She documented the experience so beautifully and naturally, capturing the real emotion, strength, tenderness, and details of our hospital birth in a documentary style that feels completely authentic. She captured moments I did not even realize were happening: the way my partner supported me, the emotion in the room, and the first moments of becoming a family. Beyond the photos, Phelicia's presence in the room was incredibly calming. You can tell she is not just a photographer, but someone with real birth experience. Her background in doula support and infant feeding/lactation work came through in the way she moved through the room: quiet, respectful, steady, and supportive. When we were facing some concerns about possible complications, she helped create a sense of calm without ever overstepping.
