I've not tried the other languages and have no intention to at this school. $500 just to work through Spanishdict.com and Easy Spanish Step-by-Step by Barbara Bregstein. Those particular resources are great, but, even as a beginner, I don't need an overpriced tutor to hold my hand while I use them. I had expected him (my tutor), or the school in general, to have had their own unique curriculum. This place seemed so fancy. Make no mistake, I'm not insulting language teachers who find the mentioned resources useful - I'm just referring to this school specifically. Half a thousand for a handful of mediocre classes is basically robbery. So embarrassing. read more

I took weekly online beginner Spanish lessons with Angel for 8 months and I couldn't recommend him more. His classes were fun, engaging, and he never let you take yourself too seriously when you got something wrong. I had to stop for personal reasons, but I plan to take classes from him again! Classes are great. Just enough size, 3-6 students. Tatiana is very good at her job as a language teacher. Students are angaged and they return to class everytime. Participaiton is very high and we motivated each other. When I try to recall a phrase, I would always think about how Tatiana would say it so that I can copy. Retention is very high the way ABC language/Tatiana does it. The only improvement needed would be availability of more classes. My day ends at 7pm, so like a 7.30/8pm class would be ideal. read more

I'm determined to become fluent in Spanish, and from the moment I started classes with Angel Haya at ABC languages I knew this was the place to be. Angel is patient, and always ready to help in any way. Our class size is quite small, making it less intimidating. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with ABC languages and my Arabic teacher Joseph. Joseph is an accomplished academic and very knowledgeable about the Arabic (and English) language, and he makes classes fun and engaging. I have been taking classes with Joseph for over a year and I don't intend to stop. He's a gem of a person and is excellent at adjusting his style to students' needs. I can't recommend ABC languages enough. The staff is responsive, friendly, and accommodating, especially Alice. Communication, Professionalism, Quality, Value I took beginners' Arabic I and II with Joseph who is an extremely knowledgeable, patient, and attentive teacher. We used the Mastering Arabic textbook, but it was Joseph's lessons that really stuck. He explained the reasoning and nuances between letters and language rules. He also made the classes very personal, but understanding why we were interested in learning the language and then made lessons personally relevant to the students. Joseph was very knowledgeable about the language and culture, and most of all he was patient with us as new learners. He was always prepared, recapping the last lesson, reviewing homework, then moving on to the new material. The online classes are well-run, on time, and visual. I would happily take more classes with Joseph; he was an amazing teacher and every session is delightful. read more
