This place is an absolute disappointment. The two-hour lesson was essentially a two-hour observation with NO instruction, despite the fact that there were a LOT of areas for improvement, especially related to safety. We chose an instructor who spoke Spanish so that language wouldn't be an issue for our au pair driver, but Alex didn't speak Spanish well enough to actually conduct the lesson in Spanish, so that was a total waste. The "instructor" commented that the au pair is a safe driver and didn't require anything other than additional practice. This was not an accurate assessment, and lesson ended up being a complete waste of time given the lack of instruction. When I called the school to provide this feedback, they said there was nothing they could do for me because I hadn't called sooner. Very unprofessional and unfortunate that they do not stand behind their service. read more

I chose ABC for my child's driver's training because of its 5 star rating on YELP. My child has had had 2 lessons from another driving school, but they are still very much a beginner. I was really disappointed in the report my child gave me after the lesson. It sounds as if very little instruction occurred and the instructor was very reactive. My child will not continue with ABC. I will not recommend this instructor. read more

We were very happy with ABC Driving School, specifically instructor Lorie. We had a new au pair who ended up being a rather poor driver (!) and were considering letting her go. Fortunately, after just one session with Lorie our au pair improved a lot. Lorie seemed very experienced and had a good understanding of what foreign drivers need to understand about US driving. We set up a total of 3 sessions and our au pair just got her license on the first try. Our au pair felt very comfortable with Lorie and I appreciated that Lorie was willing to talk to me on the phone to check in and give me her assessment of our au pair's driving when we were initially deciding if the situation was salvageable. We will definitely use Lorie again should we get another au pair. read more

Highly recommend David and Rocky. My daughter always came back from her 2 hour lessons very happy. She said they were very calm and super nice explaining both her strong points and areas she needed to work on driving with my husband and I. A few days before her test, she couldn't find the certificate of completion they gave her at the end of her last lesson. I called them in a panic since her driving lesson was the next day. They were very understanding and offered to supply another one. Thankfully, shortly after the call, she found it. They're very responsive. They were always on time and flexible as to pick up points. This was a really terrible experience for me. The instructors timing, pace and smell were intolerable. The cars breaks were squeaky and I didn't leave feeling like I gained any real knowledge or skills... I'm 29 and I went to this driving school to practice how to parallel park and to get on and off the freeway. After making stops in residential for an hour and a half with the instructor railing in my ear repetitively to stop way before I needed to and then very pushily tell me to gas and stop againg every time he decided to open his mouth. If he just kept quite I would make the stop perfectly. He used the phrase "absolute fail" so many times I couldn't tell if he was describing something I was doing or something he was rambling about in between shouting brake and gas. Apparently the instructor didn't think I was ready so after I asked him to instruct me for the last half hour on parallel parking as I asked he got very quite and took me back to the office a half hour early and asked me for his money after handing me pamphlets I could of printed out or picked up at the DMV myself. All in all this wasn't worth 150 dollars. So I call for a refund and a few days later speak to the owner who after speaking with him he says he is t going to give me a refund (of course). Obviously this upsets me. But this guy has the balls to analyze me and say that I have an attitude problem and problems in my life. Great buisiness tact. In my line of work you just give the customer free shit and avoid a problem. Honestly when I first showed up to office and smelled my big fat instructors (David Wolfe) cologne and heard him mumble talk I asked if I could reschedule and the secretary in a very unpleasant tone told me for the first time that I couldn't reschedule. This is a very shady business set up and I recommended somewhere else. read more

I wish I'm able to give no star. The instructor who took my child for driving lesson came 25 minutes late, took her to places to run her own earrings, left her in the car and went to the bank and to the fire department. Brought her back 25 minutes earlier than her time. I called to talk to someone they said they would follow up and no one did. I called again they were giving excuses then they hung up the phone. There is no manager or supervisor to talk to. Don't use them, they are not professional. read more

Look elsewhere. There have got to be better driving schools than this. EVERY one of our appointments was cancelled or moved including the last session just before the drivers test, forcing us to transfer to another school and move the DMV appointment. I tried to be understanding with the scheduling issues but there was no willingness to help us meet the DMV appointment date, just lengthy excuses. I highly recommend you check other schools if you are interested in reliability and perhaps a better customer experience. read more

STAY AWAY. I recommend everyone to stay away from these weirdos. My daughter was doing her first lesson and said that while driving the instructor was unzipping his pants as if he was going to pee. He could've asked to pull over somewhere and a bathroom but didn't. Luckily she got home safe and told us about it. His name is David Wolf. There is a strong urine smell in their vehicle. We called the police and reported the incident. Caring parents if you don't want your kids to be traumatized please keep your children away from these people. read more

My daughter took her first 2 hour lesson with David on Friday evening. She was understandably nervous about driving with a stranger. When David arrived he was lovely. Both my daughter and I felt comfortable immediately. Off they went for their 2 hour adventure. When she returned she was excited about how much she had learned! David took her on her first freeway foray, which I had previously refused to do She felt like he was a wealth of knowledge, not just navigating the roads, but also for navigating DMV when it comes time for her license test. The folks at ABC Driving School helped shepherd both of my daughters through the driving process and prepared me for all we needed for the DMV. Lorie Frost was an amazing instructor. She was cheerful, positive, encouraging, and patient and I quickly learned I could entrust her with my girls' safety. She worked with each girl (they have very different personalities) in a way that worked for each of them. She helped them overcome their fears and gain confidence in a short amount of time. Horrible customer service and clearly no effort to ensure that your driver will be able to take all 3 of their lessons with the same driver. They do not have their students best interest at heart. Understandably, COVID has thrown everyone for a loop. However, once they began rescheduling, their was no outreach from them to schedule future lessons or to ensure that their loyal customers had any priority. Worst part was having to leave several messages to finally receive a call back from a rude and disorganized person ("C" their receptionist who apparently said she was new at the job...not an excuse to be rude). Her, "we've been busy and are backed up...this is the best we can do" is far from customer service friendly. I do not recommend. read more

I'm surprised by some of the really bad experiences and reviews for ABC Driving School. That is unfortunate. Our experience with this school was quite excellent. First, the office was always very accommodating. They were not the most responsive on email, but they did always pick-up the phone and/or return phone messages. Very friendly, as well. Second, they are extremely organized compared to their local peers. I now have experience with multiple driving schools (for multiple kids), and ABC was easily the most organized and efficient, walking us all the way through the process, up to the actual behind-the-wheel-test (what to prepare, what to bring, what to expect, and timelines to consider...along with documentation for our own reference and records.) Finally, and most important by far, our instructor (David) was FANTASTIC. He taught my son solid driving skills, making him a respectful and confident driver. He was patient and helpful, always on time (or early) and really cares. He even took a few phone calls/text messages from me on when I had some questions or scheduling concerns, truly above and beyond. My son passed his driving test on the first try "with flying colors" as the tester remarked. If I had more kids to send to driving school, these guys would be my go-to choice! read more

I had a great experience with ABC, in particular, my instructor Lorie Frost!! I highly recommend requesting her if possible. I have been out of driving practice for the last 6 years and needed some practice. I called ABC and was originally sold because they had the lowest rates out of all the other schools I spoke with. ($170/2 hour lesson). My instructor Lorie was on time, incredibly informative and patient. Her instruction allowed me to learn and practice without feeling nervous or stressed out. She was incredibly kind and it was very clear that she was passionate about her job, loved to teach kids (has extensive experience as a school teacher as well**), was highly engaged the entire time, and extremely educated when it comes to driving and the laws. I can't speak for all of the instructors, but if you use ABC, I highly highly recommend requesting Lorie, if possible. I finished one lesson and felt confident to begin driving again.
