The underwritten insurance was good when I needed them after storm damage. They pay quickly. But my issue is with Herman and his staff. My policy premium went up an an astounding 300% with only a letter following up shortly up after my mortgage escrow sent the check. My bank got the word faster than I did. I called Gooseheads main number and advised to cancel and reshop for lower premiums. Another agent did call me back with a better premium out of Dallas. I asked him when I could receive my refund. He said in about 2 weeks. I called and Herman's office and spoke to a licensed agent named Brandi there, and she was supposed to follow up with me. I asked for the reason of the policy increase as well as how long I could expect a cancellation refund. She told me that it should be issued with 2 weeks. Well, I called the insurance directly, since my money isn't here. I never received any phone calls back. Cypress stated that even though the insurance told them to cancel the policy, I needed to submit directly from my email address. If you ever need to speak anyone at this Goosehead location, you will be on hold for over half an hour. I've select multiple hours trying to receive my check from escrow back at just under $8k! If you value your time and money, look elsewhere!

This is what transpired: Due date for installment payment changed from 60 days to 10 days...WHA??? Result: They cancelled our policies of 7 years, without notice, and sent us a letter AFTERWARDS. Us: Holy crap, we've been driving without insurance for over 2 weeks? Let's call our agent. Them: We told you (no responsibility assumed on their part) and now we will be charging you a reinstatement fee AND the rates have gone up since your last bill. Us: Studied every line of our "New policies" and found several MAJOR errors in information. Called agent again. Them: The computer just spits this out, we have no knowledge of how or why this errors occurred, neither can we explain the logic behind any costs, its the "computer", not us. WHY THE HELL DO WE HAVE AN AGENT, if they know nothing about what the computer calculates as info, rates, etc. Us: 6 weeks later we've gone through a series of 3 NEW and STILL incorrect policies and bills. More importantly, she was an advocate and advisor for me in making a decision.
