The minute we arrived I felt a sense of doom from the miserable looking receptionist, to the appalling decor of the tiny waiting area. The place is shabby, dated, dark, the horrible wooden benches reminded me of my school years 30 years ago. The place was empty, yet we waited and waited......staff passed us, looking down on the ground and miserable. An older man popped out, a vet, I guess, and he gave us a smile and my heart lifted!! After half an hour the next customer came in, and he went through straight away, and I asked when are we likely to be seen. The Scottish receptionist rudely pointed out that we were late. The vet was actually about to take us through, but the old crone told her the other man must go in as he will be quick!!!! Well 45 min later, we were finally called into the examining room. What a shock, the table was a small wooden altar like contraption. Oh my days, I've never seen such an antiquated set up and I've lived in several countries!! I never went back for kittie's check up......I'm about to bring them to a much better brighter place. I've never had issues with previous surgeries, but this place is truly the pits!

Since being referred in 2012, the practice have offered invaluable advise and support during some very emotional times whilst always keeping Ruby's well being the priority. They are always able to offer me a convenient appointment at the shortest notice as well as organising repeat medication when I have not planned ahead. On the occasions she has needed to stay overnight, I have been able to speak to someone at regular intervals who keeps me updated of her progress and puts my mind at rest that she is not only being looked after medically but is also being cared for too! It seems all to common that people only ever make time to pass negative comments rather than recognise those who are doing a great job on a daily basis. Thanks Again!

The Receptionist was very rude. She tried to sell me the unreasonable annual membership that I did…read morenot want. She wasn't happy with my answer. Then her tone of voice turned very rude straightaway afterwards. The place was newly renovated. However the waiting area is directly in the sun. It makes waiting unbearable in a hot sunny day. My appointment was 14:45, but we waited 35min with our cat at the sweaty hot waiting area before seeing the Vet in the end. The Receptionist siting at her shady desk entire time without inform the rest appointments about the time running late problem. Instead she explains to everyone when they arrive that 'it was only a little bit late'! Whist 3 customers sweating in the hot sunny waiting room! I have changed my vet straight after this disappointing appointment. I wish the vet could have a better Receptionist for the poor owners who have poor pets needs their help!

However, when our other cat walked over corrosive fluid, he cared for her for 6 weeks, bathing and bandaging her paws until she was fully recovered - it was a long and painful process but we got there in the end. I have recommened this surgery to others and would not hesitate to take my pets there in the future.

Now the practise itself is as welcoming as the staff. Andrew really knows his stuff and the animal's welfare is paramount for him. The charges have been reduced and they now do homeopathic remedies along with the medical ones. I would never trust my animals anywhere else!

I really love going to this place and so glad it's local, it's a great place to go on a sunny day…read moreand see what animals have been taken in to look after. The animals are very privileged to be taken there to be honest as it looks like they are given a lovely home and great care. It is also great to know that there's somewhere local you can go if you come across a wild animal in need which has happened to us twice before (unlucky I know). Just to walk around though for a day trip is quite special and all your money goes to this brilliant charity. And it's not just hedgehogs there either, we saw foxes, badgers and horses. A well recommended day trip.

Vets practice on Farnham road which alongside their standard practice offers 24 hour emergency…read morehelp. They were fantastic when we took one of our gerbils to them. They were equally fantastic when we called them in the small hours of the morning after witnessing a cat being run over, took the cat to the vets and they saw to it. They even gave us a courtesy call the next day to update us on the cat.
