Amongst others things, a few perks that come along with the job is travel. Sometimes it's a big city with a great night life and sometimes it's a small city with great hole in the wall restaurants. Thank God for the hole in the walls...lol Abe's Grill is a stable in Selmer, TN. Known mostly for their breakfast items and their famous biscuits. After eating there two days in a row I can clearly understand why they're famous. The biscuits were fresh, fluffy, and full of flavor. The staff was friendly and ordering was easy. I suggest getting there early to avoid the wait.

Awesome breakfast and burger joint! Family owned and run. Very friendly and interesting southern folks. We had steakburgers and fries, fresh cut and local meat, delicious! Great ice tea, not too sweet. You will be missing out if you don't stop here. Closes at 2pm.

Wow! I was in town for a few days. Decided to try this place it for breakfast...it will not be my last time. The service was great, the staff (all family) was friendly and the food was fantastic! The breakfast platter came with a choice of meat, 2 biscuits and gravy plus 2 eggs and coffee. All for only $8. All of it was fantastic!

When we go to Mississippi to visit family, this is one the places we always have to go to. Bot only is the food great BUT Abe sells his seasonings.... and let me tell you...his Italian Seasoning is amazing. I load up on it everytime we go. It's worth a detour if you're remotely in the area

I've been eating at Abe's Grill for about 10 years. I love their breakfast and Lunch. There's steak sandwich and fresh cut fries for lunch are wonderful we also love the pancakes and you must have a fresh cookie before you leave.

Breakfast the old school way. Burgers hot and juicy. Be sure you get a fried cookie! Take cash, no machines for debit cards

I eat here every time I stay in Corinth. The best breakfast in the south is at Abe's. Nobody beats their biscuits!!

The barbecue nachos are flour, tortilla chips and not corn. They were over fried and the chunks of barbecue were too big to fit on the chip. This was some of the worst barbecue I've had in a long time and maybe ever. There was zero Char on the ribs. They tasted almost like they had been steamed or something. They were wet but not sauce, just with what seems like steam. The dry rub seasoning was basically just wet goo. Regardless, the fact that half of them were probably around 48° makes it impossible to enjoy them. I still don't understand how this is possible. The atmosphere is fine, though it's a tiny restaurant. The service is uneventful. There were only two tables, including ours that had customer at it. Our server was sitting in the corner with her boyfriend the whole time hanging out with him and she would just get up occasionally and check on us. She had no personality. There's a 0% chance I would ever give this restaurant another chance. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. It's completely obvious that there is zero supervision or management this restaurant.

For years…read morethis was pretty much a local BBQ stop but I was surprised to see it is now a full blown breakfast and lunch stop. Our breakfast was really good. The scrambled eggs were done to perfection, grits were great and the biscuits were first class- and HUGE. Everyone in town comments on the size of their biscuits and I would have to agree. We also tried a Philly cheese steak omelet which was delicious. Good to see a local restaurant doing well under trying circumstances and serving up great food. A new addition will add some welcome dining space to a pretty cramped seating area when it opens in a couple of weeks.

A server came over after we sat down. She was kind and helpful, a home style cooking menu with a daily special white board. After giving the menu a read and the board a look-over I opted for the daily special. Chicken and rice, with sides of baked beans, potato salad and cornbread. It was okay, very basic. The baked beans tasted like out of a can. The cornbread was just okay. The chicken and rice was pretty bland, basic and lacked any real flavor depth. The potato salad was the best thing on my plate. The meal was pretty lackluster and basic, kind of a disappointment after seeing all the high marks on reviews. 3 Stars it served its purpose 01289
