Everything from here is walkable no matter what direction you are hoping to go. We arrived late on a Thursday night due to extended flight delays and were anxious to get a shower and settled in. Alex checked us in and was more than accommodating in quickly getting this done for us. We headed up to our room and opened the door to someone sitting on the bed of the room we were supposed to stay in. We were clearly embarrassed, confused, and exhausted so we headed back downstairs to retrieve a different room. We were placed in the floor above and Alex apologized greatly. We didn't mind as long as we could get settled soon after. We entered the room and it was small and not really well lit. As I stated, there were no exterior windows - which was a little sad lol. Whatever, we decided to look past that and enjoy our experience in the city. The bed was comfortable and the amenities in the hotel were great, too. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was extremely kind. We utilized the rooftop bar area several times, which was awesome too! Highly recommend this room, but definitely ensure that you upgrade if an exterior view is important to you!

They try to give off that sexy, mysterious vibe, but as soon as you step into the room, the green ceiling, cheap fixtures and damask wallpaper give it away. The hotel is reasonably "affordable" for its location (near the Gothic Quarter and La Barceloneta), but definitely in a sketchy area. I highly advise walking outside the hotel at night, as you'll find the rough crowds your parents warned you about. The nearest metro station is about a 10-minute walk, and to get there, you have to cut through some of the sketchiest alleys. I booked through Expedia and was upgraded to a room with a view, a bottle of mini wine & an extra bottle of water. My amenities weren't so great from the moment I opened the door. Since my room was pretty high up, the room was stifling & those views were blocked by a stainless steel mesh. FYI: your room requires a key card at all times if you're trying to use electricity, which includes air conditioning. The shower initially felt luxurious--spacious with a giant waterfall head and solid water pressure--followed by lush bath towels, but that impression faded once I noticed the pockets of mold and grime in the corners. Sleeping was also a challenge since walls are thin and anytime the guests next to me entered their room, it sounded like someone was entering mine, which kept me paranoid and on high alert. Rooftop: the rooftop not only offers panoramic views of Barcelona, but also has a bar and pool, though hard to even suggest the pool is an amenity since it's more so for aesthetic than functionality. On the roof, it's not an open floor plan, so you'll have to walk around the building to get a full 360 view. For those who are height deficient such as myself: prepare for obstructed views because of the high railings (great for safety, but not so much for those under 5'3).

The location is fantastic--right in the heart of El Born and the Gothic Quarter, so you're surrounded by tons of charming shops, cozy bars, and great restaurants. It made for a fun and walkable last evening in the city. The hotel itself is stylish and well-kept, with a cool lobby that immediately sets a great tone. While the room was on the smaller side, it was comfortable and nicely appointed--perfect for a short stay. But the real scene-stealer is the rooftop bar. The views are incredible--easily one of the best rooftop experiences I had in Barcelona. Definitely grab a drink up there if you stay! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe of the hotel felt upscale without being stuffy. I had spent the previous week at a larger hotel in Eixample, which was great too--maybe a bit more central and spacious--but for a final night close to the Gothic Quarter and the airport, H10 Montcada was a great choice. The food is exactly what you expect. Polished, pricey, and honestly, part of the appeal is simply saying you're dining at Nobu in Spain. I've been to Nobu locations all over the world (humble brag, yes), so I know the formula, and the ambiance is on point as always. But my review isn't really about the food, it's about the service, because that's where things took a turn. We were treated terribly. From the moment we sat down, our table was practically invisible. We had to wave someone over just to get basic attention, and this wasn't because the restaurant was busy. It wasn't. What made it worse was watching our server be warm, friendly, and attentive to the tables around us... just not to us. The contrast was obvious and honestly uncomfortable. I won't call anyone out by name, but it felt targeted, and if this is how this person chooses to treat guests selectively, I doubt it was their first time. Regardless, Nobu Barcelona still shines in ambiance, setting, and its signature dishes. But at this particular location, the service truly dragged down what should've been a flawless experience. For a place known for its high standards, this was a disappointing blemish on an otherwise reliable brand. Great food, great vibe, but the service on our visit definitely cost them a five-star rating for a very, very costly meal.

There is a buffet breakfast but it costs extra money. The staff is friendly and understood our English well. Our hotel room faced a concrete wall so noise was not a problem. Room is decently sized, although there is no refrigerator. The only issue we had was our shower door was slightly tilted so it couldn't close all the way and some water would get out. This was evident by some water damage we noticed near the shower and that the some mold were starting to form on the ceiling. While this wasn't a big deal for us at the current state, it may be something the hotel would want to address before it becomes a larger problem. Overall this was a great hotel and we would definitely consider staying with them next time we come to Barcelona.

We should have paid more attention to the red flag of the hotel demanding payment 30 days in advance with absolutely no opportunity for refund if we changed our plans. We called ahead of time to clarify where we could park and unload our luggage at the hotel prior to parking our car. The person at reception told us to park in the street and bring our bags in and it would be no problem. Were nearly towed and advised by local police that the hotel had advised us incorrectly as there is no parking in front of the hotel. We did happen to watch several taxis, pull up and onto the curb in order to unload/load customers. Access to the hotel from any vehicle is problematic. Once inside the front door of the hotel there is no ramp inside and you have to carry your bags down about five steps; the lift next to the stairs was not available. The lobby of the hotel did not exactly look as it did on the website. The furniture and finishes are worn and any promises of a wine bar or fake bottles on the wall and a few bottles on ice at the reception. We were checked in relatively quickly, and given our room keys. We proceeded to the room, which we found to be worn, very small, and lacking many amenities. Yes, there is air-conditioning and a safe and a blow dryer. There is cable TV with about handful of Spanish only channels. Configuration of the room is rather odd with the shower being placed in what we guess was formally a closet on one side of the entryway. There is a small water closet in its own room on the other side of the entryway. There is not much room beyond the perimeter of the bed. There are no luggage racks or even a desk/chair, and we ended up using one of our nightstands to accommodate our bags. The sheet on the bed was stained, the remote control was in pieces, and we could not get the window closed. Buffet consists of ham, cheese, a few fruits, and all the carbs you want. Very disappointed with the offerings at the breakfast buffet here. We ordered a taxi for an appointment we had the next morning. We were assured that this would be addressed and it clearly was not. We ended up going to the nearest intersection and luckily made our appointment just in time. While everyone was very nice at the hotel, there was no attempt by anyone to go above and beyond and we were stuck with substandard accommodations without losing our payment to change to another location. Overall, the hotel was disappointing, their website and previous reviews are very misleading. Avoid this hotel as location is just not worth it

We requested either a room upgrade or a night credit to reflect the inconvenience, but were told the manager wouldn't be available until our checkout day. That means during the weekend there is no one present to take care of potential problems with the rooms. We were offered a lateral move to an identical room, which seemed like it solved their problem rather than ours. If you stay here, be prepared that maintenance issues may not be resolved quickly, and compensation for significant room problems may be limited. The location is nice, but we'd recommend clarifying their damage and compensation policy before booking. UPDATE: We were able to talk to the manager over the phone. The 'deal' that was given to us: they won't charge us for the final night if we check out a night early. That's right. Leave early and we won't charge you for services we do not provide. How thoughtful.

The location was convenient, around 15 minute walk from Plaza de Cataluña and Las Ramblas. And nearby some nice restaurants like Cu Cut and Teleferic. The two minuses were the Wi-Fi which I had to reset 6-7X per day just to get the connection to work. Also, the overactive cleaning person would just open my door w/o knocking at 9am every morning. Not great for jetlagged travelers, so make sure to deploy that 'Do Not Disturb' sign accordingly. Unlike some other reviews, I stayed on the 3rd floor and did NOT notice any funky hallway smells. Hotel Granados 83 is also highly rated on TripAdvisor and for good reason. Would recommend this spot for those staying in Barcelona.

The rooftop is big with pool, bar and a number of seating areas for a 360 view of the city. Relaxing place to sit with a drink. Spa in basement is nice with all amenities. You have to reserve use and it's capped at 30 mins. Rooms are decent size allowing for suitcases and still moving around room. Bathroom is clean and has everything needed including heated towel rack and bidet. Although robes weren't included we found some at spa we used for the remainder of our trip. Lobby is very spacious and comfy, and there is live music in Thur-Sun. Great place to relax with a drink after exploring all day. Breakfast was extensive and a nice start to each day. Included made to order as well as plenty of ready made options for all palettes. The Not as Good We reserved both a superior and classic room but couldn't tell the difference for an additional 130 euros. The front desk said the superior had "more light." Potentially but not sure that was described as difference for what we paid. The rooms lack power outlets. Nothing by bedside. USB by desk but no USB-C or Int'l plugs. We had phones plugged in behind chairs, tea kettle sitting on floor, laptop in bathroom... The subway is underneath the hotel and even though we're on the 4th floor it was loud with lots of vibration. We had Do Not Disturb on for our entire trip but staff entered regardless and made up room. Not a big deal but surprised us and meant we had to put our belongings away every time we left not knowing who would enter when. Overall it was a pleasant stay and we would come back but many hotels we passed by looked like good options as well.

Once I walked into the room, there were a dozen long-stemmed roses, champagne, and chocolate cake! The room was very nice and looked out to the street. Our package also included breakfast each morning and the hotel also has a rooftop restaurant as well as a spa. I definitely felt pampered durning our stay.
