When I called to ask about prices for a wine the two older women I spoke with were extremely short. Now maybe they had many customers in front of them. But I would not know that unless they mentioned it. Anyway I was given a price of $11.99 which was a good price. Well I get to the store. I ask a guy who works there about the wine I was looking for and instead of saying "I don't know the answer." he gives me the wrong answer. I almost start heading back to downtown to the winery but the traffic was crazy. So I pull over and look up the wine online. The guy should have said, "I don't know." instead of giving me bad information. So I paid for the wine which ended up being $1 more than I was quoted but the guy at the register was also cranky because I was so frustrated with the entire situation of stupid. Well I did calm down but this is the last time I will ever go back there. I would rather go to Walmart which I absolutely dislike and I would never spend a nickel at Broudy's because he could give two tosses about St Augustine except for all the money he will be making. So if I really need alcohol or wine there is a drive in store by the Winn Dixie which is totally out of my way but they might have more intelligent and nicer staff. read more

I was about 15 minutes away when I made the order, and I literally drove from where I was to the ABC Fine Wine went in showed my ID and was out in less than two minutes. It's an ABC store. It's brand new and is slated to replace the King St store and the store on A1A at 312. If I didn't know better, I'd think I was in the Ponte Vedra store. They have the usual selection of liquor, wine and beer by the bottle...plus some other cool stuff. If you care to taste a selected group of wines (it appeared to be 6 wines) or liquor (it appeared to be 4 bottles covering rum, vodka, whiskey, and gin). But the main reason I popped in was to check out the Growler station. Unfortunately it was not active yet. There is a board over the station with a list of beers on-tap. It looked like a nice selection of locals. In addition they offer cigars in a nice walk-in humidor, and wine and cheese in a couple of chill cases. There is a grand opening scheduled for 2/28/19 from 6-8PM. There will be more tastings than just the bottles in the tasting machines. Tickets must be purchased which entitle you to a 10% discount on your purchase that day. This place is tha joint! New store with that new car smell. The interior design is top notch across the board. From the wine section to the walk in beer cooler, liquor and the walk in humidor. The staff was friendly as we helped each other look for the libations that we were looking for. With my trusty ABC card in my wallet the savings were a plenty. Incredibly rude staff. We came in on our first day of vacation to get few items. My sister accidentally dropped a cheap bottle of rum (less than $20). We apologized, offered to help clean up, and paid for the broken bottle. The older man and woman in the store were incredibly rude about the accident, never bothered to ask my sister if she was injured, and continued to lecture her about breaking the bottle. (We are both over 40, were sober and respectful, no lecture was necessary.) They were also rude to another shopper while we were trying to check out. We took our business elsewhere for the remainder of the stay (several hundred dollars per day for our family) and will never go back. I hope the staff get some training and learn to offer grace to shoppers if an honest mistake is made and the shoppers are TRYING to apologize and make the situation right. Man, they did a fantastic job on this new store- they took two locations from town and combined them to one, so it might be a longer drive for some folks who were used to the old locations, but I'd say this is worth the drive, by far the nicest liquor store in town. Fairly easy to get into from US1, and there's plenty of parking available. However if you want to leave and head south on US1 it might be an issue, since you will be stuck at the Chick-Fil-A / Home Depot light for a while. Traffic aside, this is a beautiful store, brand new, clean, well organized, and well stocked. GREAT beer selection including lots of craft and regional beers (Genny Cream? Whooooop, whooooooop!) Great selection of all other types of liquor and wine, with plenty of room to walk the aisles and check out the selections. Friendly and helpful staff can guide you to what you want. They even have a nice cheese cooler and decent cigar selection so you can enjoy your liquor with a little bit of fancy. Pretty good pricing on everything in the store, you can find an unbelievable selection, and friendly staff all in a clean and welcoming environment. Can't beat that! read more
