I went to ABC dental. The doctor there was nothing but nice and courteous the entire time he was working on me he was not rough or mean or violent in anyway when he was working on my oral extractions. The dentist removed 18 and a half teeth from inside of my mouth and then when I was having issues with the stitches and stuff after I got home he had no problem telling me to come back in and let me take a look at him to make sure you were not bleeding. When I was able to get back into the dentist to see him that same day about the excess bleeding in my mouth I was greeted right away by the helpful and courteous greeters escorted me right back into the dental chair I waited for approximately 2 to 3 minutes and he was right there to help me out and say no everything's fine just hold down more pressure on it and the bleeding will stop and he was correct by the time I had gotten home which is a 45 minute drive the bleeding had stopped in my mouth and it was not access or anything he took the time out to be courteous about this and did not talk down to me at all actually made sure that I understood what was to be expected through this process. And days later approximately 3 weeks and 3 days later I had notice something abnormal inside of my mouth during the healing process so I made a quick phone call to him because right at the bottom of the instruction pamphlet he gives you when he extracted your teeth it straight says if you feel that there is anything wrong with the healing process do not wait until your next appointment call and see him as soon as possible. so I called this morning at approximately 10:30 this morning he's receptionist when it hasn't said okay no problem he'll see you today would would you like to come in this morning or this afternoon whichever is good for you and the doctor will see you so I picked as soon as possible and that I was leaving then once I got there 45 minutes later as I had mentioned earlier it's a 45 minute drive from my house to the dental clinic I had gotten there I waited approximately 15 to 25 minutes of standard waiting time for any doctor facility and was led to his chair and in exam room and was seen by the doctor approximately 3 minutes later when he looked at my mouth is you need to rinse a little bit further and more thoroughly because this is food particles in the crevices of where your teeth used to be and then he was like did you get it baby toothbrush and make sure that you're massaging your gums if you don't got one of those use a clean finger. The dentist at ABC dental is one of the best dentist I have been to he made me feel very comfortable and at ease from the moment that I walked into his establishment yeah it's a little small but that just makes it a little bit more personal. I am still in the process of getting my dentures and my next appointment that I have after the one that I had today about my gums looking funny and him telling me everything was okay and what I needed to do to make it even better will be this coming up a couple months down the line. ABC dental is the best dentist that I have been to in my 45 years of existence I will recommend to all of my family and friends and anybody that I hear by word of mouth looking for a dentist. I don't understand what happened to these other commenters but I had a tooth pulled about a month ago and he didn't break my jaw like the guy in the fancy dentist building of Silverdale. He was done in about 25 deep breaths. Wanted me to count them and relax. I was so happy cause it was a wisdom tooth. Honestly let me explain something to you guys. He is the ONLY, and I mean ONLY person who accepts that insurance and people come from Poulsbo, Port Townsend, Port Angeles, Olympia, and it's one guy working on everybody. I honestly don't know why people think he should have a bigger building, he have like 6-8 chairs in the back. He don't do it for the money because honestly he won't make a huge cut of a 300 dollar bill. Maybe 30 bucks. He's a nice guy and yeah, it can be a little rough at times on your teeth, but I can't see him intentionally hurting you. The women in the front know what they're doing. They are friendly as they let me come in 2 hours prior to my appointment cause I dropped in earlier due to forgetting my time. No long wait. But can be around a hour or two cause it's one guy doing his job to completion cause he won't rush you out half done. I hate reading these comments because they are probably making people in need of care turn away and stay with the pain. I would recommend him to a friend. Not worried about the front space when you're going to be in a seat anyways. I think that in time he should upgrade the building or relocate to a larger place but it's quite fine. Didn't seem dirty to me, nothing screamed get to me on my visits. First off you DO NOT want to go to this dentist. If u have dshs insurance and he injured you please report him to dshs so he will lose his contract with them . I went there in june 2014 .I had a 5 min teeth cleaning by H.Barakhshan. ive never had the dentist clean my teeth always a hygienist. He was very rough and in a hurry to move on . He said my insur would not pay to do root canal lets pull it or pay around $6000 to fix. He said I had cavities make an appointment to come back so I did . My next appointment for the fillings I waited hrs and had to make him numb me again. He didn't have a assistant , he chokes me with the water , he was very aggressive, my gums were bleeding . He left a hole in one of the teeth he filled it wasnt there before. When he was done I almost ran out of there. Feeling my teeth with my tongue he left sharp edges and points on the three teeth he filled. My jaw dose not close right now and my teeth all hurt and ear too .I did go back a third time because of the pain and sharp edges. He very aggressively took a piece of sandpaper like dental floss and sanded down my teeth .he ripped apart my gums.and its hard to fit everything in .but the best part . I got up very angry he followed me out tell me not to come back, oh I want I said and flipped him off. He cussed me out and said he was gonna call the cops on me for flipping him off . Just because he is the only dentist to take dshs doesn't mean he can do this to people.I wish I had never went there I have to find a dentist to fix what H.Barakhshan, d.d.s did to me. read more

I am a repeat patient, and am completely thankful that this office exists! They are the only dentist that accepts DSHS medical, so they are busy! All these people that complain about wait times are delusional with their expectations. It is small, but well kept and sanitary. Dr. Barakshan does speak English, rather well I must say. He'll crack jokes and be sure you are comfortable before proceeding. He does not deal with druggies, though. And mind you, TONS of people come in there only looking for drug prescriptions. My last visit, in fact, was a perfect example. This gal sitting directly behind me, from what I easily overheard, had her tooth pulled yesterday afternoon, and ran out of her 15 vicodin he prescribed her, and was back for more. She had also gone to a doctor that morning for some, too! I would understand if the Dr. got grumpy, when I've overheard quite a few disgruntled people literally only there for drugs. Yet, he has never been rude or rough with me. And he has been pleasant and helpful to many more patients that I've witnessed. I have been to Abc Dental 6 times now, and have always been pleased with the results. Their staff is friendly and trained. I recommend coming to this office. read more

I see some negative reviews for this place, however, my experience was a bit different. I had to have a tooth pulled (no insurance) and it was a spur of the moment type situation. Extreme pain that honestly, as a man, made me feel like a weakling. But we all know tooth pain is no joke. I raced in there, was able to be seen within 15-20 minutes. There's a lady there, blonde hair but I can't remember her name, she made me feel so comfortable and even held my hand as I was getting my tooth pulled. It was my first time getting one pulled and I was terrified, but in extreme pain so it had to be done. She really made me feel like she cared and understood what I was going through. I'm half tempted to buy her a gift and bring it in to her one of these days just to say thanks. Tooth came out, no problems. The dentist there is very direct, no BS kinda guy and he tells it like it is. I think that turns some people off, but the truth hurts sometimes, right? Fee was fair for having no insurance and honestly, that day, I would have paid double for him to yank that tooth out! read more

Alright guys, listen up. I just wrote a huge review on ABC dental on google, but the doctor is so awesome, I'll write another one here. Long story short, Dr. H. Barakhshan is a pro. He was working on 15 people, so it took an hour to get started on my wisdom teeth. I was VERY EXTREMELY nervous going here; the building isn't easy to find, the office is cozy, the girl at the desk was very kind (and cute) and the dentist did his job great. The reason this place gets 5 stars from me: 1: ABC Dental accepts DSHS insurance 2: The doctor was VERY direct with his information. Very easy to understand, and clarify (if you're hard of hearing like me haha) 3: Doc said "Take 60 deep breaths and this will all be over", it took 64 deep breaths, but still WOW, fast work doc. 4: He is VERY nice. I mean, this guy was gettin SWAMPED with patients, but he stayed very calm, and very professional the entire time. For a medicaid dental office in Bremerton, this is BY FAR the best one to go to in the Kitsap County. read more

This is a busy dental office with hard working and professional staff. Most of the patients have limited insurance (if any at all) and seem to be in pain with serious dental problems. Its very, very busy and the staff never gets a break. They treated me with kindness, helped me with my insurance problems, and I would definately recommend them. I love Dr. Barakhsan. He works fast, is gentle, and has a kind bedside manner. Now this is not a fancy dental office. This is not the place to go if you are looking for drugs and painkillers. If you are uncomfortable with low income patients and busy overworked staff, this is also not the place for you. This is a dental office working in the trenches providing emergency dental to those denied elsewhere. That to me is true missionary work and what ABC Dental provides this community. read more

I have had a broken tooth for 9 months. It was so painful. I called a lot of local dentists and was so happy when I found Dr. Barakhshan accepts Apple Health, the State Health Care plan. The office was full and I was surprised at how quickly and efficiently he cared for each patient. The staff were kind and warm and he was very skilled. He numbed my mouth and when he removed my tooth, I was not sure if he was done. I had my extraction yesterday and after the initial pain, which is expected, I feel really good today. I took 800 mg of ibuprofen, which I had at home yesterday and applied ice all day, like he suggested and then today I took 400 mg of ibuprofen this morning. Best dental experience of my life!!! I had an infected tooth that needed to be pulled, so I went to the dentist I'd used years earlier. I was told they could do it. In five weeks! I was in excruciating pain! So, I came to ABC Dental. I was in, examined, tooth extracted, & out the door in one hour! Plus, this was the first time in my life that I felt no pain at the dentist. I had explained that it always took a lot to numb me & was assured they could handle it. The dentist kept checking for when I'd had enough novacaine & didn't start til I was ready. Absolutely no pain! Going to the dentist is never fun but this was the best dental experience of my life! I'm coming here for all my future dental needs & will tell all of my friends, family, & coworkers to do so, as well. read more

I went to see Dr. Barakhshan to get needed dental work as they take the DSHS insurance. He was very friendly and patient with me as he went over the work needed with me. I ended up having 4 teeth pulled and there was no pain from it. I didn't even need pain medication afterwards. The doctor was very easy to understand and helped talk me through the discomfort of getting a mold made of my mouth as I needed dentures as well. I have highly recommended him to both of my children as well as my friends. I would also feel comfortable in recommending him to anyone who is in need of a dentist. read more

Just talked to them on the phone and as always they deny the truth and the girl at the desk acts like she knows what that terrible old dentist does. We tried to get them to mail a form of my account to me so I can go to another dentist and she said she could only email it. First time patient there and they took really good care of me. I had to get my top teeth pulled because of an infection in my gum and they made sure I didn't feel a thing and even walked me through the whole procedure as they were doing it. read more
