We had a blast here today at the petting zoo! The age range for our brood of kids was 4.5 years to 8 months and all the kids loved it. The goats and sheep were a huge hit! The kids loved feeding the animals, and it's just the right size for their short attention spans. We hung out for about 30-45 min and it was perfect. We'll definitely be coming back again! read more

Well this was our third year attending this event , the event is awesome and inexpensive you get to spend an half and hour on the nose with the bunnies and chicks which children and adults love . The negative part the people who have disregarded for other people property my father in law car was hit in the lot they need to mark clear spots or have more personal for the large crowds they expect. The staff look on their cameras said they see the guy hitting my father in-laws car but could not see the plate number , they also said the guy who hit the car got out and rub his had over the damage. This put a very bad taste in the event for us . Every year when attending the event we buy 100 of dollars of goods in their store, not this year ! Another big negative is they now are charging for the petting zoo , I under stand most people who come here in the past know it was free and we just had to pay for the crackers and feed which is not cheap . So charging three dollars per person over 2 is crazy ! Beside you have to buy the food to feed them still . Last time for us to this event or business. read more

My review is solely based on the wine tasting event we attended. This is a multi functional place, there is a farm, market, petting zoo and a birthday room. Inside the market is the wine tasting corner. You need to make an appointment for Saturday tastings. The two ladies are amazing (forgot their names) but they were very knowledgeable and patience with us. We had a living social coupon so we got a glass, a free bottle of wine and 20% off retail prices wine. There are over 40 bottles of wine avaible but you get to chose 5 wines and 1 cider to taste. It is a standing tasting corner with very little room to move do be cautious. The market has many fresh produce, fresh eggs, homemade pastries and quiche. They also have a section for pasta salad, macaroni salad and other assortment. They also see signs and homemade candles. It is a very kid friendly environment so don't be afraid to visit. read more

Seriously, some people have subpar expectations. This place is truly nothing to write home about. Me taking the drive...even reviewing this place is a waste of my time. Its an over heightened Farmer's Market. The produce is superly over priced; Tasty, but over priced. We went for Pumpkins, and left with none. Im noy paying $20+ for ugly, oval shaped, and/or bruised pumpkins. Come on, price gauging on pumpkins. The animals at the Petting Zoo, is in my opinion, the driving force behind people going there. The toddlers love it...but my dgt complained on how stinky they were lol. There are feed dispensers ($0.25), two porta potties, which were GROSS! And one outdoor porter sink, which SUCKED because you have to self pump. The absolute worse when trying to hold up your child with both hands, assist them washing their hands, AND PUMP FOR WATER WITH ONE FOOT/LEG, and you have a loooong line of ppl trying to cut each other. My suggestion, Bring Sanitizer!! On the UPSIDE, there's a little play area, but the immediate DOWNSIDE, you can only play in it if you are waiting for the Hayride (cost: $5/pp). This place just isn't cutting it for me. They definitely market very well in all the Baby Mags, but the money they spend could be better used. read more

Would not actually recommend coming here for fall activities. It's pretty small and very crowded. My car had to park down the hill in a dirt lot. There's no side walks or shoulders to walk on up the hill so we were forced to walk in the street. Super dangerous with a toddler and a 1 mo old baby in a stroller. There are little signs directing you to where things are but no actual sign at the spot. The staff is a bunch of lazy hs students. We paid for the hay ride and it was a ride in a trailer that cruised through mounds of dirt and mulch. We were then stranded at the pumpkin patch with no way back other than to walk. No staff was there in the event of an emergency. Then a trailer comes back and a "private party" jumped on so the rest of us couldn't get on. Another trailer came shortly after and asked if we were the private party... so literally zero coordination. There's a market but it was so crowded and the line wrapped the store. Also, way over priced. No where to get any food or drinks other than the market. The petting zoo was nice. But overall not worth the drive. Not a lot going on. They have a "winery" it's like a 8x5 ft room and you need reservations. read more

We absolutely love Abmas! Adorable spot that is the perfect activity on a nice day. We always start with the petting zoo, and then stop at the market before we leave. Yes, it's a little pricy - however, it's a family run business and I am more than happy to support it. Everything has been delicious from our experience, so no complaints there. The chicken salad (my friend recommended it to me) is excellent, and all the baked goods have been really great! I've also noticed that their berries (specifically the strawberries) are much better than the ones I get from the grocery store. Much more flavorful. Staff is usually very friendly. Some are friendlier than others, but everyone is polite and professional from our experience. Parking can get crowded during peak times. We've also noticed that the animals eat more when we visit earlier in the day, so we usually plan for earlier visits. Bring cash. read more

I'm been coming to Abma's for about 13 years.....initially I used to take my son when he was a toddler because they have animals and you can buy crackers and carrots to feed them. Llamas, ponies, piglets, a sweet and docile calf, turkeys, pheasants. It's a cute country "zoo." Sadly, those cute little piglets end up as pork chops and bacon lol. Abma's has quite a bit of farmland in Wycoff and sells their produce and other locally grown fruits and veggies. They also have an on site bakery that is baking some really tasty treats. Some of the best items that I have sampled at Abmas. 1. Apple and cherry turnovers. 2. All the muffins (esp the morning glory and blueberry) 3. Chocolate and vanilla glazed donuts. 4. The home made mozzarella is amazing. 5. The eggs are fresh and from their chickens. 6. All the chicken they sell is freshly killed on site 7. Chicken salad with bacon wrap 8. Wonderful salads: Cobb, Mesclun with goat cheese, etc. 9. Freshly squeezed, super sweet Florida orange juice. The produce is fantastic! Today I purchased some Abma's grown strawberrries. In July, I will be heading up to buy some Abma's home grown tomatoes. They also sell local honey (for those of you trying to ward of seasonal allergies.) My son is in junior high now and was at school today....but I still had to take a little walk up the hill to say hello to the animals. Tomorrow I head back to work in the city, but today on my day off...........I was a country girl buying veggies at the farm and petting a calf. read more

Awesome family-run farm! In a world full of big industries, this quaint farm stands out in Bergen County like a diamond in the rough. The petting zoo is adorable. The fresh vegetables in the store are beyond quality- you will never find anything as good in stop&shop or other grocery stores. I love that I can come here hungry; I pick up a healthy lunch and buy my groceries at the same time. I just started going to the gym right across the street, so this is a perfect place to come right after I workout to pick up healthy fruits and vegetables. I pick up eggs every time; it's so great knowing the eggs come from here as opposed to shipped in from another state. They also have a winery in the market, which blows my mind! One stop shop for sure. Nadine runs the winery, she's incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They always seem to have stuff going on for kids, which is great. Will definitely keep in mind for the future when I'm married! I've been here in the fall for pumpkin picking and always have a good time. All in all, it's a great establishment. This place was really awesome! Came here with my friend and her daughter so she could see the petting zoo and we could get some lunch. The food was very good and we ended up buying a million things on our way out. They had so many different foods, produce, cheeses, meats, eggs, salads, sandwiches, countless different desserts, specialty honey. I bought some heirloom tomatoes and I am so excited to eat those. There were also wines available to taste and buy. I loved the raspberry moscato and the cranberry moscato! Yum! Had to buy those too! And we also enjoyed the petting zoo. They had rabbits, hens, roosters, ponies, cows, sheep and goats. The animals are so cute! This is a really great place and I can't wait to come back! This place has been a savior during COVID-19. I am newer to the area and found them by searching online. They offer curbside pick up or you can go in. More than a general farm market - they have some really nice items that we haven't been able to get with online grocery pick up such as almond milk, chicken, bread, cheeses etc. Staff is always friendly and pricing is fair. I will continue to come here even after the world goes back to normal because of the quality and atmosphere. The petting zoo portion looks like it recently opened I have no gone but it looks clean and well kept. God how I miss these people. I recently moved to Las Vegas From Franklin Lakes. The ONLY thing I miss about New Jersey is Abmas. I even had them send their doggie treats to me here in LV. And they sent them UPS. What service!!! Their veggies and fruits were TASTY! Go to a grocery store and they look great but taste like cardboard! Not here. You can actually TASTE what you are buying. Small, cute farm with a petting zoo. Produce prices are expensive compared to other Bergen County farms. Ready to go one person serving size of pasta was marked at $12. Non-perishable goods like toys (a small tube with 10 plastic animals would cost you $10) were pricey as well. Maybe they also have a problem with theft given that every place I turn within the store I was greeted with laminated signs which repeatedly informed me that security cameras were in use. If I had children with me, I would probably appreciate Abma's a little more. read more

Ooooh where to start?! Went for their food market . Keeping it organized :) - home made cookies , doughnuts , salads, soups - tomatoes, cucumbers, red and green cabbage ,eggs and poultry from the farm - good selection of veggies but not grown there I bought poultry , tomatoes , organic butter ( can't compare it to any other butter - it's from a creamery from PA ) . We cooked at home the chicken, eggs ( used the butter instead of olive oil ) and tomatoes . The chicken is fabulous, there is no added water in it and it was very tasty and good and the tomatoes ! Omg!! Sooooo freaking tasty ! What I feel it should be improved: clearer retail signage ( which veggies are from the farm or not ) . For some of them it's obvious but for other is a bit confusing - for example I wanted to buy parsley and thyme and the girl from the cash register wasn't sure if it was from the farm or not ... They also have a petting zone with goats, cows, bunnies - small one but very cute :) Definitely will return soon!! read more

We came during Covid. So there were some changes. But for $3/ person the petting zoo was still worth it! The petting zoo is adorable - there are ponies, donkeys, ducks, alpacas and tons of goats. You can buy crackers and feed many of the animals. During Covid you're not allowed to go inside any of cages to pet the animals, which was a little disappointing. It's laid out in a pretty way. Just be aware: you have to go up and down hills that could be difficult for young toddlers to walk. With a child under 2 it might make sense to bring a stroller. We also went into the shop, which was wonderful. A wine room, beautiful baked goods, breads, cheese and produce. Definitely recommend stopping at the shop! read more

This is a perfect fall activity for young kids. For no entry fee you get access to the animal farm (crackers are extra- but you can see the chickens, sheep, goats and ponies for free). They have a small pumpkin display with decorative cut outs for picture taking (or attempted picture taking depending on how compliant your kiddos are). They have a farm market with fruits, veggies, prepared foods and of course apple cider donuts. I didn't grow up in this area but I imagine a lot of people associate it with fall. If you can go on a weekday it's pleasant, I imagine it gets mobbed on weekends. read more

My family and I went here today to go pumpkin picking. I really enjoyed the farm. My daughter enjoyed the petting zoo, and selected 2 pumpkins,one for herself and one for her 6 month old brother. My family and I went to this farm today. I have to small children a 2 1/2 year old (closer to 3) and a 6 month old. I really enjoyed the fact that we were able to visit the petting zoo and the small pumpkin patch without going on the hayride. (This can be quite difficult with a baby.). Abma's Farm is a fantastic, friendly, family-owned farm. There's something to do for everyone - they have a greenhouse with lots of plants and flowers for sale, a petting zoo, and a farm market with fresh food, gifts, locally made honey and a wine room! Their newly renovated & expanded petting zoo is great - they have bunnies, goats, alpacas, cows, ducks and more. I shop at the Farm Market every few weeks to stock up on fresh eggs and chicken, veggies, cheese, and baked goods. Their bakery items especially donuts and breakfast breads are delicious and their cranberry pecan chicken salad is fantastic too (ask the Jonas Brothers - they say it's their favorite!) Their prices are comparable for fresh and farm-grown foods. You know where your food is coming from, which to me is worth every penny. They do really fun events year round for kids and adults - strawberry picking, hay rides, farm dinners. I planned a hayride/pumpkin picking and wine tasting party for myself and about 20 friends/family last September. Most of the guests were adults in their 30s and older - we only had one small child in the party and we all had a total BLAST. I worked with Amanda during the planning process and she was very helpful and communicative. The price per person was very reasonable and even though the farm was super busy on the fall Saturday of our event, it went smoothly and everyone had a great time. It gets VERY busy on fall weekends, much like any farm, so go early and book in advance if you want to do a hayride or wine tasting. Can't say enough good things about this wonderful farm. read more

We went to the petting zoo on Saturday and my 2yo son had a fever right away. He's been healthy. Now he's been on and off having fever plus diarrhea the 3rd day. We should've left once we paid the admission and entered, the animal smell was really bad even in open air environment. The sanitation is a question there. Also they don't have hand sanitizer at petting zoo. Need to go to the store(?). After we exit the petting zoo and entered the store, the line was wrapping around the store. Impossible to get sanitation wipes. Since this place gears towards kids, they should've been more careful of the sanitation and provide hand sanitizer. At least. read more

This place is gorgeous. I love how organized it is and how easy to find everything I needed. It's a straight ride from the city and very much worth the trip to get the freshest and best produce. for farming, and pony rides this place is probably fine, because otherwise I don't get these great reviews... We had the most incredibly frustrating experience at this place last Saturday. My brother and his wife booked the farm for their baby's 1st birthday, weeks in advance, and were promised a 3-hour time frame (12noon to 3pm). Not only they double-booked ( human error, we get it!) they were extremely rude and unprofessional about it. The female owner called my sister-in-law ,literally minutes before the beginning of our party, to tell her "she was late" and "she better make it soon". When my sister in law replied that she had the space until 3pm, the owner yelled at her (I bare witness) and told her she was "wrong" and to "better make it soon", because "we have another party at 2pm". Arriving guests were treated to the same speech about how they were all late, even though they were not. How embarrassing... When we arrived there, a very disheveled and drunk looking guy, tried to start a fight with my very diplomatic brother for no apparent reason in front of friends and family. Needless to say, we left the farm with about a 1000$ worth of party supplies, favors, food, custom-made cake, etc.. I know people can't be really annoying, and that dealing with the general public can be stroke-inducing, but my brother and his wife are the nicest people on earth. The whole ordeal left us reeling, and wondering how people can run a business this way. All they needed to do was apologize for the misunderstanding and try to fix the situation. They were so rude to us I felt I was in some sort of a candid camera episode. read more

Better than Signor Sassi's in London (which previously held the title in my family). I've lived in Bergen County 38 of my 42 years and never knew about Abma's farm. I made a stop there today while I was in the area. I picked up some fresh produce and some meat. The meat selection was small, they had some chop meat, various types of free range chicken and sausage. Also carry pork products that are right from their farm. They had fresh eggs right from their chickens outside. The produce was very fresh. Some was from Abma's farm and some was brought in from other farms. As other reviewers stated, there's some animals that you can pet and they had wreaths, trees and flowers for Christmas. Overall it's a nice place. Hard to believe it exists in Bergen county. read more
