It's been almost 2 weeks since I got my tattoo done by Brian. I had given him an ink print of my dogs paw print in advance. (I even have multiple really great ones and offered to send them all but he said he could work with the one I gave him). I also showed him a few pictures of how I wanted it to look; very detailed (not filled in/shaded) he said he could do it so I came back in a week and got it done. Again, I showed him other tattoos I had found online of how I wanted the print to look (dot work) and showed him one that I DIDNT want it to look like (which he grimaced at and said nah that looks like a stamp I won't do it like that). Well not only does it looks like the style I didn't want, it doesn't look like my dogs paw print at all. There is way too much shading where it shouldn't be (my dog did not have that much fur between his digits) and it makes the whole thing look messy. The individual small pads are shaped incorrectly and the largest pad is just completely wrong (shape and detail wise). The loss of my dog has hit me harder than anything I've ever had to go through - especially working in vet medicine and not being able to save his life - and I felt like Brian didn't take that seriously with how poorly my tattoo came out. If he couldn't have done detailed dot work he should've told me and I gladly would have gone somewhere else. Even if I didn't get the highly detailed dot work like I wanted, I would've been content with it looking like my dogs paw but it does not. I will be getting it removed and going to someone who will listen to my concerns and understand that this is more than a tattoo to me. I also would like to note at one point Brian said, while tattooing me, that he forgets sometimes there is a human being that he's working on. This would have been my cue to leave, had my tattoo not already been close to finishing. TLDR Im beyond upset about my tattoo and will not be coming back ever. read more

I actually loved this place and the artist that tattooed me. I walked in and showed him a picture, and within 30 minutes I was on the table! Brian was hilarious and any time I showed signs of pain, he was quick to make me laugh to keep my mind busy. I laughed the entire hour and a half I was there. He gave me clear instructions, and honest answers when I asked questions. I appreciate his time. Honestly I'll be going back to him for more work when I'm ready for a sleeve. I highly recommend! I love this place. I have 9 tattoos (5 on the fingers), and I have only gotten two from a diff place when I first started getting tattoos. I got a collar bone tattoo a few years ago here, i forget the man who did it but he was AWESOME. I'm pretty sure the owner is the one who did my rose (free hand sketch he did super quick). All of my tattoos have stayed perfect. I've been going to Brian, he is my go-to guy, even though all the guys there are extremely nice & talented. Brian always lets you know what's going to work best and especially with finger tattoos, he gives you the run down on how they fade & everything else you need to know! Super easy to talk too and a very funny guy. I'm usually uncomfortable around men and this guy just gives off comforting vibes. GO HERE FOR YOUR NEXT TATTOO!! You won't regret it!!! We've walked into tattoo shops before and were not welcomed with nearly as much positive energy and excitement as we were at About Time Tattoo. Our artist, Brian, was amazing & really took the time to figure out what we wanted, talked to us about sizing options, and fit us in very quickly. Mental Health awareness is a huge part of my life! After a long few weeks my daughter and I wanted to treat ourselves to a date day. I got my naval pierced here, it was kind of expensive i think like $70 because i needed to get special small jewelry. The lady was fun and chatted with me for a bit. She also said she had to customize the jewelry a little bit which was cool that she took the time to do that. My two friends got their navals done here too, and theirs are both healed. I don't think mine is completely healed yet, but I don't think it's the shop's fault...I think my body just heals verrrry slowly based on past experience. Also I am not sure why Yelp says they take credit cards? Maybe that is for tattoos only...when I got my naval done I was told cash only. I would also recommend making an appointment. There were a few people that came into the shop while I was waiting for my appointment...they ended up leaving because the wait was going to be too long. read more

I went here today with my sister to get a tattoo. It was clean, and a very pleasant atmosphere. I walked in with pictures of what we wanted and we worked with Dan. He told me upfront that he was an apprentice, but showed me examples of his work which made me feel confident. Kevin did my first large tattoo about 5 years ago. His wife and he were very accommodating, enjoyed that I brought friends in, tattooed my friends, and did beautiful job. My one and only Tatoo. Cannot say much for customer service skills when trying to make the appointment I was told to come in in person to do. It was explained that was so we could chat ideas. This guy was very nice. When I got to the shop I waited for about 12 minutes then dealt with the girl who did the piercings who was very rude. Dan was the tattoo artist who worked with me, I wanted a tattoo of my dogs paw print and he did a great job! I had a tattoo done with Kevin. It was nice, but I have pale skin (red head) and the colors looked too bright for my taste. I went back to have the colors darkened a bit and he really didn't appreciate that I wanted to alter their tattoo on my body. I don't even think he used ink the second time as I couldn't tell the difference. I made three more appointments that were cancelled because he was sick, three times two weeks apart. I finally left it that he would call me back when he felt better. Two months later I still have not received a call back. I didn't want the extra work for free, I just wanted the extra work. They didn't care. I went to another shop, had the colors done in earth tones and added some roses and petals around the outside. It now looks fantastic, but no thanks to Kevin and About Time. Got a cartilage piercing here. I went back to the piercer several times for advice. I followed the advice since it was not healing correctly and nothing changed. I came back again to find my piercer was gone. After 4 years of trying to get it to heal, I got it removed by an actually reputable piercer and was told the ring was too small the whole time. I now have scar tissue on my ear that may or may not go away. Sketchy and not my fault it didn't heal correctly. 0/10 would never go again. read more

Got my second tattoo here the other day. I had called on Sunday (on a whim) to make an appointment/see if there was anything open for a walk in. Nothing was available but I lucked out, as someone cancelled for Monday. I got inked by Evan who was far more pleasant to talk to than the guy I got my first tattoo from in NY. Every now and again he'd ask me how I was holding up (I was getting one of the more painful spots done). I liked the general atmosphere of the shop--it's small enough and is pretty inviting--not intimidating like some other tattoo parlors I've been in. My only two complaints would be that 1. they only schedule in person appointments and 2. they're cash only. But beyond that, I'd definitely get tattooed here again. read more
