Kind folks ( Joe) 50+ years of service. 1-2 day turn around to me for headliner cleaning and replacement. They close by 5pm so if they don't call you for pick up, reach out to Joe to see if the vehicle is ready... These folks do a lot of business depending on what time of year it is. I love the result and he told me to return if there's any issues... Ty Joe!!! I gave a 4 star only because I want to wait to see if the headliner stays put after a few months. Value was reasonable. Victor fit me in at 8AM when the shop opened. He matched the fabric on my 2004 Ford F-150 perfectly, repairing the worn-out seam where the driver slides in and out. Price was right and quality was perf. The shop is in a good industrial neighborhood, not sketchy but safe. I met the Bell Mitsubishi tech who told me his dealership sends all their work to Able Auto Upholstery. Turns out many dealers and body shops bid the jobs but send the work to Victor. Searching for a place to get my seat and console re-upholster since I'm tired of red duct taping them. It was either play MacGyver every other week or seek out a shop to fix them. Upon a recommendation by my mechanic I called Able Auto and spoke with Victor. I took the car to him on Friday. He taught me that my seats were not actually real leather but more of a vinyl. He offered me a price for both vinyl and leather and included options for each piece of the seat, console backrest and another seat edge. I could not believe how affordable his quote was. He told me if I brought it Monday that he could have it back to me on Thursday. After dropping it off Monday, Victor called me Tuesday to let me know that he had already completed the work. I normally don't do reviews but I was referred to these guys by my mechanics. Victor seems to be the guy that runs the show. Very friendly, transparent with job requirements and budget. These guys replaced my saggy ripped headliner even with a sunroof and lighting. Literally looks brand new. I cant imagine many upholstery businesses doing a job this thorough, and I figured the least I could do was write them this review. read more

After 2 years, the seat cover plastic retainer under the rear portion of the driver seat cushion broke off in my pick-up truck. I went to see the owner Joe and he said they were too busy to loo at the defect and to come back in about 6 weeks. When I called 6 weeks later (today) the owner Joe he said the work is only warrantied for one year and that I would have to pay labor to remove the seat and probably to replace the leather again to fix the faulty workmanship which he denied even after looking at the botched seat cover!!! I had the original seat material for over 20 years and this never happened. I took the vehicle to two other upholstery shops and both of them said that the material was cut too short for the seat cushion which was the reason for the broken retainer because of the pressure put upon it when sitting in the seat. The front retainer also came off but did not break. The owner denied the faulty replacement of the seat cover leather material and said "we've been doing this for 50 years". I don't care if they have been doing this for 150 years this job was simply poor, sloppy, careless workmanship. Also, they were very deceptive when I first purchased the leather material, unwilling to give me a price for the labor separately from the leather material. I bought extra material, (a roll of the leather) so the dye lot would match when the driver seat back needs to be replaced and the passenger seat too. Don't waste your money here and stay far away from this shop and the arrogant owner as they clearly don't care about the work that leaves their shop. Zero for customer service and zero for workmanship. read more

My car looks fantastic! Victor (Able Auto) was recommended to me to get my Lexus is250 car seat repaired. At only 65,000 miles, my driver seat was worn down to the green foam. Victor replaced the leather, including the perforated seat bottom (heated/cooled) and stained back. It looks fantastic! At last a repair experience that surpassed my expectations! Also, very quick - brought in my car on Monday and it was ready for pick up on Tuesday. And good value. Highly recommend. Note: the shop is now at 11025 N 23rd Drive.
