Let's face it - Westport is not a fun place to be a pedestrian. Beach taxi provides a decent alternative while you're in town and the bus system has failed you for the evening. Good, reliable service - and not too expensive if you're traveling within the city of Westport itself. Bear in mind that Beach Taxi *is* a mom-and-pop operation. One gentleman runs the only taxi, so you may have to wait up to fifteen minutes from your call time. Also, the driver has a slight slur to his speech. While this is a little off-putting when you first call him, I have used his taxi services several times and can vouch for him, well, not being drunk. He's actually a pretty nice guy. Anyway! Yes, it is possible to get around Westport at night if you have a few extra clams at your disposal.

Drivers on both ways were friendly and helpful. It was not a cheap trip but I knew taking a regular taxi would be too. The driver on the way back let me take a brief detour to hit an ATM in Federal Way so I could pay the fare and give him a tip, which was appreciated since you are not wise to bring a ton of money with you to a hospital. I also appreciated that on the trip up they were aware of traffic piling up around JBLM so the driver took a backroad route that got us in to Tacoma via the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and saved at least a half hour of time. The one down side is that they are cash only for the long trips so you have to plan ahead. At least on the long trips like this they don't mind a quick stop if needed. Great drivers and great service.

My son's gf had a tracker on her phone so she tracked it and found that the taxi driver had tossed her things out of the taxi after he drove down the road away from the comfort inn. We asked the front desk of our hotel for taxi options, and after the first 2 taxi companies fell through Quality Taxi came to the rescue! We called and the driver answered on the first ring. He was able to pick us up from our hotel within 30 minutes, and got us to the rental car agency the next town over for about half of what Uber had been quoting us for the same ride. The driver was friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and we could not have had a better experience. Definitely give them a call for a ride!
