I went into their offices and had what I thought was a very positive and motivating meeting with two recruiters who promised to work hard to get me some job opportunities... 6 months later after emailing and leaving several voicemails after never hearing anything back, I receive a phone call about a job opportunity for the very first time since my initial meeting. Luckily I didn't stick around and rely on them for anything and landed a job on my own. 2019: In need of some assistance in landing a job aligned with my degree and and professional experience since moving to Portland, I reached out to 24 Seven in the hopes that my negative experience at a different location wouldn't reflect on the rest of the company. I had a promising phone interview with a recruiter at their Portland office and was told I'd receive additional information within 24 hrs and of course 3 days later I received nothing. I tried contacting the recruiter to follow up and I heard nothing back from her. It's now been almost around 6 weeks since my phone call. Yet again 24 Seven has proved to be highly unprofessional and unreliable. I've worked with other recruiters in my life and never have had this level of unprofessionalism. NEVER contacting them again. Three stars because this service can be useful for the right person, but not a high rating because…read morein my experience it's not very good. I did the "first-step" interview two years ago and so I haven't had to go down to the actual office thankfully since then. If you don't fight downtown traffic and go to the first interview you can't use the services. The first interview is unprofessional, done in a room full of multiple other interviewees, and is basically so the company know you have a face. They don't really listen to what you're saying but it confirms you have a body. You set up their version of a resume through the website and use it to apply to various jobs. Once you apply it takes about a month to review it to see if they will do a phone interview. This turnaround time is ridiculous and an eternity for someone looking for a job. If you make it past the phone interview they pass on the result to the actual company to see if you make it to a real interview with an actual company employee. Considering the game of telephone and how information gets changed I don't see how this gives a good view of the candidate. The whole point of this employment agency is to help college graduates find entry level jobs and opportunities but it works like any other interview. If you're not an exact match there are no jobs for you and it is no different than just applying directly with a company along with all the other candidates not using this service.
