I saw her when I was 19 and had barely been in Colorado a year. Suddenly last week, I get a bill via text for $17.75. I tried to call to find out why. The local person, who magically answered the phone for a change, told me to call an 888 number. I got through to a person who didn't speak enough English to explain anything. And, while I was on the call, the bill suddenly jumped to $46.14! The person in billing refused to send me to a supervisor, and eventually told me to call the local office again. I've called back the local manager 3 times since plus emailed her, to no avail. The portal is completely useless. If you press the link to more information, it just takes you to a sign up to pay online! No itemization, no history, no actual bill. I called billing again this morning and was on hold for over 40 minutes when I hung up. I then called my insurance billing and went to their portal, where I saw multiple entries for this stupid company. The person at the insurance company and I have been on hold with Lincare (the parent company) this time so far for nearly an hour! Even on the line that the insurance company uses, they are not picking up. According to insurance, I should have been paying $25.63/month based on what they submitted! What the hell?? I have other things to do today, but because the Lincare hold recording is so loud, I can't even communicated with the insurance guy now. I like the equipment they have, but hell, their billing is completely messed up. If you haven't started with a medical supply company yet, stay away from this one. They started out great, as I've said before. But whatever Lincare has done to Preferred, it's completely ruined them. Even the insurance company can't get anyone to talk to us!
