A good size (not too big) farm for apple picking. We came a little late I guess as most apples are already on the ground. There are several holes in the apples that are still on the trees so choose wisely. I liked that they don't charge ticket to roam around and pick apples/sunflower. Picking the apples are prices slightly more expensive than what you could have gotten from the store but apples are crispier. In terms of goodies in the store, I highly recommend the crumb cake. Maple bacon donut is ok and not worth the $4. I also got the apple cider thinking that's the normal price but after going to multiple cider mills, their one gallon of $13 is expensive. I believe Ort farm only charges $8 for a gallon

This is a lovely family owned farm. We were lucky to visit in November and enjoy their delicious baked goods. There are farm animals and the opportunity to pick produce. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking and they take Apple Pay. A great bonus is that they did not ask for a tip when paying.

A great spot for fall activities likes pumpkin picking, apple picking, and cider donuts. Love that it's dog friendly (outside). Staff was friendly and lines moved quickly. There was a cute photo area setup as well, which was a nice feature. The cider baked beans were unique and full of flavor.

A little late for apple picking but it was very nice of them to let us go into the corn maze for free. We legit got so lost and could not find our way out. There was another group in there who were lost for 45 mins when we ran into them. It was a lot of fun. Their baked goods and apple cider are amazing and done on premise and we try to go once a year to treat ourselves. We tried their apple cider float this time and it was amazing as well. Owner always also super nice and let us go pick our own pumpkin for free.

Very big farm and great fall family activity! They have apple picking, pumpkin patch, corn maze, apple cider & donuts Apple picking and the pumpkin patch here wasn't too impressive. When we went there weren't too many pumpkins to choose from But they have the most impressive corn maze that I've ever been to. It's not only big but there's also so many routes so I guarantee you will def get lost! And I didn't realize how popular this farm was but the lines here is INSANITY What I love about this place is that they are pet friendly so we got to bring our pup with us!

Brought my kids here to go apple & pumpkin picking. We had such a good time. They sell food, cider and have a cute store where they sell homemade pies, doughnuts , ciders and everything in between. We will definitely be going back next season! Very cute place. -Get there early because parking will be hard to find! - There is no entry fee. You just pay for whatever you pick! (Which I personally loved) - They offer gluten free baked goods! Which I was super excited to see being that my daughter has a gluten allergy.

I really enjoyed walking around this orchard. There were tons of apples even this late in the season and the prices are reasonable since there wasn't an entrance fee. It felt like the pumpkins were placed in after the fact and everything was a little beat-up. Keep in mind if you go on a nice weekend, it can be insanely busy. We waited nearly 30m to buy some of their doughnuts and cold cider from the shop and it feels like there weren't really many signs or instructions for those of us who has never been. Bring a camera and come on a nice day and spend an hour or so just walking around!

If you haven't tried a cider hotdog, this is your sign! I can't believe we haven't come across this before. It was so delicious that we were tempted to go back for another one, but we decided to try out their mouthwatering cider donuts instead. We were not disappointed!

Hacklebarney Farm is such a charming orchard and one of my favorite spots to visit every fall. It is a family run business that feels warm and welcoming every time. While it is not a huge farm, it has everything you need for a perfect autumn day. The best part is that it is pet friendly. I love bringing my dog along, and they even have dog treats available. Their apple cider is hands down the best I have ever had, and I have been coming here for three years straight. The apple cider donuts and fresh baked goods are absolutely delicious, and they always have a station serving apple cider hotdogs with a variety of toppings and apple cider slushy. It is a great spot for families, friends, or anyone looking to enjoy the fall vibes. Definitely put Hacklebarney Farm on your list of places to visit this season. It is totally worth it.

Came here with family last weekend and it was such a wonderful time! We did some apple picking, got to look at the pumpkins and just walk around and explore the area. The little shop was super cute with a ton of fresh baked goods. Although the line is long it moves pretty fast. We tried all the different foods, the cider donuts, the hotdogs, and even the, social media famous ice cream float! All were delicious and the fresh cider was super yummy. I love that it was dog friendly and our dog had a blast being able to just walk around with everyone. If you want to go apple picking I would recommend going earlier in the season as there were not very many left, however, the few apples we were able to pick were delicious! We did not get to do the corn maze, but maybe next time. Overall, we had such a fun time together and it was such a nice family friendly space to spend a day!

High quality donuts, a delicious apple cider and an apple orchard that flanks the setting makes this a particularly wonderful spot to visit when they are open. It has the ability to transport you back in time. I purchased three donuts so I could sample them and ended up eating them all. They were the plain apple cider donut, an apple cider donut dusted with powdered sugar and a bacon maple glazed. Each one was super fresh and absolutely delicious. My favorite was the bacon maple glazed donut. It had a wonderful contrast of salty and sweet. You could really taste the bacon. Frankly it was so good I am still thinking about it. The apple cider here is very delicious and nothing like the store-bought kind. I suspect they use multiple varieties of apples, which gives you that sweet and tart blend with every sip. I came on a Friday in late September. There was no admission fee and you could walk through the apple orchard and pick the apples without a cover charge. The apples are weighed; you are charged for what's picked. I wouldn't recommend this place for serious apple picking though. There are better places for that in the area. But I certainly recommend it for their baked goods, donuts and apple cider. Also, they are a very short drive from Hacklebarney Park. They have chairs outside so that you can sit and eat when you have purchased. Dog friendly, kid friendly and plenty of parking.

I love this place.. I mean in my opinion, they have the best apple cider!! I don't know if it's because you see how they press their cider or not, but they just taste sooo much better then other cider mill... on the weekend they also have stand outside to sell food.. like cider slushy, cider hot dog, etc, they are ok, but their plain cider, and their pastry!! Delicious!!!! Please try their apple log and cider twist if you are l you enough to see that they have some... they are out of this world!! They usually get sold out quickly... Also, be prepare to wait in line to get in to the shop.. and beware of bees!!

A little slice of heaven in Chester Updated review Pies are still amazing When in doubt always go with a crumb topping and largest size possible. Favorite pies are the crumb harvest pie, apple pie. Absolutely love love love the pumpkin crumb bread. The apple cider is great, but very sweet.

Ask the Community - Hacklebarney Farm Cider Mill

Are you open on Friday yet or only weekend still?

Do they have real bathrooms or only porta potties?

Portable ones only at the parking lot

Hi, is there seating on the property? If not, can we bring lawn chairs/blanket? This will be our first time taking a trip there!

There are some chairs and tables around but not enough when it gets popular on the weekend. You can bring blanket I am sure. Bringing lawn chairs seems a bit much.

Are you open Thursday? It says you are on yelp but on your website says only Friday Saturday Sunday.

Yes, open on thursdays from Labor Day-thanksgiving. After thanksgiving it is Saturday and Sunday only until end of season.

Do they have wine and still allow small animals?

No wine but yes for animals

Rose Bridge is a sanctuary and working farm on land once owned by William Penn. Since 2013, the farm has become a 'forever home' for over 300 animals. Many of the animals are rescues from dairy farms, livestock auctions or other scenarios where they were at risk. They have several different activities, we opted for the Farm Fest, which combined several of the activities. The Farm Fest includes a mini farm animal husbandry tour, baby animal cuddling time, hands on craft activity, a beverage bar and an outdoor fire pit. It lasts about 2 hours. There were many parents there with children, but also adults like us by themselves. There are two times - 4-6 and 6:30-8:30. We went on the 4:00 tour. It was great! It was very interesting hearing how the animals came to the farm - it was so heartwarming to hear the stories of saving so many animals. However, I wasn't expecting the 'cuddling time' to be so much fun. We started with the goats - so friendly! They were nuzzling and 'pawing' us - I sat down and several came to me and wanted to be rubbed or held. I even had an opportunity to feed a baby goat its milk bottle! We interacted with pigs, sheep, a beautiful thoroughbred horse and a donkey! It was a very special experience! Afterwards we all went to a large barn and made crafts - specifically little planters we decorated, added dirt and seeds (large selection of flowers and vegetables seeds) to take home as a little souvenir. We had a dinner reservation so we left before the fire pit activity. Overall, it was a wonderful experience to be with these farm animals and to support such a worthwhile project.

They put a ton of work into it and it's meticulously maintained. They have a few other items, but I was really only interested in the eggs and they didn't disappoint. They have a few vegetables, homemade pickles, goat cheese, honey, jam, country-style gifts, a small selection of candy, etc. I think I saw a sign for pie, but don't recall seeing any -- maybe sold out.
