What a joke. Took me weeks innh beginning to even get a hold of anyone, then the oh had problems with my email l, phone messages were not saving...every excuse in he book. Started calling 3 weeks out from th date and finally able to speak with someone. Spoke with this young lady no less than 6 times over 3 weeks Trying to confirm we had a tank with the propane burner (we were having a clam bake and steaming about 2,000 clams). She said she was pretty sure but she would confirm with Daryl. Welp, day of delivery came and no tank. I called and Daryl said for that price did you really expect a tank. I was like, am I in the business? Do I know rental prices. I told him forget it. I would go buy a tank. He said no he would get one there early before 10 am. Tank showed up at 12:33 pm. Yup! Chairs were filthy and had to be sprayed off with a hose and all wiped down. Tent was not tight and had sections at 5 foot 5 my wife had to duck down to walk under. If it had rained we would have had a tent pooling water in 3 corners as they were terribly set. Daryl made the comment about the tank, if I get one there would I give him a good review. Now I see why. His business is deplorable. Worst rental company I have ever used. I would pay $400 more than what I paid for better service. Never again. Able Smith is horrible!!! read more

Renter beware! This company does not care about the quality of their products or the safety of your guests. Heavy winds partially blew our rented tent over, 2 days before our event. Multiple calls were made to the vendor with no resolution. Luckily my neighbor had a sledgehammer and was able to help us get it propped up enough to no longer pose a hazard to our guests. Some of the tables were warped and rusted. The owner was difficult to work with and came up with excuses instead of solutions. 0/10. Do NOT recommend. read more

This quite possibly be the worst place to rent any party supplies from. The tent had holes, was torn in spots and dirty with black mold. The tables were splintered with wood and metal sticking out. the chairs are filthy. They replaced the tent with another one with dirt and black mold minus the holes. They tore up my driveway putting holes in it and sticking the table legs into the blacktop. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

They have always been easy to work with and provided the services we have requested. No doubt the worst rental company in the area. Chairs and tables old rusted and needed power washing prior to the event (which was not done by the company. A portable restroom was delivered uncleaned had to do a deep bleach cleansing. Called to speak top owner did not come to phone the resectionist could care less about the matter owner has yet to return the call. Then took about a week to pick up their shit. Tent was dirty. we were charged for a 16x16 dance floor, which arrived during our rehearsal dinner. It was a 12x12, when asked and showed my receipt of the 16x16 dance floor & the amount charged I was told they don't even have a dance floor that size. I was told I would receive a refund for the dance floor mistake and now I am being dodged with no return calls or emails. They arrived extremely late with the tent, tables, and chairs. I was shorted 15 chairs and had no linens. We had to pick up the linens ourselves the morning of the wedding. When I called the emergency phone line the night prior I was told " you dont even put your linens on until the morning of anyways..." WOW!!!! I WILL DEFINITELY NOT SEND ANYONE TO THIS COMPANY EVER! Absolutely HORRENDOUS customer service. I paid a deposit on linens, tables, chairs & a port-a-potty WEEKS before my wedding. I called 2 days later to verify that we were all set/payment was received. The day before my wedding we went to pick up everything to set up our reception venue here in Syracuse before we drove to Verona for the night. We got there & a man outside loaded up the truck with my fiancé while I went inside to get the linens. I said I was there for a pickup and the woman pointed to a stack of linens and said "they're right there." I loaded the car with the linens & the man outside asked if he could double check my order to make sure I got everything. He realized a huge part of my order was missing and went inside to get the woman that works the desk, she came out & said they didn't have 8 of them & they were coming later today via UPS. I explained that I couldn't wait for them that we were on a time schedule to get this done before we left town & the man said that he would bring them to the venue for me as soon as they arrive. About an hour later I called to confirm how many linens I was waiting for and asked if they were delivered yet & the woman stated that they wouldn't be in until tomorrow... I told her that wasn't going to work & that I was going to be an hour away as it would be the morning of my wedding by the time the linens arrived (IF they arrived on time..) I asked why the man told me they were going to be there today if they weren't. She said she didn't know what to say, that they don't have their own linens they use a service & they were being overnighted and scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I asked her how that could be possible when I ordered them weeks ago. She finally admitted it was her error and that she was trying to correct her mistake. I'm happy she apologized and owned her mistake but I'm also a bride (during covid) less than 24 hrs until my wedding and half of my reception tables aren't set up and no one will be there to set it up for me the day of the wedding... the woman offered to come to the venue the next morning & set up the tables herself with the linens & do all of my centerpieces but I wasn't comfortable leaving the responsibility of our reception venue being put together and ready in the hands of someone who couldn't remember to order all of our linens in the first place. We immediately began calling every rental place in the Syracuse area trying to find someone that had linens the right length, in stock & ready to rent. Luckily we were able to find one but it cost us $100. When I called Able to let them know that we wouldn't need the linens anymore the woman stated that she "thought we had an understanding that she was going to bring them tmr" when I told her that there wasn't an agreement, that she told us we had no other option but to wait and we couldn't rely on a package coming through UPS during a pandemic to be here on time the day of our wedding. I told her that I would like a partial refund for the $53 that the linens cost us there and she said she would "have to talk to her boss to see what she could do because it cost them $200 to overnight them." I politely reminded the woman that the $200 cost was due to her error, not mine and that it would be unfair of her to try to hold us liable for that cost. Fast forward to Monday 9/14. I dropped off the linens & tables that we rented and asked her if she was able to process my refund. She stated that she was waiting for her boss to come in so she could talk to him about it. Meanwhile, the $600+ transaction had already been charged to our account. I asked her when the guys would be coming to pick up the portapotty and She stated they would be by later today or tomorrow morning. Tuesday 9/15. The portapotty is was still sitting in my lawn. Wednesday 9/16. The portapotty is still here. I called Able for that and to ask the status of my refund. The woman states the guys are "running behind" and will make sure they pick it up tonight in their rounds" And that she still "hasn't seen" her boss to ask about my refund.... Thursday 9/17. 9:30 at night 2 males in a truck show up and start dragging this portapotty through my yard and down my driveway along our vehicles and loading it on to the back of a truck in my front lawn. Friday 9/18, I call again & leave a message indicating 2 men came to pick the portapotty up late at night and wanted to make sure it was actually their guys, and also to ask the status of my refund. This message went unanswered. Able has lost my business and hopefully the business of anyone that reads this. This company makes boatloads of money every year (and was still booked out for weeks ahead of time on rentals during covid) yet can't do right by a customer after THEIR error. read more

NO CALL, NO SHOW DAY OF EVENT! Booked 20x40 tent, tables and chairs a month and a half before Graduation Party. $195 deposit check given day of booking. They cashed it 5 days later (this is important for the end of the story). Called 2 weeks before event to confirm and we were told all was set and they would be out 1 or 2 days before event (scheduled for Saturday) Friday, day before the event, I called around 10am to get a time that they were coming and they were not able to give a time estimate but assured me they would be there. Called again around 3pm and told them we needed to leave for Graduation at 4pm. I was told to put chairs out at the corners where we wanted tent. arrived home at 9pm night before event and NO TENT. Called the emergency contact number and spoke to the owner at 930pm. He said a worker got hurt and they fell behind (Never called to tell us). He asked what time the event was tomorrow and I told him noon he said they would be out first thing in the morning. I called the office that morning 10am and they said they would be out but still no time estimate. At the start of the event I HAD TO CALL THEM AGAIN and they said they might be able to be there by 130pm. I told them how furious I was and to cancel everything and refund my $195 deposit immediately. I then had to call all my neighbors and friends to scramble and bring whatever tables chairs and tents they could as guests were arriving on a 90 degree and sunny day. On my way to pick up tables the office called and said they had no record of a deposit! My already stressed out wife had to call Monday and show them the cleared check from the bank. The office told her they would send out a check that day. It is now a week and a half later they the money never arrived. I called again and no one knew anything and I had to go to the office and collect a check they lied about sending. Horrible Communication, Horrible organization skills, Dishonest. I cannot express how utterly unprofessional the management is. Wedding tent was scheduled to be delivered and set up Tuesday - they no called no showed. Had to call emergency number listed in their voicemail message to find out what the delivery plan was. The tent was still not completely set up and lighted by Saturday the day of the wedding. The bridal party had to string lights on their own. The dance floor was not hardwood finished as promised. Light strings were hung with multiple missing/broken bulbs. On August 3, 2018 my fiance and I paid them $227 dollars in full for delivery of 10 tables and 60 chairs for our engagement party on August 25, 2018. The agreement was that the equipment was to be dropped off at our house the day before the event. As the time got closer to our engagement party, we called a couple of days before to see what time we could expect the tables and chairs to be dropped off that Friday so my fiance could take the day off of work. We were told that they would not know the drivers drop off schedule until Friday morning and to call back then. We waited until Friday morning, and called the company. They told us they could not give us an exact time for drop off other than it would be later because we were the last drop off of the day. We waited until later that evening to call again when our tables did not arrive. We got an answering machine and a voicemail box that was full. Saturday morning the day of the party we started calling the company at 9am. My fiance and I both called multiple times and spoke to a representative named Larissa who kept stating that she could not tell us when the tables would be delivered because she had to contact the driver to find that out. When asked why our rental was already a day late, she did not provide an answer. Larissa never returned our multiple phone calls to find out where the tables and chairs were. Finally at 1130, we had an hour and a half until our party started, I called yet again. Larissa placed me on hold and spoke with the driver who then told me that they were a hour away from my house and would be there at 1230. With little other option, I said the tables and chairs will need to be here by 1230, our party starts at 1pm. 1230 came around and I received no tables and chairs, and no phone call from the company. At this point, I was already in a panic. My guests were arriving and no tables and chairs were at the party. We had to call multiple people and companies until we were able to find a local company to let us pick replacement chairs and tables up. My decorating for the engagement party was never finished in time, my food was never finished, and my guests had to sit in camp chairs until our replacements came 2 hours later. I left a voicemail on Sunday afternoon for Able Smith stating that I needed a call and a refund immediately monday morning because my rentals never came. I did not receive any phone call. By 1030 am monday morning (today) I called again and spoke to Larissa. She apologized for the ordeal but offered no explanation as to why I did not receive my services I paid for. She would not refund me my money and told me that the owner would have to do that and he cant be reached for possibly a couple of days because he is busy with the NYS fair. read more

If you feel like being overcharged and then being their storage facility when they don't pick up their items for weeks on end then this is the place for you! Don't do it. We had our wedding reception in September of this year and found an ad for able tents in the paper. I was excited because their prices seemed reasonable, so much so that we were able to get an additional tent in case we had more guests than we planned. We ordered 2 DIY tents, 7 tables, 70 chairs, "twinkle light" lighting, and sides for the tents, a grill, and a porta potty What a mistake. They dropped everything off a couple days in advance which was nice because we had time to set everything up. When everything arrived it was one nightmare after the next. One of the tents they sent over was blue. Grover blue. For a wedding. When we called they said they would send another one, which they did. Once we opened it and started setting it up it was massive compared to the other tent we ordered. We called them again and they said they were out of the size we rented but would "not charge us for the bigger size tent." That would have been fine, except now there wasn't enough siding to go around the tents, and they wouldn't provide more to cover the extra space that we didn't need...so it looked ridiculously stupid with patches of sides missing. Then came the best part. Parts of the tent were missing. Poles were missing from both tents. So much so that we had to anchor one tent to another just to get it to stand. The sides they sent us, the clips were broken, so they couldn't hang from the sides of the tent itself. We had to improvise and use zip ties to keep everything up, which again, looked absolutely ridiculous. The lighting, jesus. The lighting cost us $120 to rent. When I initially called the woman told me they were twinkle lights and I specifically asked if they were Christmas lights, she assured me they were not. When they arrived...there they were. 6 boxes of 99 cent Christmas lights that had been used previously and crammed back in the box. I immediately sent them back with the person who dropped them off and called to say we needed a refund because we were misled about the lights and that they wouldn't work for what we needed. The woman stated that she would give us a refund on the lights. I'll get to that later. The grill we rented didn't work. Not to mention is was rusty, dirty, and not cleaned properly after the last person who used it. Which we should have guessed, but didn't realize until the day of the actual reception. Thank god my father and father in law are handy because they were able to get it running after an hour of trying to fix it. The tables were probably the only thing that wasn't terrible. The chairs are split in places and we couldn't use 10 of them, so again, we had to improvise. I spent so much time crying and trying to fix their mistakes that I didn't have time to do anything else before the reception. I actually had to cancel my hair and makeup appointment, had someone else finish my favors and had to call in a bunch of my guests to help me fix things before the reception. It literally RUINED our big day. On top of that, we had to call for weeks to try to get our money back for the lights. It took us a dozen phone calls and threats of small claims court for them to finally refund the money. Do yourself a favor, don't even THINK about renting from this company. read more

Horrible! We rented a bounce house for my daughters 5th birthday party, as soon as it was unrolled all you could see was mud caked over the entire inside of it! My husband had to change his clothes and get inside and clean it before the kids arrived. They delivered an absolutely filthy tent covered in mud and grease for my wedding reception, when we called and asked if it was possible if it could be cleaned since people would be eating under it, they told us we would be brought new sides... however they hung them up backwards, two were too small for the size of the tent, we had and some that were missing clips so they hung down and folded over... one of the sides actually came unclipped and fell down. They had rust spots, holes dirt and duct tape all over them, no cleaner than the ones they were replacing..I called and was told I would receive a call back, two hours later my parents who were helping me set up also called and were told the same. I finally called again since we couldn't start setting up tables and decorations until they got here and was snapped at by the girl on the phone and was told "someone would be there" even though she couldn't tell me when. I originally had called at 11:30 am, we waited til 6pm and finally attempted to fix the sides ourselves...no one ever showed up to help rehang the sides. We were also charged more than $200 extra for a table skirt that didn't come with a table cloth (that we had asked for and didn't receive) or any way to hang it, no velcro or clips as well as hidden service fees they never told us about. Which is ironic since we had to fix and rehang the sides ourselves. Most of the chairs were dirty and covered in chewed gum. I wish that I read reviews prior to contacting them. They've been in the area for a long time and I have driven by countless times, so I didn't think much of it. Assumed they were reputable. Big mistake. I contacted them months in advance for a portable toilet and 6' grill, for my daughter's graduation party. No problems - put down a deposit and signed a contract. Decided to add a bubble machine after the fact. There was some back-and-forth as to whether the one they had worked. After some testing on their end, they confirmed that it worked, so I added it to the order. Everything seemed fine..... ... Until this past Saturday - the day of the party. The party started at 3. It was maybe 11:30 and they hadn't arrived or called yet, so I called them; not too worried at this point because it was still fairly early. I was told that "they had a problem with the truck last night, but don't worry, they'll be there tonight in plenty of time for the party TOMORROW." Ummm.... no, my party is TODAY. I knew right there it wasn't going to go well. She had some confusion in her voice and said she'd call me right back. About 40 minutes later, I hadn't heard back so I called again. Spoke to a different girl and filled her in on what was going on, reminding her that I needed the items there asap. Again, I was told they would call their manager and call me right back. Again, no phone call so I called back AGAIN. Spoke to the first girl again. She told me that the guys had the items on their truck and were headed in my direction. This was around 12:30 pm. I said "Ok, great. I need them here asap because I need to get the grill going and get the food started prior to people arriving at 3." I was told that they are aware of the start time and they will be there soon. Flash-forward to about 2:30. I tried to call them and at this point I get a machine because they closed at 2. It says to press 2 for order emergencies. I press 2, but am told that the mailbox is full. So, now they have not arrived and I have no way to contact anyone to find out where they are or if they are actually coming. Now, and I really panicking. I was forced to go to the two next-door neighbors houses and ask them to borrow their grills. They were both very gracious and let me borrow them. We quickly tried to pull everything together, as I had people filing in for the party. I had nothing ready, and I was running around like a crazy person, trying to get caught up so I could actually speak to my guests. I had to have friends help me with the grill and the food, because we were so far behind. I was mortified that it was so chaotic. Oh, and they didn't have the stupid bubble machine!! The truck finally showed up around 3:30. I sent them away. I already had two grills going, and I certainly wasn't going to have them wheel a toilet through the middle of the party. I waited until Monday at noon, to see if I would even get a phone call from them. Nothing. So, I called and really laid into them. Of course, that really didn't get me anywhere, other that a refund of my deposit. I asked for confirmation that the refund had been posted to my account, and was told that she'd send an email. Again, NOTHING. Not only did they not email me, but hey charged my card for the deposit again, and then had to go back in and refund both charges!!! I have no idea how this company is in business. I gave them so many opportunities to make it right along the way, and they failed every single time. I am SO glad that I rented the tent, tables and chairs from another company (Murphy's tents) They were great!!! So, buyer beware of this company. read more

I rented a 30x20 frame tent, fifty (50) white padded chairs, six (6) 8ft. tables and twelve (12) white tablecloths, for a function on Sunday June 9, 2019. Three men delivered my items on Saturday June 8, 2019.... Chairs: I ordered 50 and only 48 were delivered. 4 of the 48 chairs had ripped seats and all 48 of them were filthy and had mold and mildew on them. I called Able tent and the owner said he would have the guys take the chairs back and get me 50 different ones. Interestingly enough the guys said all the chairs would be the same. (This company's storage area has a dirt floor, is not climate controlled, has a leaky roof, etc.) I called the owner back and told him if he refunded me for a portion of the chairs I would keep them and power wash them myself. BAD IDEA! Two hours later I had power washed them and used mold and mildew remover and they were still not clean. I called the business back and left multiple messages and nobody returned my calls. Tables. All six (6) tables were FILTHY, lucky they were being covered with tablecloths. I still had to wipe them down and remove years worth of tape that was stuck to the tables from prior parties. Linens: The twelve (12) tablecloths come from a different vendor, so fortunately they were clean. However, I spent two hours ironing them just to make them presentable. Tent: The inside of the white tent was covered with mold and mildew, it took my husband almost three hours just to wipe down the flaps and a foot above the flaps, with mold and mildew remover. There were strings and ribbons still tied to the tent in numerous places from prior parties and the edges of the tent were fraying so badly that I had to cut the loose string off or my guests would have walked into them. When I called Able Tent today, June 10, 2019 the customer service was TERRIBLE. They did not even say, "I'm sorry" or "How can we make this right." I understand they provided a service, but I paid for that service ahead of time and they took advantage of that!! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY EVEN IF THEIR PROCES ARE LESS!!! read more

We had a reunion / wedding in Seneca Falls on July 4th. The tent, tables and chairs were delivered after 6pm on the 3rd but not after 3 calls from the delivery guys. We have FedEx and other companies delivering stuff all the time but these clowns couldn't find it. It's 7/17.. Everthing is STILL there. Just had a stressful call with another clown who refused to listen as we tried to explain how to get there. He insisted it didn't exist. OMG! If it didn't exist, then why is it STILL there. Tent and chairs were in very poor shape. Luckily it was for grad party, not sure what I would of done if for a wedding ! Delivery truck dropped hydraulic oil over our newly sealed driveway . Wish I had checked here before renting from them. Was charged $60 extra for white chairs because they didn't have regular chairs. Brought home the do-it-yourself kit and there was no rope on one corner of the tent. They finally sent someone with rope an hour and a half after I called. Tent was not in good shape. I was in a wedding this weekend in which they had paid for a tent, tables, chairs, and stage for the band. They were supposed to arrive between 1 and 4 on that Friday (even though it was like pulling teeth to even get a time frame from them). No one showed and we called several times. no answer and the voicemail was full. At almost 9 at night they called not the customer, but the venue, and was like oh we are running late. They showed up around midnight. One of the bridesmaid stayed up until almost 3 in the morning watching them set up the tent - even though she has a wedding to be in the next day. They did not even make the tent stable, the next day some of the guys had to redo several of the posts. They also did not set anything else up. We had to come extra early to set things up and then continue doing that after our hair and make up was done (which when you are paying people and they do a great job with your hair and make up and then you have to run around sweating trying to put stuff together - does not make for a happy bridal party). These are all things we were prepared to do and decorate the day before but instead we sat around wasting our time waiting for a company that could not even communicate with us. Also running around trying to get things set up I dropped a chair on my foot. Thankfully they are crappy chairs so they did not do much damage but I did bruise my foot. The tables were uneven and very old, some of the chairs were missing the pieces at the end so people had to sit crooked and the tent was very dirty. It was a very horrible experience. 110% would never reccomend. They will be extremely lucky if the bride and groom do not sue them for the price they paid plus all the labor and inconveniences. read more

This summer I rented a very large tent, 60 chairs and ten tables. After my party was told the company would pick up the equipment the following Monday (two days after the event). Long story short I called them after a week just to hear, "sorry our truck broke down." A week later with no call I followed up to hear, "sorry a driver got sick." I explained to them that the tent was huge and the 60 chairs and ten tables took up a considerable amount of space in my garage. As a courtesy could they take anything off my bill. Nope, can't, wont etc. Another week went by, another few phone calls and finally a driver came to pick up the equipment. Not once was there ever a courtesy call back to me despite multiple requests from a manager. I asked the driver if he knew anything of my request to which he responded, "sorry I'm just a driver." I called and left a message on their vm and haven't heard anything since. Bottom line I'm not looking for anything free and I'm not a cheap person. I rented from Able-Smith tent for my son's graduation party. I was so pleased with the person I spoke with initially. She was helpful and spent as much time as I needed to come up with the appropriate size tent for my needs. Also, I was so happy that I went to their store on Route 31 in Cicero because it was there that I saw other items to rent. Along with the tent I rented very large coolers for drinks which made it so easy for guests. They rent portable bathrooms! I received many compliments on how clean and roomy it was. Thank you to the staff in the office and the crew who set up everything. The tent and supplies were dropped off a day before the party and picked up the day after the party. We rented a photo booth for a surprise birthday party from Able Smith Tent. The photo booth arrived with information from another party printing on the photos and the video message. The employee did not know how to fix this, and it took an entire hour to change the photo message. The video message was never corrected. Promised in the contract is a jump drive of the recordings taken in the photo booth with birthday wishes from those who had their photo taken. It is 7 months later, and I do not have this jump drive. I have called multiple times, owner Darryl is never available and does not return calls. His employee actually stated to me that he will not return calls. I confronted Darryl at a bridal show in January about this - he promised to take care of it. He called two weeks later making an excuse that his shipment of jump drives was damaged and he would send it out as soon as the "new shipment" came in. That was over 3 months ago now, plus 9 unreturned phone calls, and still no jump drive. Save yourself a huge headache and DO NOT do business with this company. read more

When I went to this company to rent, I had heard it was not a good company to do business with. I needed a tent, tables, table covering, chairs, grill, fridge, and potty. This was the only company that's has all of it in one place and only charged one delivery fee. PS (That's the only good thing about this company) They do have a good price BUT keep in mind, nothing comes on time, you have to keep calling. The grill was clean but only 2 burners worked. It was missing a gasket on the end that goes into the propane tank so it leaked. (a driver that was following the truck to drop the potty, went to the hardware to get a gasket to fix the grill) They forgot to put chemical in the potty and our event was at night and there was no light in the potty. ( its will be 2 weeks on Friday that the potty was delivered and its still there.) The tent was dirty, I had a broken table, I paid for set up and I guess I didn't ask what was included in set up but only the tent was set up. We had to do tables and chairs. The table covering were clean, pressed and in plastic bags but the table skirt had been taken off of someone else's table, wadded up, staples and all and delivered to my daughters wedding. I spent a lot of time calling. Jen at the company in Cicero should find a different job. She was calm every time I had to talk to her. She tried to help but each time she talked to me it seemed to be a lie or a stretched truth. I really felt bad for her because she was the middle person dealing with the owner, delivery people, scheduling of product and the public that is PISSED because the info given at the time of rental was not even close to what was delivered. I, up front told them how I felt about the reviews, what I expected and I even paid in full 4 days before the event in hopes that they would do the right thing and take care of us. I trust that people and companies that are service providers will do what they say. I also am a service provider and if I treated the parents, staff, students the way this company has treated us and others, I would be out of work and living on the street. As much as saving money on rentals to use else ware in the wedding was my plan, If I had to do it again, I would take out a bigger loan and rent from several companies if necessary to get a better product, better service and a ton less stress. Do yourself a favor, don't rent from this company. If you don't really care if anything is correct, working or if it even comes, then this is the place for you. read more

If you are looking for tent call any other company not this one . They were the worst! The tent had holes and missing sides. We had to have it taken down and we called another tent company and had to demand a refund. The experience was very stressful and the customer service was horrible. read more

Unprofessional! Phone calls were not returned until I told employee I was going to call local news station. Owner, Daryle, was a complete jerk when I finally was able to speak with him. Had a contract with them and I wanted to use a coupon that was in a local magazine, they would not honor THEIR OWN COUPON!! When I called to complain about it, he said he was canceling my contract (2 days before event)! UNRELIABLE, BAD BUSINESS PERSON who has NO consideration for what keeps his company afloat... Able Smith is a dishonest outfit. They quoted me a price on the phone and charged my credit card $150 over that price. In addition, they delivered the tent at 9:00 pm, in the dark, and put up a red and white circus-striped tent. It was hideous. The chafing dishes I rented were dirty as well. Then they left the tent up for over a week. It took two phone calls to get them to come pick it up. I was told the owner would contact me about the over charge, but I never got a phone call. What a horrible place!!!! I can't believe Daryl can sleep at night knowing how poorly he treats his customers. My wedding was almost ruined by this place. Nothing was delivered or set up on time, coffee maker had rat poop in it, the lighting was not what I ordered, chairs were broken, tables were broken, the space heater did not work...after several phone calls back and forth we finally had everything ready for our wedding day. Then came the refund for all their mistakes. I'm not sure if Daryl is too scared to speak to people or if he does not care but he will not return phone calls, everything goes through whoever is working the desk. We had a different experience than the others listed here. Our party was on a Sunday and the tent, tables, and chairs were scheduled to be delivered on Saturday. Torrential rains all day Saturday and finally arrived around 6p..we had gotten a heads up call about a half hour before. My husband and son had planned to put the tent up themselves, but we still had a lot to do. I asked if we were their last stop, and they said they had 2 more after us. I said i was hoping they could set up the tent, but we had not scheduled for that. They told me they couldn't on Saturday but would come back 1st thing Sunday. They had the tent up by 10a Sunday. Very nice guys and we really appreciated their efforts with no notice. Tables and tent were fine, and the chairs weren't perfect but it was an outdoor graduation party. The chairs were sturdy, no problems with them. It all worked out well for us, and we appreciated Andrew and David helping us out. read more
