This place was our hands-down favorite, a perfect combination of charm, convenience and friendliness. We arrived in town without reservations, and the only hotel was booked. They recommended Copperfield House around the corner. The upstairs room was perfect, with a modern hotel-like bathroom and comfortable beds. The dining room was elegant with a great garden view, and breakfast was superb. Josephine offered to get up quite early on Sunday morning to make us breakfast on our last day as we had to drive to Dublin to catch the flight home. We'd recommend this place to anyone.

We've been in Carrick for three weeks, staying nearby, and walk to the hotel's restaurant nearly every day for tea, coffee, scones, and sometimes for lunch or dinner. The Carraig has the best wi-fi internet we've found in the town, giving us a chance to remain in touch with home in the U.S. The staff here is the best, friendly, helpful. They're open from about 8 AM until late, and can pull a really nice pint (or half-pint if you prefer) of Guinness, as well as a selection of other beverages. We haven't had occasion to use the hotel facilities, but no doubt they'll measure up to the downstairs. Thanks to all the staff for providing a home away from home.

The B&B is set on a…read morehill overlooking a quaint village with a single row of brightly colored cottages leading through idyllic fields (there is even a white horse leisurely living in the field below). From the small back deck you can look over this town all the way to the high cliffs that drop into the ocean, creating picturesque views of the orange, red and pink sunset. We arrived to a small sign personally welcoming us. Niall and Darra treated us like family while we stayed at their house and even dined at their table. They were personally acquainted with the entire area and gave us honest recommendations for spending our days there. We were able to see the Cliffs without crowds because of their directions. We then had the perfect dinner of local food at Roadford House where we walked along stonewalls past cows, horses, and sheep to the intimate dining room overlooking pastures. We ended the night by enjoying local music at O'Connor's Pub just a minute walk from the Sea View. We would highly recommend staying at the Sea View for at least a few nights on your trip to Ireland.
