Our 90 year old mother wanted to stay in her home, but she was on round the clock oxygen and unable to get around. She wanted independence, but still needed help with many of her daily activities. Abbott Care helped us keep our mother at home and they worked with us to create a flexible schedule to give her some time to herself. They had excellent aides at her home to greet her every morning upon waking. The aides made sure she had everything she needed. They prepared her breakfast, gave her daily medication, cleaned her house, got her cleaned up and dressed and would even wash and set her hair, which she loved. In the evening, an aide would arrive to make her dinner, spend some time chatting with her and provide companionship. The aide would get her ready for bed, make her a snack and make sure she was settled down for the night. The staff at Abbott were also great to work with. They always communicated with us about our mother's daily routine, her health and needs. We felt fortunate to have such good people looking after our mother when we could not be with her. read more

My wife became disabled after cancer treatment. She was unable to get around without a wheelchair. She needed help with most daily activities. We contracted with Abbott Care about 3 years ago. The aides were superb, they did more then just take care of my wife's needs. They really cared for her and me. They even helped with house keeping. Abbott's office staff was always available to handle any change in requirements or scheduling. I had aides for 4 hours a day, that's all insurance would pay for. But on occasion I needed 24/7 courage. For example I had surgery and was told not to lift anything for several days. I called the office and Ally and Jim got the coverage set up. We called AbbottCare in Avon, MA before moving my Mom from Florida to our home in Massachusetts. We had only a few weeks to coordinate care and made many calls. However, AbbottCare was the one that came through for us despite HHC shortages in the area. The nurse Anna "Maria" that AbbottCare sent was amazing, professional, and nurturing to my Mom. She went above and beyond to assist Mom's needs six days a week. We were fortunate to have this incredible care for three months until Mom passed away. I was introduced to Abbott Care from a connection at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. Glad they did. The experience has been extremely positive. My husband and I both met with the director, Mark and we went over expectations and went from there. It took a little bit of time but it was worth the wait. Most of the delay was paperwork issues with the long term care carrier but Mark was on top it all. We now have a caregiver in place, Christina, and she is fabulous. Great match for my husband. I have nothing but excellent things to say about this company and the people they employ. Setting up home care can be difficult but everyone from Mark, who walked us through the process to Alli, who set up the schedule to the actual caregivers (especially Matilda and Julian who were literally angels) displayed genuine concern with a high level of professionalism.
