making my brows look great! Fast, no pain, no fuss. I got my underarms waxed. I think I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and I felt no pain.

It was time to get dem eyebrows did, and I knew exactly where to give my money. Nestled between Bay Sushi and GongCha, this salon was easy to find. I had been to the other establishment on El Camino and had a great experience there, but this place is so close to my domicile. I made a reservation via yelp with Anita B (but also saw you could make a ressie through its own website link). Walk-ins definitely occur, since another party who was there before me was told to wait given I had booked an appointment. But hey...threading takes about 5 minutes. And it's not a shoddy job five minutes, it's a "I'm a boss THRUPP THRUPP THRUPP perfectly sculpted here's my credit card have a nice day" 5 minutes. Will definitely be coming back. read more

I've been coming to Aarna for several years and they've always done a great job. Unfortunately the girl I usually see doesn't work there anymore so I made an appointment with Mandy. After having my eyebrows messed up from having them done else where, she took the time to take a look at them and discussed with me what I wanted and how she could even out my brows. She did a great job and I'm happy with the end result. I can't wait for my brows to grow out so I can return to have them shaped even better. Also, the COVID safety was on point (temp check, cleaning, sanitizing, etc.) and they use a different technique where they perform the threading with the thread around the neck rather than in the mouth. I always had good layered Hair cut when I was in india but couldn't find a nice hair dresser in USA who can understand what exactly I want for my hair . wherever I went, all used to do thinning of my hair.. I tried liking the shape of it but not exactly what I wanted . Finally met Ritu via a friend.. I have had threading here multiple times. It is the best threading place I have ever been to! It is also cheaper than the mall. Mandy and the other staff really understand eyebrows. Getting your eyebrows done is the male equivalent of girls putting on makeup. Don't be afraid. Your face will look sooooooo much better definitely worth it. They also even have a website and app so you can easily schedule an appointment although I usually just walk in. read more

Went to get arms and legs waxed and it was the worst waxing experience I have ever had. It was a new lady who did not know how to apply the wax or take it off. Half the time the wax was not hot enough and was painful. Asked the waxing lady to remove hair on my fingers and she LAUGHED and said she had not seen hair on fingers. She also waxed only 4 fingers and when asked to wax the 5th said I should skip it because I was wearing a ring !!???!! Still have wax sticking on my arms and legs as I write the review read more

I love Aarna and have been a regular at their Santa Clara location for years! I went to see Mamta when she was covering in Santa Clara. I followed her back to Sunnyvale location for a reason people!! Been coming to Aarna for years-first experience coming back during COVID. 10/10 for cleanliness and covid procedures, Mandy took our temperatures, and wiped down the chairs in between clients. There's a 6 person max inside and she made sure to have us all socially distanced. She did a fantastic job-my first eyebrow appointment in over 8 months and boy did I need it! The salon is clean and I don't often have to wait long for eyebrow threading. Anita is the more conscientious of the two women who work here--she is deliberate, gentle, and takes her time. Mamtha is just ok--hasty, doesn't follow instructions, and inconsistent. have stopped coming here after my eyebrows were botched beyond repair by her (it's been 6 weeks and I'm still waiting for them to grow back in fully). Avoid. Update, Dec 2019: Tried a couple of other threading places and was dissatisfied. Out of desperation, returned to Aarna as I trusted Anita to be meticulous and careful (and hasn't found this level of care elsewhere). Anita was busy, however, and Suman ended up doing my threading. She was equally fantastic. Very thorough, gentle, and precise. Upgrading my review to 5 stars--I'm back to being a regular customer again. read more
