I was a patient of Abigail for over a year and was previously happy with her treatment, however I will not be returning after my last visit with her after she made some ridiculous comments. I undoubtedly discovered she had discussed my name with another patient of hers who had malicious intentions, which is a serious patient privacy HIPAA violation! Also I discovered that she had contacted some of my other doctors behind my back regarding her "concerns", which were completely false and 100% based on hearsay from this other patent of hers. This caused me all kinds of issues and confusion with some of my other doctors, especially regarding medication. This all happened immediately after my final visit with Abigail. She will undermine your other doctor's forms of treatment, even your primary care doctor or a specialist. She will only agree with her own approach, even in medical areas she has no knowledge about (surgeons, neurologists, etc.) She will try to undermine just about every other doctor that you have seen for any reason. She will even dig into you about past records from 5 years ago that are completely irrelevant to your visit, no joke! She will interrogate you as if you are trying to lie if she doesn't like your response. She will literally Google something in front of you if she doesn't know the answer, and then will make a decision based on that. Very unprofessional. She will go as far as to say your other doctors are "stupid", or something along those lines if she does not personally agree with their form of treatment. Abigail was VERY condescending and unprofessional, and in my opinion should not be practicing medicine in this fashion, especially in regards to her comments that imply that other doctors do not know how to properly treat patients and for violating HIPAA and being sneaky about it! read more

I have been seeing a psychiatrist since I was in middle school, in the course of these decades of doctors I have seen more than my fair share. Doctor Isakson tops my list. She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and for the first time I feel like I am being heard. She doesn't just fall back on whatever meds are popular, she does research and runs tests and looks for the root of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms on the surface. She is also knowledable about and open to natural options. Above all, she is concerned about my well being. She makes herself available when you need her, her staff actually knows what they are doing and she has a beautiful office. Never have I felt so comfortable and at home with a doctor. We went to Dr. Isakson for well over a year, she saw my son for depression. Our visits started out okay but gradually got worse. BEWARE as Dr. Isakson was quick to give my son medication and on more than one occasion the wrong dosage was sent to the pharmacy as well as one script that was not meant for him at all!!!! Obviously we stopped going to see her, this was something she could have lost her license over, and maybe she should have! She is VERY unorganized. Although we went to her for well over a year, she would pull the wrong chart and address my son by the wrong name (this happened a few times), we had one visit where she never even found my sons chart, and many, many times where she disagreed with all sources of other information that we'd acquired (from other specialists and our primary care doctor... she was strong willed in her choices and only thought her opinions were of concern). Her office is extremely unprofessional and very unorganized. I am certain now (as we have been seeing a new doc for quite some time now), that Dr. Isakson never took the time to look through my sons chart and previous records nor did she take the time to get to know him or even follow up from our visits. My son was 11 at the time (a very delicate age, especially for being on medication). I would NOT recommend Dr. Isakson to anyone but especially not children. I cannot believe she is still in practice. We were very upset when my son received the wrong prescription and luckily we noticed the label before giving any of the medicine to my son. My mother went to this woman for help with her divorce. The Dr didn't seem to help her get better and keep her loving family. Instead she offered a diagnosis for me when she had never met me. That doesn't seem very professional or ethical. My mother got mad at me for still speaking with my father so she colluded with the Dr to send CPS to investigate me. Fortunately CPS is used to people using them for vengeance and they closed the inquiry with apologies. Unfortunately my children were questioned at school about things they had never heard of. Their innocence was stolen and my family was ripped apart. I just hope that I can spare at least 1 family the heartache and suffering that this woman caused. My mother still cries for 8 hours a day, almost a year after she left my father. I clearly can never allow her to see my children again. Dr. Isakson hurt her, she did not help her. She could have helped her take responsibility for her life and move on. Instead she helped her target family as an enemy and my children suffered. They came home from school and asked about sexual things from the CPS interview. Maybe the Dr was hoping to create future patients? It was horrible, a parents worst nightmare. You hear stories of loving, great parents being investigated because they let their kids walk somewhere or they still dare to parent their children. Be careful around this Dr. She certainly didn't help anyone in my family. read more

I would not recommend this lady to anyone. Every time my child would have a appt with her, they would leave feeling bad about themself. More than once we had to wait 30 mins or more for our appt, the last time it was over an hour. So i decided to find a different Doctor and not long after we stopped seeing her we got a bill for close to 300.00. This was after i paid a copay every time it went in. Funny how it was never mentioned that i had any charges until after we stopped going. She is not a professional person. She yelled at her secretary in front of me and my child because she didn't measure their height correctly. read more

I had an awful experience with Dr. Isakson. She mis-diagnosed me within the first five minutes of meeting her. She also prescribed me with medication for six months that made me a different person and didn't help me at all. She values money and medication over proper treatment. I'm writing this to warn others that she is dangerous and you should do your research before seeing her. read more

Referring to the previous post: I'd like to remind people that there are at least two sides to every story, so keep an open mind. I was treated by this Dr. for over 4 years, and she helped me to get out of a deep depression and work through many issues from my childhood. She is a great listener, compassionate, and intelligent. My opinion stems from years of therapy with her, and the above post is from someone telling the story from a secondhand position. I would go to her again in a heartbeat, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a good therapist/psychiatrist. read more
