Contracted through American Home Shield. Sump pump not working. The claim was denied because the…read moresump lever was trapped against the side of the sump causing it to burn out. I explained that the pump was moved by myself trying to determine why the pump wasn't working. Claim was denied. I authorized repair to be done which was $450.00, unless paying by cash $400.00. The new sump was installed with a modification to the sump discharge pipe which included a flex. The tech failed to tighten the clamps on the flex. The next heavy rain, which was only a few days later, the flex came loose and water flooded the basement. I tightened the clamps and "Abra Cadabra" the flex held.
