First glance, it's ... basic but I do have to admit the materials do put this above your average spot. I do find the store to be open... like OPEN. I would even dare say the store is under utilized because there is a lot of space and sparse inventory on the racks. Everything is in the basic black and white. Nothing is eye catching and I'm not sure if it's meant to be that way. I often find the store empty all the time. So yes... basic fashions. Simple, functional, and well made. There are lots of flowy lines in the women's side. It strongly reminds me of a paired down simplier aesthetic compared to Club Monaco. You won't find heavy materials or pin tucks. Size way, it's generous ... maybe they grow them bigger in Vancouver but even the slimmer cuts are very generous on me. Most lengths hit mid calf which is odd looking for someone who is short (like me). Service is quiet but helpful. I dont think they actually approach or look at you till you need help. When you do, they're willing to step it up and find what you need. Price wise, this is where it excels better than Club Monaco. You get nicer materials and wear of these pieces for better pricing. Also, I'm happier to support a Canadian brand. For me personally, I dont think the style is quite mine but if I'm ever needing some good casual clothes, I would be willing to step into this store.

I found the selection of maternity and non-maternity stuff that works for maternity to be excellent. They have lots of different brands and styles and carry basics up to more fancy stuff, although I didn't really find good work stuff. It's not cheap so you have to go in expecting that you're going to drop some serious cash here, but the sale section does help. There's parking nearby across the street off of Scrivener Square.
