We sent a deposit with Venmo as requested by Robert. I received a call at around 8:40am on Saturday morning that did not leave a voice mail. I called and spoke to Robert who told me our crew was in Springfield and would be heading our way after they were done unloading. As the day unfolded the time tentatively changed to 1-2pm. I called a few more times in the afternoon and no one answered. I later got a text from Robert that stated "Let give them a call now sorry I have no service ". I never heard back until several hours later in the late afternoon. I received this text from Robert "We are truly sorry our guys can't make it to you on time today we was running behind and I was currently on the plane with no service. I can refund you your $20 to Venmo on Monday morning I can send it to your Apple Pay right now whichever one works best for you once again we are truly sorry!! " I requested a $20 deposit refund by Venmo on Monday morning. We never received a refund for the deposit. Unfortunately, we would not be able to recommend this company. Our experience was not good.

Robert & his team have done 3 moves for me and i was always pleased. This last move was extremely…read moredisappointing. I paid upfront for the move plus deposit, and he did not show up on the date of my move until 8pm. He told me he would rather come the following day to complete the move but I had a deadline of when I had to be out of the old apartment. He moved my beds that night and promised he would be back the next morning. He did not show up and didn't until a week later. Mind you, every day between then, he told me he was coming and then never showed. I am a single mother and I work hard for what I have. I decided to asked him for my money back so I could just find new movers and INSTEAD, he told me due to the many inconveniences my move would be fully refunded, and he would still complete my move. Upon completing, he told me a refund check was sent via mail because they have to have "corporate" write it off on taxes and had to do it this way. I know many people who run businesses and this is not true. Well, you guessed it, the check was not in the mail nor did it ever come. I have been reaching out daily and it never gets anywhere. He won't even send me AT LEAST the invoice I needed to claim that I paid upfront for my property manager, that would have solved it for me, but he didn't even provide the BARE MINIMUM. The only response I get is just, "I am contacting corporate". Let's be real, there is no corporate. The website he uses has a FAKE 800 number and there is no one else I can reach out to for help. HUGE RED FLAG. I would never trust this man again. After all the people I referred him to, its shameful. If you're looking for a move to be done on time and PROFESSIONALLY.. DO NOT choose MoveWise.

In fact according to Allied they are not responsible for anything Hillier does locally. They are the worst movers ever. They overcharge and I had four broken pieces of furniture. I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General of Illinois and will be seeing if there is anything to be done about this bait and switch game they play.

I loved my experience…read more I needed a last minute job done and they were able to get to me last minute. It was a local move within a few miles, but they were still amazing about it. I was not able to pack, and their packing service was perfect. None of my items were broken during transit and she taught me how to be thoughtful about packing in the future. Her service was so affordable I'll likely call her to pack me any time I move again. Overall I really appreciated my service. They were quick, professional, and clearly had some moving methods that helped them ensure my items were quickly moved without anything breaking in the process. Thanks for your help!!
