Faustino and Reuben and the rest of the crew were so attentive to the changes and requests that I made throughout the process. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to have Rain gutters or their house painted. I suspected that my best price would be outside of Santa Barbara, and these guys had THE BEST PRICE! They are from Oxnard, and perhaps because they are in house, their pricing was way better??? I don't know. But I took a chance on them and they not only delivered the best price, they delivered great work! Ours was a tricky project: an old Victorian in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, designated as an historic, "of merit home"... whoever bid on this project would have more hoops to go through before they could begin the work. Jose patiently took care of the permitting process, (I did have to get involved a couple of times as the city planning department is difficult to work with), but once we got the permit, Avila roofing got down to business like the pros they are! We had 6 layers of roofing material, yes, 6! I don't think they'd ever seen so many layers. The demo process was a lot more arduous and time consuming than they had initially anticipated. No matter, they did not complain. They took on the job and they were going to deliver. It took them a good week to demo, and then the repairs started: replacing old and rotten wood with new ones, installing insulation where needed, and when problems arose, (like when they found a bee hive with over 30,000 bees, they waited for us to clear the problem) before they progressed. No complaints. I'm under construction at the house, so there were a bunch of other debris... they worked around the mess, and at the end of each day, they cleaned up before they left. Huge thank you for that! Try them out, I've been in the construction business for a long time. I don't mess around with fancy names and marketing. The quote I got was the best price for the amount of good reviews they had. Jon is very responsive, did not make (too much) fun of my silly questions, and overall great to work with. They were very up front with the cost and what additional costs might be incurred during the job. That is scary to hear, but they did not find too many areas of concern and only had to replace a few pieces. It was communicated and I agreed upon it before they did any additional work or added any cost. They were too nice and did not even ask me to move my vehicles (I did before their scheduled arrival, which they were on time for). They worked tirelessly throughout the day and were respectful of the property. Nothing was damaged and they cleaned before leaving each day. There was a bit of misunderstanding that Salvador did not know he was supposed to do the small section attached to the house as well, but they happily came out again a few days later. This just makes me feel that much more comfortable that they would be responsive if there are any other issues I may encounter in the future. Only time will tell how well it will hold up.
