I have been so excited to write this glowing review for the DJ services provided by Richard! Richard was phenomenal! First and foremost I feel like he was very thorough when we went over all the details over the phone ahead of the wedding. His DJ booth was able to show our engagement photos during the wedding as a slide show, but it also played music videos during open dance, which we all thought was so cool! I feel that he executed all of my requests to perfection, mind you I had certain songs starting and stopping at very particular times down to the second (I'm a bit of a perfectionist). Richard was not just your typical DJ hype man (which he absolutely was), but went above and beyond! Richard was the first person to hand me a signature cocktail from the bar and checked in to see if we needed anything as the night went on. He was also the guy that held up the bubble machine over his head so the photographers could get the desired shots for our bubble photo exit. Richard was there the entire night either playing a supportive role or playing music to get people on the dance floor. We had many compliments from guests about the music and how well everything flowed from event to event throughout the night. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Richard and honestly wish I had more needs for a DJ. Because we enjoyed our experience so much, we will definitely try to find celebrations we could have DJ service for in the future. 110% recommend and would use again! read more

had zero experience with Wedding Planning or knowledge of vendors. I used a Wedding site to select based on what I was looking for and or knowledge of the venue. We had an awesome experience with Abell DJ Company. The initial virtual meeting had all of our questions answered and the online platform for setting up the day as well as adding information around requested songs, timelines, and wants around the music, lighting, and photo booth was so easy to navigate. Chris was immediately responsive in all the pre-planning stages and made sure everything was in order during the final call. As is probably typical for a Wedding Day, things fell behind and Chris coordinated with the Day of Coordinator and they worked together to adjust throughout the day. All of my specific instructions were respected and followed. The music was on point, and my favorite part was the DJ screen that played some videos during songs. Watching the little kids dancing and enchanted by the videos was precious. Chris made suggestions to help the day flow and everyone had an amazing time. We would absolutely recommend to hire as well as use again if we ever had another event that needed a DJ. The photo booth was also a lot of fun and the guests appreciated it! It was a great way to "gift" something to the guests that they could take home and enjoy versus giving gifts that would immediately go in the trash. First off, Abell DJ company was great to work with. When I interviewed them as a potential DJ for our wedding I spoke with Chris Abell directly and he was very thorough in his questions, and receptive to what we were looking for. He sent emails every so often to help us along with the planning process and to remind us of our deadlines, which was great since there's a lot of things to remember when wedding planning! The website planning tool was easy to use and was actually really helpful in helping us plan how the night should go with the suggestions. Second, DJ Sean was nothing short of AMAZING. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely request him! Our initial phone interview with him was great, he had us laughing but was very professional and at that point we could already tell he was going to make our special night great. Sean was fun, upbeat, professional, and easy going. On the planning tool [we] made an error on how our wedding party was to be announced into our reception. DJ Sean came to speak with us before the announcement to double check the order of announcement and we realized we made the error. He was super easy going and understanding and corrected everything the way we wanted it with no issues. It's true what they say when you hear that a DJ can make or break your night.... Richard was our DJ and I could never be able to recommend him enough. If you are reading this and you are a bride I'm begging you to book with this company and Richard specifically. He saved my wedding day and did so much more than just DJ. When it started to rain during my photos I started to panic and he was right there with a drink in hand and words of encouragement. He held an umbrella over our photographers head the whole time so she wouldn't mess up her camera. My husband was having trouble holding the train of my dress and he helped him out and carried it too. He was like a built in groomsmen! He offered to help in anyway he could. Not only that but the dance floor was amazing! He played all our request, kept the dance floor going without making the guest feel obligated. The guest complimented the music and how fun it was and even my mom was out there busting a move. It was so much fun and just the perfect music. I truly can't explain how much this man did for us but I would book him all over again in a heart beat! He also snapped a few pictures of us with the photographer and put them on the cover of the DJ booth. Our guest could see sneak peaks from that were just taken. It was wonderful!! read more

Chris blew our expectations out of the park. I wasn't expecting much when looking for a DJ other than somebody who knew some good music suggestions for our reception and who would provide some good energy. I was amazed at his professionalism, eagerness to help, quick responsiveness when I asked questions, and the little details he paid attention to. He made some great music suggestions that aligned with our personal tastes and preferences, and he also gave me feedback from past experiences on things I was questioning (such as the bridal party dance and dollar dance). I appreciated his honesty! He came up to us during our wedding and personally thanked us for choosing him, and when we got home from our honeymoon we had a hand-written thank you card from him with PICTURES that he took at our wedding (one of our first dance, and a few of our reception decor). I thought this was a sweet touch, and the fact that he went above and beyond like this truly shows his passion for building relationships with and providing great experiences for his customers. Look no further. You want this company and all they have to offer. Planning-Their tool was easy to use and helpful if you have no idea where to start/what you need to cover music for everything. Chris was so quick to respond and helpful with every question i had, even ones i thought were probably stupid to ask. Dj-We were blessed with Richard. Fun to work with, brought the vibes, and went above and beyond getting a few pictures of us to display on his Dj stand. Everyone cried when they noticed them. He even helped us play a prank on my sister/MoH that was against a song we thought would be fun for the ceremony and did a "sound check" with it. It backfired, she loved it. Photo Booth - So worth it. Our venue had one that didn't have printouts and no attendant. We had Sara & printouts through Abell. There was ALWAYS people at it and she kept that line moving. We got a link to all the pictures the next morning. We enjoyed our venue but Richard and Sara brought the fun experience for everyone that really made the night epic. We had Aaron for our wedding he helped make it our best day ever! Aaron was very professional ensuring he was prepared and on the same page with us during our pre-wedding meeting and the website portal was extremely helpful in conveying our desires. I'm not sure how much experience he has had with 600+ guest weddings with large wedding parties but he navigated it all very well. Aaron's talents were really on display in keeping the dance floor going all night over the long open dance period. He gauged the "vibe" and played the perfect songs to keep the party going. I would also like to commend him for being extremely professional and flexible while working with us and the photo/video crew as we had to alter some timing on the fly and utilize his equipment to play the "same day edit" video. Sean was absolutely amazing. I was sick right before my wedding and he was great about working with me with last minute changes. He went above and beyond what a DJ has to do. He was very kind to my husband's grandpa who married us and made sure he had everything he needed. He checked in on me and the party and offered to help with anything we needed.
