I cannot say enough good things about this company. I had 2 gates that were not working. I called the company that installed one if the gates 3 years ago to repair. They told me the gate was out of warranty and I needed a new panel for $1700. The also quoted me $3800 for the second gate as it was too old and no parts were available. I got a second bid from another local company with the same answer. Not satisfied that they were correct I called Aberdeen. After ordering a part and adjusting the secondgate my total bill was $287. A wonderful company with the best customer service. They are ready and quick to help with even the smallest issues with my gate. I had a connection problem and was unable to close my gate and they were here with it fixed before noon after I explained I had to be gone all day and hated having the home unsecured. I thought working with Aberdeen Gate would be a great experience especially because of the price $$$$ that we were paying for a custom gate, but was I wrong! On the first day, when Jeff showed up to fill the gate post hole with concrete and install the gate anchor system, he didn't bring enough concrete and had to leave to get more. He left his teenage assistant behind to rinse the mud off of my grass around the post hole. The assistant ended up filling the partially concrete filled hole with a bunch of water that made the concrete so wet that when the post plate and anchors were set on top of the concrete they started to sink, so Jeff placed two wooden 1x3's and an empty concrete bag under the anchor system so it wouldn't sink into the soupy concrete mess!! Real professional!! When our gate was finally delivered, we were really excited, but much to our dismay, the gate would NOT open all the way to clear the driveway because the gate was hitting the gate post!! You would think that Jeff would have tested and made adjustments at the shop before bringing the gate to our house? Also, the paint job was horrible!!! I mentioned this to Jeff and he said to me "if you tell me that's a sh**ty paint job, I'll hit you!" So I told him, that's a sh**ty paint job! He didn't hit me but he said that he could do two things. He could sand the gate down at my house and repaint it there, or "take the Fu**er" back to the shop, sand blast it and repaint it. I told him to take it and fix it. A week later when Jeff returned to my house, he said that he had two apologies to make. First, for losing his temper and cussing at me, and second, that he had sold my gate to someone else and did not want me as a customer. (Jeff told me that he thought I had OCD and was confrontational). He gave me two options, one was to pay him about $700 more (I had already given Jeff a deposit) for the gate opener system that was installed when the gate showed up at my house the first time and the other work that was already done (no gate), OR he could take the opener system off of my fence and leave me with a post, gate opener sensor and a CROOKED keypad post (no keypad, just post) and he would give me $1288 refund. WOW, what great options! There was no way that I was going to give Aberdeen Gate any more money, so I took the refund. I don't know if Jeff realized that he was going to lose money on this job because of the repaint, or what, but anyway I have now spent $1200 and am left with a gate post, a CROOKED keypad post, and a gate opener sensor buried along my driveway AND NO GATE!!! Great Job Aberdeen Gate!!!! Thanks for nothing!! Gate buyer beware!!! Don't ask for quality work or you might get told that you have OCD and get dropped!!! read more

I absolutely got what I wanted and it came out more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. This company stands behind their product. My gate has never broken in 2 years. I took his recommendations on locks and lights and his stone guys were in and out in a flash. Landscaping guys were even easy to work with. If you want the whole package hire Aberdeen. Aberdeen installed a new gate opening mechanism at our house in Nov/Dec. The service person's name was Frankie and he did a great job including digging a trench for the electrical. About a week ago, when I got home from work, I discovered that someone had left a package at our gate that got stuck and caused an obstruction. This caused the gate alarm to go off. I tried everything I could think of to shut it off but no luck. My husband was not home and the alarm is really loud so I was worried about it disturbing the neighbors. Taking a chance, I reached out to Frankie. I still had his cell phone from when he did the installation. Not only did he answer the phone but he said he would come right over and shut it off.
